Mike Florez Painting

We purchased a home and decided to renovate our kitchen. We decided to paint our existing cabinets rather than replace them completely. Mike did a great job painting them. He provided written estimates quickly and completed the work on time. We requested faux finish on the cabinets and he provided a sample for us to approve prior to starting the job. He very thoroughly protected the interior of our home before beginning the paint job. The cabinets looked great when completed. We later purchased a new front door and asked him to paint it for us as well based on the work he had done for us in the kitchen. We would absolutely use him again in the future for any additional painting we needed. In addition to doing a great job, he was a very nice, trustworthy guy and we felt comfortable having him in our home while we were away at work.

Mike was a referral from a long-time friend and contractor we have used for years. Mike and his son Mikey Jr. came out and first provided a bid for the metal fence, which is ~175 feet and 8 feet tall around the perimeter of our property. The bid was reasonable and accepted. They spent a lot of time first power washing the metal fence, then removing rust with a brush and wire wheel, then spot priming, and then finally painting it the color of my choice. This work was performed by Mike and his son directly without any additional help and took about 3 weeks to complete.
After being satisfied with the work on the fence, I obtained a quote to re-paint our all wooden home, including refinishing the porches. The quote again was reasonable and accepted. They again power washed the entire home, sanded down most areas, and then caulked all joints (they used 50 tubes of caulk!). After priming the sanded areas, they painted the home the same colors I had there before. Considering there was a complex color scheme, I was very pleased they were able to fully replicate and also improve in certain areas. There were many cases where they detected rotten wood and pointed it out promptly to me to a**** whether repair was needed or could be salvaged by them. I was provided status reports daily on how work was progressing over a 10 week period. They performed a final walk through with me to address any areas that were not to my satisfaction.
These guys take their time to complete the job, but showed up daily, left the job site clean. As a result I am completely satisfied with the work performed.
