We built a new $600,000 custom home, our builders used this plumbing company, and they installed the CHEAPEST toilets on the market. In less than a year of living in our new home, one of our downstairs toilets over flowed causing $30,000 in damages. The insurance company determined the toilet was defective, and that all toilets installed in our new home had defective flaps. All of our toilets run, get clogged easily, and don't flush like they should. When they installed the toilets, they left about an inch of dirt inside the tank of the toilet. It looks disgusting and could be a reason why the flaps are defective??? We also have issues with the water temperature in our home. It's either too cold or too hot, and you can't adjust it. We're trying to get someone to come out and tell us why this is. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!

We had two 50-gallon water heaters connected in series, both of which  located located in the attic.  One of the two heaters developed a leak so we obtained quotes from three vendors to replace them with a Navien 240A tankless.  Meistad had previously installed a tankless on the other side of the house and I appreciated their quality of work.  The pricing on the new Navien was very fair (as was the first tankless they installed 6 years ago).

Their quoted price included removal of both of the 50-gallon heaters, installation of a new Navien in their place, and an interconnect between the two tankless systems so that if one tankless failed, the other could take over for the entire house until it could be repaired.  Meistad also coordinated with the roofers to have the roof vent flashing modified at the same time.

The workers were on time, respectful of our home, and worked very efficiently.  I can't think of anything else they could have done to make it a better experience or quality.  They definitely know their business.  The job manager (Keith) even noticed that the flow sensor on the old unit (made by Eternal who has now gone bankrupt and thus no parts available) looked to be the same as the flow sensor on the new Navien unit and wanted to research its interchangeability "just in case" we ever had a problem on the Eternal.

I will definitely use them again.

It was awesome! It was so nice to have a great contractor experience for a change.

We noticed our water heater leaking Friday afternoon. I called Meistad's emergency phone line and someone was out that evening. He fixed the leak quickly. It cost a bit more than I thought but he was courteous, skilled and fast.

Although only one heater was bad, we had both replaced. Meistad was slow getting back to us with the quote and answering follow up questions, but once the order was placed, they scheduled us for the following day. We received quotes from two other plumbers and Meistad had the best price.

The workers were on time. They were courteous, respectful and made every effort to care for our home. The workers were very self sufficient and asked very little of me. The water heaters didn't fit as they had planned so the installation took longer then they expected. In spite of having to re-route some of the pipes and vents and the prolonged installation, the price they quoted was what we paid.

I would highly recommend them.

Another plumbing company said we needed $11600 worth of trenching to repair a broken
sewer pipe under our foundation. Called Meistad (found out they had installed the original
plumbing in 2005) for a second opinion. They came out and ran their
camera all the way to the street to find the extent of the problem. They were
unable to find any broken sewer pipe under our foundation or any other plumbing problem. I offered to
pay for their service (at least an hour) and was turned down.

I am owner of 26 small (residential type construction) office buildings in NW Houston. I have used Meistad on 8 or so occasions and have been very satisfied as compared with 5 previous plumbers used over 5 years.Plumbers sent are very professional, contact me by phone when they are on the way, are very qualified in the work performed.Office dispatcher is very professional, follows up, and stays in touch by phone.Pricing is higher than most other plumbing co., but generally worth it as I feel the work is done correctly and does not need follow up.The trust factor is high with Meistad. The pricing is high. Lately they have had some turnover of good plumbers, I do not know what that means.

I was very happy with the quality of their work, but I had a major problem with their punctuality. They did not show up on the day they were supposed to show up. They never even called me back. When they finally showed up, they charged a flat rate just to show up although it was a five minute job. Their work was good, but I had to call them back within a few minutes after they left because they hadn't adjusted a pipe on the roof.

WE HAVE A NEW HOME, AND CALLED MEISTED BECAUSE THEY WERE THE ORIGINAL PLUMBING CONTRACTOR FOR OUR BUILDER. THE PROBLEM WAS THAT THE KITCHEN FAUCET HAD BECOME DETACHED FROM THE COUNTERTOP AND WAS LEAKING. THE PLUMBER WHO CAME OUT WAS ON TIME AND FIXED THE PROBLEM FAIRLY QUICKLY. HOWEVER, ONCE THE FAUCET WAS AGAIN TIGHT AGAINST THE COUNTERTOP, THE SPRAYER ATTACHMENT WOULD NOT COME EASILY OUT OF THE SOCKET OR GO BACK IN WITHOUT EFFORT. I CALLED MEISTED TWO WEEKS LATER, WHEN THE PROBLEM DIDN'T RESOLVE ITSELF, AND THEY SENT THE SAME PLUMBER OUT. EVEN THOUGH IT TURNED OUT THE PROBLEM WAS SOMETHING I COULD HAVE FIXED, THE SPRAYER CORD HAD BECOME TANGLED UP WITH SOME OTHER WIRES UNDER THE SINK- THE PLUMBER FIXED THE PROBLEM FOR ME, AND DIDN'T CHARGE ME A DIME.
