I discontinued my service contract.

I had an air leak somewhere between the filter and the pool. I called and they were here in 2 days, found the problem and replaced a cracked hair an lint trap cover. They also assisted in rectifying a water chemistry problem.

.They had just come out to fix the light in the pool but they come out and do maintenance and cleaning of our pool weekly. They have been able to maintain the chemicals in the pool and we have never had any problems with them. They do a really good job. We will continue to use them.

Modern has an excellent pool technician (Matt) who does a great job even working around our large German Shepherd. If another pool tech cleans/services our pool then we are not quite as happy with the results. Their techs are not mechanics and therefore cannot repair or completely diagnose issues with equipment. This was in fact proven out in what took 6 weeks to identify improperly priming pool pump. We had to get a pressure/leak test on the lines and have multiple trips by their technicians. To their credit, we were able to reach an agreement after the fact which resulted in a fully functioning pump and lines.

For the limited activities of monitoring and adding for chemicals they do an OK job. The cost is also reasonable. However, they aren't very good at fixing hardware, or electrical problems when they come up. After multiple calls on a electrical problem, tenant's daughter's boyfriend was able to figure out problem in 10 minutes that the tech couldn't figure it out in 4 charged visits. So, if your looking only for someone to monitor pool and put chemicals, they are a good fit and the price is right.
