It wasn't done correctly the first time so they had to come back out, and they didn't charge me to come back out. They were pleasant people.

Purchased a deal for 3 hours of caulk and grout restoration. Originally scheduled appointment for 2pm on November 5th, but they didn't arrive till 8pm. I thought it was too late so we agreed to reschedule till one week later. Leader of crew offered to compensate me for my inconvenience by offering to use their supplies (caulk & grout) when they returned. Leader of crew arrived a week later without crew but only an hour and a half late. Of everything on my list only a few items could be finished. For one reason or another he said caulking couldn't be used in those spots, such as around faucets. He did caulk around kitchen where wall met the counter. In this area he used his own supplies. Which ran out after the kitchen. In the bathroom, the tub had a piece of grout missing near the base that needed to be patched. He did caulk around tub using the caulk I had purchased in case this happened. He couldn't use the grout I chose because it was the wrong color. Apparently the grey caulk in my bathroom is beige, still looks grey. So, he filled the large hole at base of tub with a line of caulking. Since, I didn't have any more caulk on hand and his supply was gone. He left. Update. A year on and both the kitchen and bathroom caulk are peeling away from the walls. There are areas that were not smoothed out which ends dried uneven. It looks as if I did it myself which is what I wanted to avoid by purchasing the Angie's deal. However, the caulk at the base of the tub is holding up well and look quite good. This part I am pleased with as it looks like it should a year on.

Do not trust your work or money to Julian Fernandez or Marbelous. Not trustworthy and horrible service and communication - worst experience I have ever had with a contractor. Julian was given 1/2 money up front to perform a terrazzo refinishing job. Showed up the first day on time to only do 45 minutes of prep work and recieve a 1/2 down check, then stood us up for 3 separate appointements causing myself and my wife to miss work. After being fired for his lack of responsibility, he has avoided all contact and not returned the $500 dollars paid to him. Will not answer the phone, nor return phone calls or text messages. When he has made contact, it has all been false promises and excures. DO NOT trust this person with your business. Essentially stole $500 from me. Lies, Lies and more Lies.

Did not even mention anything about receiving a refund for the deal.

I contacted this provider prior to the expiration of the service order. Julian set up one appointment, then cancelled. He set up another appointment, then cancelled. Last time I called him when he answered his phone he said he was sick. I called him back the next week, left recording..no return call. I logged onto Angies List sent him an email on Monday April 21, no response, I called his office again on Tuesday April 22, left voice mail, no response. I have sent two more emails to his address through Angies List since then, and he has failed to respond to any of them. This is undoubtedly the most unprofessional, and uncooperative contractor I have ever experienced working with Angies List. I would not let this contractor near my property now for any reason. I am filing a complaint through Angies List.

I came to the provider via a Angie'slist deal which was for three hours of service. 2 workers arrived and informed me that they would be there for 1.5 hours and that caulk was extra. I reviewed the small print of the deal and saw that these terms were in there, but there is nothing that I like less than feeling like I have been fooled. The amount of caulking that was completed by the two technicians was less than I would expect for one to do in 3 hours. It is not a lot of money, but the whole reason I subscribed to this service was to find providers I could trust. This experience left me dissatisfied with the provider and with Angie'slist for allowing a promotion that felt a little misleading.

I purchased an Angie's Deal for 3 hours of caulking or grouting for kitchen and bath for $99. The contractor was Marblelous Stone Works. I called and scheduled an appointment for 2pm on Friday, March7th. Nobody from Marbleous Stone showed up or called on day of appointment. I called at 5 pm and left message requesting a return call. Nobody returned that call. I called a week later and spoke with a gentleman. I received no apology. Or explanation. He just asked if I wanted the reschedule or if I wanted a refund. Didn't do the neatest job. There was stain on baseboards and splattered on walls. The job was ok, I didn't want it stained but they suggested, due to the original condition of tile.

Provider was a no show for the scheduled appointment. I called office and left message. No return call. I called a second time and spoke to a gentleman who offered no apology or explanation. Wanted to know if I wanted to reschedule or wanted a refund. I have requested a refund.

The Big Deal was purchased in the fall of 2013. The company was originally scheduled to come on January 25th at 11:00am. They never can and did not call to alert me of any changes. On January 28th, I was told by the company that they would reschedule for February 1st. Again the company did not show! They did call to state that they were running behind on a job and would need to reschedule for February 17th at 1:00pm. On February 17th, the company did not show and did not call to reschedule!

Everything turned out well. They did the job as I requested. They did a nice clean job and they did not leave a mess behind. There were two people here doing the work and scheduling was fine. I was happy with the work they did for me.

