Buyer beware! My first experience at Montrose Car Care was a few months back when I needed a state inspection done. I was told I needed to purchase new windshield wipers to pass the inspection due to mine not fully wiping away liquid in one spot. Well I go ahead and purchase new wipers from them and the same spot they pointed out as the “blind spot” in the wipers is still not being wiped with the new wipers!! I shouldn’t have come back after this. My second experience I came in for an oil change and I ended up needing two hoses and a battery replaced. Janae quoted me $332 which I agreed to. I come back when they are finished and the price had jumped to $799.80!!! She had forgot to mention labor is $99 an hour. She insisted she had told me the price. Well yes Janae, you did quote me on parts but you seemed to forget that crucial part where labor cost me $386.19. Not cool, especially during covid when jobs have been lost. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. Do not be fooled by them. Don’t come here unless you’re ok with paying surprise fees!

I'm upset that they charged me for a diagnostic without checking with me first. They were going to charge me $350 to just change the battery including $150 for labor. I didn't have the money in my budget to change the battery and when I told them they said I still had to pay the diagnostic which I didn't authorize. They also told me I needed to get the gaskets fixed on my car and said that my dealership would fix those because my car was still under warranty. I went to my dealership to get the gaskets fixed and they told me there wasn't anything wrong with them. I ended up being charged another $120 for a diagnostic from my dealership. I called Montrose Car Care Center and spoke with Sam four times and he hung on me four times. I was understandable upset when I first called and Sam ended up yelling at me before hanging up. When I called the second the same thing happened. The third and fourth time Sam just kept telling me if I had a problem then I needed to come up there. Montrose Car Care Center took my money for a diagnostic when they didn't do any work and then to be treated like that because I had a complaint was unacceptable.

I usually lease every couple or three years. They do an oil change every three or four months. They are real flexible and will take you to work. They don't try to upsell you any extra services and they are a very professional outfit. They are pretty fairly priced. I will continue with them depending on the lease: sometimes the terms of the lease dictate who services the car.

We are very happy with their work. Their prices are a bit expensive but they do incredible work. Their staff is wonderful.

Very professional, clean shop, friendly service and pointed out an oil leak I knew I had. I was however surprised by the price - almost $90 for an oil and filter change. That seemed a bit high, even with synthetic oil.

They are very professional, honest and fair in their prices. They work fast and are pleasant to deal with.
