Countertop and Backsplash Service
WORK WAS TOTALLY UNSATISFACTORY IN THREE AREAS: (1) STRUCTURAL--DECKING NOT LEVELED. FAILURE TO PUT STURDY PANEL UNDER COUNTER EDGE OVERHANGING THE DISHWASHER. RESULTANT SAGGING CAUSED TILE WORK TO NOT BE LEVEL. MINUS THE PANEL, COUNTERTOP FLEXING CAUSED A LONG CRACK BETWEEN IT AND THE BACKSPLASH. (2) INCOMPLETE WORK--TILE BEHIND KITCHEN STOVE NOT GROUTED OR CLEANED. PAINTING OVER CAULK NOT COMPLETED. SMALL AREAS BETWEEN BACKSPLASH AND CABINETS AND MICROWAVE NOT TILED. (3) BADLY DONE WORK--MISALIGNED TILES RESULTED IN CROOKED GROUT LINES. GROUT JOINTS RANGED FROM 1/16 TO ALMOST 3/8, WERE NOT SMOOTHED OUT, AND HAD SANDED AND UNSANDED GROUT IN DIFFERENT PLACES. SINK EDGES NOT CAULKED; GROUT COVERED TILES BETWEEN SINK AND COUNTER EDGES. DISHWASHER PLACED UNDER NEW WORK AT ANGLE AND WITHOUT INSTALLATION BRACKETS. UNNEEDED THICK BACKER BOARD PUT ON BACKSPLASH. OWNER CAME TWICE AND WALKED OUT TWICE WITHOUT RECTIFYING COMPLAINTS. I HAD TO HAVE THE WHOLE JOB REDONE.

"The member called me some three weeks after his job was completed and said his dishwasher was left 3/4 of an inch to far back. I told him I didn't move his dishwasher but because I was in the area I would do it for anyway. When he wouldn't let me do what was necessary to complete the moving and adjustments, I told him to do it himself. When his job was done he brought all his neighbors in to see it. He paid me in full. All his complaints are fabricated and he needs a head doctor. I've been in business for 33 years and have hundreds of customers who love me and use my services over again and again.
