In my opinion and base on my experience with this company there way of doing business is dreadful. I believe that no one should use this company under any circumstances. My experience with this company is as follows. We thought we would do a good thing for the community by shopping locally and using a small home town mom and pop shop. This was a big mistake. The tile was installed without problems. The Problems started once the grout was installed. We had the wood-look tile installed and requested a brown grout. The grout dried white. We talked to Medrano’s and they said that this can happen because too much water was in the grout. So they tried and acid wash to change the color. This did not work. The next thing they tried was to stain the grout lines. The grout stain did change the color. It went from white to gray. So I told them about this and there answer was the label on the grout stain says brown. So we get them to come back out check on this problem. They come out and tell us it is the natural lighting causing the grout to look gray. So we check out the hallway, no natural lighting in there. We get to hallway and Mr. Medrano say’s; see this looks good it’s the natural lighting causing the problem. I turned on the hallway light and what do you know gray grout lines. Now Mr. Medrano’s answer is to not look at the tile with the light on. So we discuss the problem a little more and Mr. Medrano informs us that he has a lawyer and has been through this several times and will not fix the grout color. None the less we will have to hire another contractor to fix what Mr. Medrano was unwilling to fix.

Medrano's Superior Tile and Marble provided a fine service to us. They did very good work and are pretty professional. Always getting to the job on time. If you know what you want and can explain it, he is a good mechanic and will get it done that way.
Description of Work: We had Medrano's Superior Tile and Marble Tile remove old flooring and install 400 square feet of tumbled 12 "ceramic tile on the floor and 6" ceramic tile on the back splash.

Medrano's failed to include in their fixed price the labor to cut the travertine to size to match existing floor. I reluctantly agreed to split the $1200. Post installation they failed to clean and stain kitchen grout and had to return 2-3x. Several appointments were not kept. Post installation, the office floor began pitting and breaking through in > 1 holes. They now say that it should not be used with rolling office chairs. But it was an office with the same chairs when they came and suggested the flooring approach. Within 2 weeks they had to repair holes with filler which disintegrated into powder. Soon many more (> 100) holes appeared. They offer to fill new holes and refill old ones but won't replace flooring. Possibly substandard travertine was used, I have viewed other travertine since and the underside is more solid than ours. See photos. I do not recommend Medrano's because of poor advice, failure to live to agreed price, possible substandard supplies & poor customer service.
Description of Work: Installation of travertine (Natural Stone) flooring in living room, dining room, bedroom and office, removed laminate floor in office, hauled off trash, and cleaned and stained grout in existing matching travertine in entry way and kitchen.

Medrano's workmen were at the house early on a Monday morning to begin work. The tear down took longer than the installation because of the age of the wood flooring. They kept the area clean as the job progressed so the dust would be kept to a minimum. The flooring project took two days to complete. The entire first floor is brighter and much more attractive now. They were polite and extremely professional.
Description of Work: Medrano's Superior Tile removed linoleum and old wood plank flooring. Then installed ceramic tile in the kitchen, two bathrooms, and the family room, for a total of twelve hundred square feet.

The workmen were prompt and well behaved, but did a horrible job with the installation. The tile is uneven, with dips that now accumulate water. Some of the tile is a slightly different color, and the grout work is extremely unprofessional. Some areas between the tiles have no grout at all. They have come back to repair it on two different occasions, but it appears as if they did absolutely nothing. We should not have given them full payment until the job was done to our satisfaction.
Description of Work: Medrano's Superior Tile installed ceramic tile in two bathrooms, a hallway, and our kitchen.

This was a very negative experience we had with Medrano's. First, we had to wait half the day, before they even arrived. They did not call us to let us know they were behind. Then the job itself was horrible. The grout was all over the tops of the tiles. The tiles were installed in an uneven manner. Some of the tiles have no support underneath them. We brought this up, and they have not come back to repair it. We will never call them again.
Description of Work: Medrano's Superior Tile installed ceramic tile in two of our main floor bathrooms.

Medrano's took my call right away and came around to give an estimate for installation of ceramic tile. Their prices were a little high, but they showed me beautiful high quality ceramic tile, explained their warranties and the installer had great ideas on designing the layout in the living room. The installation was scheduled as soon as a day was agreed on and the installer showed up on time. He was very meticulous and helped me figure out a unique design for the living room shaped like a diamond. He did a fabulous job, cleaned up all the mess and left the house in mint condition.
Description of Work: The installer came to my house and installed ceramic tile in the kitchen, living room, entry, bathroom and washroom. He moved furniture as he worked and carefully moved it back in place after he finished each room.
