Lone Star Solar Screens

I have had the solar screens since 7/2018. The problem is with customer service. I have one particular screen that has to be fixed for the third time. I’ve been calling each week for the past four weeks and they keep saying “we’ll be out Saturday or Monday” or” we ‘re short of workers”. Being short is not an appropriate excuse. I’ve put a call in to the manager and of course he hasn’t called me back. Give your money to a company that appreciates your business.

Lone Star Solar Screens had the best price and service available. Screens were ready in 4 days including the weekend. They were very responsive.

They came out to measure first and then the screens were installed around 4 days later. They were prompt for both appointments and they cleaned up after themselves. They did a beautiful job. I would use them again in the future and we've already recommended their services.

In mid-March I called Lone Star Screens to get a quote on the cost of solar screens for my entire house. We set up an appointment and they came out that week. One man came out and gave me a written quote of the cost of all the solar screens for my house. I also asked him to add on the cost of washing each window before the screens were attached. I was happy with the quote, but we had to wait for our HOA to approve all. So, in mid -May the screens color and frame color were approved as we chose them. The next day the company sent 2 men to our home in the morning and they cleaned all my outside windows in about 45 minutes. Then they put up the screens and drilled them to adhere to the existing window frames, also about 45 minutes. My husband and I were very impressed with the work they did. Good job and good value.

Everything went great. The company usually provides solar screens, full size of the window. I was looking to replace my bug/insect screens, that only go on the bottom half of the window. The agreed to come out leave a quote, since I couldn't be home. The quote was for $200, installed (12 windows). I had a quote from lowe's for custom made screens (which I would install myself). It was $350. I called that day to approve the job. The screens were installed approximately a week later. I appreciate that they were able to do the job w/o my being home. They left an invoice, and I called them w/ my credit card info. to pay. Nice and easy.

It was very easy to set up an appointment.  Terry came out and accurately measured the five windows I wanted the solar screens on.  He recommended the solar screen color he thought we be best in the area.  The screens were ready quickly.  Daniel and his crew came for the installation.  They did a wonderful job.  I can already feel the difference in my house where the solar screens were placed.  Everyone I spoke with and met were super friendly and very nice.  I would use them again.

Excellent - prompt, courteous, knowledgable, timely installation.

I really appreciate company efforts to contact me immediately after my message on angielist. They sent their reps on the day we have scheduled in time and gave us free estimate. As we read many good review about the company we just went ahead to order  and install over 20s window screens. They send their reps for 2nd time for exact measurement. As some windowscreen we wanted to have the grids over them so they will be more costly. In two week the order has been arrived and they installed the screen wihout our presence. It was so convenience as we work both. When wefound they installed one of the screen on the window that wasnt in the order, they reordered the correct one and didnt charge us for it. It's very true they charge only when the job completed and the customer is satisfied with. I highly recommend them. Trusty company! Thanks for your service, you made our home is much more sustainable with summer heat. It substantially reduces the heat inside the house.

Workman ship and quality:
- Prompt for measurement and quote.

1. - Easy to schedule work.  No need to be home for installation.
2. - Manufactured and installed in about week. 
3. - Materials of good quality.

Effective Heat Control
Solved our problem.  Master bed room use to be 5 degrees warmer than the rest of the downstairs on hot sunny days.  Temp in Master bed room now consistent (within 1 degree) rest of downstairs.

Cost:
- Quite reasonable.  4 large screen for $200.

What could have been better:
When installed, the supporting cross bar on the screens face outward and is visible.  My preference is to flip the screen so that cross bar is not visible.  It is not something we talked about during the quote process, but I thought the installer should have notice that is how the old screens being replaced and all the other screens on the back of the house were set up.   I will call to confirm flipping the screens does not effect performance and may flip them over myself later if the mounting holes line up.

Not a huge issue, but one that will be around for 15 years or so.

It was great. They were cheaper than the previous people that I had talked to. I can't tell you exactly what the price was but they were real quick. They did a great job. They cleaned my windows before they put them on and I was real impressed with the service.

They did a great job, even cleaned my windows before putting the screens up.

they came out and gave me an estimate right on the spot. the guy measured all the windows, showed me the different types of screens. the did come back to do more detailed measuring for the actual manufacturing of the screens. I think it took about ten days before they came back to install. not a bad time frame for custom work.
