Molly Maid of Greater West Houston

No vacuuming occurred, base boards were not touched, floor was pooerly mopped and a residue was left on floor, counter tops still had cleaning residue on them from not being wiped down after cleaning solution was applied. Neither worker spoke proficient English so they did not understand instructions or concerns. They walked out of the apartment after 2.5 hours of 2 people cleaning. I contacted Molly Maids and spoke with management regarding services performed regarding speed of work in an empty apartment, quality of cleaning and communication proficiency. They never offered to look at what occurred at the apartment or address any of the issues stated above. I was told I paid and they were told everything looked ok. I told them there was no documentation that was signed off on the work done and the workers never understood anything I was complaining about or any instructions given. I do not speak Spanish and no one on the company's side understood or acknowledged English instructions even when asked. I asked if we could communicate with someone at the office who could translate our concerns and I got shoulder shrugs from both workers. I was unable to get an answer at the office number when I tried calling back until after the cleaning crew left. This company does below subpar work, has extreme communication problems with clients, and will not address any concerns blaming client on any problems that arise.

They did my mother super dirt. My mother has been using them for 20 years or so, and they get a crew who come for a couple of months or years, and then move on. She had a new pair of young women, and one of them, we know for a fact, stole from my mother. She had been in there cleaning my mother's walk-in closet, and she has a drawer thing, and two of them are locked. The girl found the key, unlocked the drawers, removed the money from there, locked it, and put the key back. My mother is 87, and she was the only person who was in the house. They have a rule, that the girls cannot bring their purses in the house, they have to lock them in the truck, she brought it inside. My mother walked in, and saw her putting something in her bag. My mother called them, and the woman was defensive. They call you back, and they called my mother back.

They are very effective, very thorough in their cleaning, and punctual. For what they did for $120, I can’t have them very often.  It  was wonderful but it was pricey. I would definitely call them again. 

had to hired Molly Maid because my regular cleaning person  was injured and could not work.  I paid her $100 every two weeks to clean my house which is 6 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, 4400 SF. I hired Molly Maid and they charged me $250 for the initial cleaning.  This was NOT a deep cleaning.  They justified the high expense because it was their first time out and they were unfamiliar with the house  (which I suppose meant that it would take longer than usual to "get used to" my house. 

The company did a good job cleaning the first time (although I did not see any difference between the cleaning they did that day for $230 versus the regular weekly cleaning my maid did for $100). 

The second time they came out, they did a TERRIBLE job.  I was completely shocked.   The kitchen - they completely missed the faucet (it was not even touched), the counters were still sticky in some places with food residue, they did not wipe down the outside of the oven.  However, the master bathroom was another story.  They simply did not clean it at all.  Nothing was done except for the mirrors and glass, from what I could tell.  If there was any time spent in the master bath shower, it was a very brief wipe down.  The sink faucets still had toothpaste on them, the counter tops still had toothpaste or other grime that was easily wiped off with my finger (which meant they didn't even wipe it down), the shower still had mold (that could easily have been scraped off with a finger nail).  it was clear they did not clean the entire shower.  The shower faucets still had soap and scum on them.  They didn't even clean my laundry area (supposedly because they didn't know where it was).  The only way I was certain that they actually came was that the bed was made. 

When I called the company, the person who answered the phone was very nice.  Although they could not send someone out to clean it that day, she sent the supervisor to see the job.  He listened to my complaints and seemed professional, but honestly, I felt that every time he spoke he was either making excuses for their work or trying to justify what they did.  They sent someone out to clean it again a few days later and they did a good job that time.

The third (and last) time they came out was yesterday.  Same thing but different problems.  The floors were supposedly cleaned but there were food particles under the breakfast table, dried grass scattered in different places in the living room floor, dusty in corners, still sticky places on the floor in the kitchen, and the kitchen faucet (again) was untouched.  Again, I was shocked.

I called and got the same response - the person answering the phone was nice but in disbelief.  She said she called the crew and the crew said thy did in fact clean the floors, etc.  I'm sure they tried.  The backdoor rug was not put back but left crumpled up on the floor.  I saw them cleaning the hallway floor when I left so I don't understand how the attached living room could have been missed.

Again I called to complain and see if someone could come out and clean it properly.  They could not send anyone out to see the problems or clean it until next week.  This was not acceptable since I am having an event at my house on Monday and needed it cleaned before then.  So I spent the next hour and a half vacuuming and washing down my wood floors (about 1500 SF), and about half of my kitchen. There was dust and dirt all over the wood stairs.  They must have forgotten about that area.  They justified the quality by saving that they cleaned but the dust must have gotten stirred up.  For the price, I expected a lot more.

