we went from a simple flushing of the overflow lines to suddenly a cracked drain pan 3 days later. Said he needed to clean the coil - fine - that was supposedly done. according to another company I hired after them -- he wired the a/c wrong. In between this time the a/c would not shut off or cool. After the second visit -- it was leaking like crazy.......then when he came back -- suddenly the drain pan was cracked. When I spoke to Robert - -the owner-- I told him I had put 

It went OK. But the unit they installed was bigger (more powerful) than the one they were replacing and is, therefore, noisier. And I was disappointed that they built the top part (the transition?). And it looks sort of clunky. The previous unit looked more professional as it all came from the factory.
I had them come for routine checkup in June 2006. I think I forgot to get an estimate up front, and the bill came to $235.40 (including tax), which was a bit of a shock: 82.50 for replacing relay in old electrical box, clean evaporator and treat surface;
65.00 for coil cleaner and 65.00 for labor.
 Then they were here again in June 2010 for checkup at a cost of "flat rate" of $135.
 My own reservations plus some negative websites have made me have second thoughts about using them again. But the unit has been fairly trouble-free. So I may give them another chance.

MCHENRY MECHANICAL was called by my home warranty company to service my air conditioner. The A/C was leaking from the condensation drain pipe. Not only was the technician rude and acted put out to be doing his job, he went on to diagnose the problem as a cracked drain pan. Was told that due to the age of the unit, the drain pan may not be able to replace and may need an entire new unit. After getting a second opinion from another vendor, the problem was diagnosed as a restriction of the primary drain line. The line was vacuumed and pumped out resulting in the problem being corrected. I would not recommend McHenry Mechanical.

DRIVERS & WORKERS ON-TIME. REPORTED, AFTER INSPECTING, A/C UNIT HAD A PLUMBING PROBLEM. THE DRAIN NEEDED TO BE SNAKED OUT.