I didn't care for them too much. He kept saying to me that I didn't read the fine print. I wasn't very happy with him. I don't want anything to do with him any more. I didn't like his attitude, and they didn't do a good job. I would tell people to read the fine print of what they say, because that is all he kept saying. I would tell everyone to get everything that they expect from them in writing. They didn't show up when they were supposed to, and they didn't call me or nothing.

Did not return my phone messages, but after the third try, I reached him in person. He arrived perfectly on time and called to let me know he was on the way. He discussed options with me, and made sure that I understood my choice in repair materials. He did the repairs quickly, and they turned out beautifully.

Work was done well with prompt scheduling and response.

I got a deal on Angies List 3 hours worth of grout work in the Kitchen and Bathroom(s) for $99.00. They arrived on time and were very professional. My issue is that when I called them to ask what I needed (because I read on the deal that the $99 was for labor only) I was told I did not need anything. Well when they came to do the work they asked for the grout/silicone and I said I did not have any and that I was told that I did not need any. Luckily they had some and I had $40 to pay for it. They did grout work on my kitchen island, and that looks fantastic! They also did silicone work in my master shower and my children's bathtub. The work on the master shower was phenomenal! What brought the rating on quality from an A down to a B is the mess that was left on the tub in the children's bathroom. There is a layer of silicone on the tub, and since it was clear, I did not see it when they left I only felt it when I cleaned it for the first time. The bathroom did not have silicone as a sealer before it was only grout. So because of the extra silicone I had to clean up, and the fact I was told I would not need anything and it turned out that I did I gave them an overall rating of B.

We would like a refund. The services were not provided. The first appointment was not kept. I called and we agreed on a reschedule date. The rescheduled appointment was not kept. The Angie's list form asked me to choose appointment dates and times. But the vendor never called. I finally got around to calling, and then they never showed up for the appointment. I rearranged my schedule to be at home, twice to get this work done.

I was not told that if they use a two man crew, the three hours turns in to 1 1/2 hours. I was very upset. I know for fact that one of them was sometimes on the phone and when I brought it to his attention the other one said his partner was not on the phone.

I purchased the "Big Deal" of 3 hours of caulk/grout restoration labor for $99 (caulk extra). Julian was supposed to arrive at 2 p.m. - at 2:30, I called him and he said he was on his way. Called again at 3:00. He finally arrived at 3:30 p.m. We agreed that the caulk in the master bath would be the primary focus of his work. When I went in to check on him at 5:40, I heard him on the phone promising his next customer he would be there by 6, which seemed odd since he was supposed to be at my house for 3 hours, which would have been 6:30. He emerged at 5:50, asked me to write "job complete" on the invoice and sign it. I pointed out that he had not been there the full 3 hours; he said, yes, he had arrived at 3 (which was not true). He said he would not charge me for the caulk. He did not invite me to inspect the work before he left. When I went in after he was gone, I saw that there was a small tear in the wallpaper over the tub, and he had used white caulk in the shower where there had been clear before. He also missed a small section where the wall meets the window sill. After a week or so, the caulk by the sink began to peel up. I contacted him to tell him that he needed to come back and redo that caulk and do the part he missed; he said he would call me to schedule, but I never heard from him again. DO NOT hire this man to work on your house!

We have a major issue in our master bath and is why we called them out. They were honest and let us know that we needed major repairs prior to his services and even gave a referral. So we used his service for the upstairs bathrooms. They were great with schedule, did good work, and made sure we were pleased. We will use their services again in the furture.

They were okay. They did what they said they were going to do. They didn't have any grout with them. I had to go to the store and buy that. I was a little bit disappointed that they weren't prepared for that or at least nobody called me to ask what we wanted done beforehand. My interactions with them were fine.

It took them less than three hours to finish the work. There were a total of two people that came out to work, one was leading and the other was still learning the ropes. They were very nice guys! The price was really good and I feel I got my money’s worth!

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and they did a great job. I am very satisfied with it. The deal was good, but they charged me 20 Dollars for the caulking. They were thorough. He did a very good job.

I agree. The ad says "Three labor-hours replacing or repairing grout or caulk in your bathroom or kitchen". However I expected the "repairs" to replace grout with grout. Instead they removed the damage grout and replaced with the halfheartedly applied white silicon. Now the shower looks terrible, worst than DYI. A warning to future work, I would recommend you confirm grout is replaced with grout, and intersections between walls (corners) Flexible Grout, or similar is used.I agree. An Angies Big Deal, 3 hours work for $99.00. Replaced caulking around tub and shower. Very thin bead of caulk used and less than a week later, caulking has come loose from tiles. The gentleman spent almost the entire three hours in the bathroom and didn't have time to do other areas we had planned! They weren't very helpful with recommendations for caulk to furnish and/or how much might be needed. Entire job has to be redone. | |