I requested a partial refund for the breach of contract.  They refused. Instead they offered to wipe down my cabinets the next time they came out.  I requested them to return my key. 

In my opinion, this company is extremely overpriced and does not deliver as promised.  I did not get my money's worth.

They send the same two ladies and their prices have only gone up once in the last several years. The house is cleaned the same way every time.

 The job was not done as specified, but the company responded and resolved the issues.

They did a good job, but they do not need to over price the first cleaning.

They have been great. They clean every room in my home, except for the guest room. They always come when they are supposed too.

Molly Maids was to clean my house (aprroximately 4,000 sqft) each week, with the specifications provided to them in our initial meeting. They were to arrive at a set time and clean. They were also to send the same people each week so as to be familiar with our home. The maids sent were never the same and rarely did they show up on time. Sometimes they never showed and other times they would show up at 6 pm, around the time we were getting home. (They were supposed to be there at 9 am). They used oily rags to wip off our pictures and paintings thereby ruining them and leavin marks on the painted walls. They also wiped off my 52 inch Plasma TV with the wrong type of rags, they too being oily, and ruined the TV. Additionally, most of the time we had to have someone come the next day from Molly Maids to redo it. When we called, they rarely addressed our problems. In fact, they would often argue with us. This even occurred when they would charge us for the times the maids never showed up at the house. They constantly overbilled for work which was never performed. Eventually, we gave up. I would never use them again.

They come very frequently. They are very reliable in their work and do an awesome job. My house is always clean and the workers are polite and kind.

They send two women that still go there every other week. These lady's understand that my parents are elderly. They have been just terrific. They do a great job cleaning.

First call or two I talked to a not-so-professional sounding woman and could hear young kids in the background. When I had a problem and wanted to report what I thought about it (had something to do with them not coming when they said they would), I talked to a man. His attitude was that it wasn't important. Communication with them was never what I would have expected. Then the cleaning. The last time I let them come, I went to let them out the front door and saw my whole living room floor (hardwood) covered in a pool of water. They thought that was the thing to do--spread water on the floor and leave it there. A properly trained team would have known better. And later I noticed my large serving spoons/forks were missing. Can't say they were responsible, but I had these utensils before they started coming. Very expensive work that is not only NOT worth the money, but actually could be damaging (e.g., damage to the hardwood floors).

They are overpriced for the quality of work that they do. Molly Maids also switches the associates that they send out every time. They don't take care about the furnishings in the home they broke many items of mine.

They did everything they were supposed to - vacuumed, dusted, and did an excellent job! We have hired them to come back and plan on using them twice a month.

We really expected more from the cleaners sent by Molly Maid. The windows were not done and some of the floors were not completely clean. There was dust left on high moldings and ceiling fans. What they did do was a good job, but for a final clean out; we did expect a little above and beyond what we got. They were very nice people.

I am satisfied with Molly Maids. I think the price is in line with everyone else. I have never been dissatisfied. I am happy I choose Molly maids. I feel comfortable enough to leave them in my home if I am not here. Nothing has ever been missing or rearranged. The house always looks great. I think they are wonderful.

Molly Maids is here every other week cleaning my house. I am very comfortable letting them into my home. I never encountered any problems to give me a reason not to trust them. Their work is spectacular. The price is not the best, but if you want more done you will have to pay more.

I HAVE USED THEM FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND WILL BE LOOKING TO REPLACE THEIR SERVICES IN THE NEAR FUTURE. THEY ARE NOT CAREFUL WHEN VACUUMING AND HAVE DAMAGED MY FURNISHINGS. THEY DO A POOR JOB MOPPING AND THEY SIMPLY MOVE THE DIRT AROUND (TO THE EDGES OF THE ROOM). OVERALL, I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK.

WE HAVE USED MOLLY MAID MANY TIMES IN THE PAST AND THEY HAVE ALWAYS DONE AN EXCELLENT JOB. WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDE.

SERVICE IS VERY RELIABLE. SOME LANGUAGE DIFFICULTY BUT ONE OF THE LADIES DOES SPEAK ENGLISH WELL. THE COMPANY WORKED WITH ME TO ADJUST PRICE ACCORDING TO WHICH ROOMS WERE TO BE INCLUDED. OCCASIONAL PROBLEMS WITH PARKING AND TIMING WERE RESOLVED.

ALL THE WORKERS SENT TO MY HOME HAVE BEEN COURTEOUS AND TRUSTWORTHY. THEY ARE AN EXCELLENT SERVICE.

MOLLY MAID CLEANS VERY WELL. BEST OF ALL, I CAN TRUST THEM WHILE I'M NOT HOME.
