Someone was dispatched by our home warranty to check our gas stove top. As soon as he arrived and looked at it, he started to propose that it was a damaged by us. When we told him this is the first time it has been opened and we've had issue ever since moving in, he said that he can fix it but will need to order the parts, and will call at a later time. 
1 week later and no call from the vendor or the home warranty association. After follow up, the vendor claimed the stove was damaged and that he could not fix it, the opposite of what he told us and put on his work order. When challenged on this, he laughed. The HWA will now not repair the crack in the old tubing, and will not cover any future repairs to the appliance. 
The vendor is 75$ richer however.

Placed a call with our home warranty company and received a call from Alex within 1 hour, which is typically unheard of.  He was on his way home Friday afternoon 4pm and diverted to our residence.  Once there he diagnosed the issue and said it would require parts, which may be difficult to located.  Next morning (a Saturday) he called at 9:45am and said he located the parts and would like to to the work at 10:30am.  Alex arrived at 10:29 and required 15 minutes to replace the parts.  We were eating microwave popcorn that night.  Good work.
