WAITED OVER 7 MONTHS AND WORK IS STILL NOT COMPLETED. ALTHOUGH COLLECITION AGENCY SAYS WORK IS COMPLETE AND IS DEMANDING FINAL PAYMENT. I FEEL LIKE THEY ARE SCAMMING THE INSUREACE COMPANY (CLAIM WAS FOR HAIL DAMAGE.)

Horrible. Had a meeting with a representative from the company went over scope of work. Employee took measurements and promised a bid be the end of the week. 3 weeks later and NOTHING.... i have made a follow up phone call to the main office inquiring about the bid and sent a text message to the company representative's cell phone and still heard nothing. How about a not interested in your bathroom remodel. Very unprofessional. Please don't waste your time with this company.

Finished results were very good. Only problem encountered is the apron (edge of driveway) cracked into pieces in two spots.

Contract negotiation was a pain. They do things their way, and only their way. You are required to waive being told who their subcontractors are, for example. They use a mix of their own employees and sub-contractors. The work was mostly on schedule. The quality of the work was below my expectations. The plumbing contractor they use is horrible. They started a fire in my unit when soldering pipe. They left a rag down a toilet drain that had to be fished out after the job was over. Sinks leaked and had to be redone. The painters were back 4 times to touch up areas that they had missed. Tile grout had to be redone due to voids. Glass shower doors had to be redone due to a bad fit. To their credit, they tried to make all these things right. In the end, the result looks pretty good. It was simply way too much hassle due to poor trade crafts and rework.

Quote was good.  Reasonable.  Quote was a couple of days late and timing of construction start did not work out.  Would use in the future.

They were just 60% more in their quote  then the next guy.

They were very responsive. We were purchasing a foreclosed home. I needed to get some remodeling work done on the house before we moved in. Those were the terms with the bank. I contacted a lot of contractors. I wasn't entirely satisfied with what they were offering me. I had an AC system that had to be replace or serviced and that was the major issue. Many of the other contractors seen that I was in a hurry to get this job done. They kept pushing me to replace the entire system. I remember Lone Star telling me that it wouldn't be necessary to replace the entire system until they got here and then they said it would be necessary. Then the price went from one thing to something completely different. I already had someone evaluate the system and it was a little old but it still had some life on it. Actually, I'm currently using it.

The price was fair but it was more than some of the other ones. They were good. I didn't go with them.

They were knowledgeable, thorough, and professional. They are well established in this area I think. They answered all my questions. They were quick to respond. I did not use them. I thought about of getting them for another one, but I did not follow-up with them to do that. I might consider them for another quote in the future. I felt like they did a thorough job of giving me a quote, but they were on the high-end of the range that I was looking at to spend. So, I hired anther contractor.

I originally started this process with another design/build company..they kept delaying start of project until I realized that they would not be able to do the work. So, after nearly 3 wasted months I called Lone Star (on the recommendation of a realtor). Wayne Ball was very prompt, immediately grasped what I wanted to accomplish and had some great ideas (enlarging the shower, for instance). From the very beginning they have been pretty much on their original schedule. Remodeling is not a pleasant experience with the dust, inconvenience, no kitchen, etc. but at least they realize that and try to minimize the impact. The few times there was a problem--for example, one night I came home to find my side of the garage blocked--I called and someone was out in a few minutes (at night) to move things so I could pull the car in the garage. They were also very careful with the pets--I have dogs and cats. The cats were not always amenable to being locked up so were usually loose in the house--doors were kept closed, open pipes and other "cat attractors" safely secured every evening. Overall, the experience was, if not pleasant at least tolerable. The quality of the work is excellent. Requests for payment included a detailed accounting of materials so you can see exactly what you are paying for each time. I need to remodel one additional bathroom and do a bit more painting and plan to use them when I am ready to do the work. I can't recommend them highly enough!

The interaction was very good, but nothing stood out in particular.

They are very professional, efficient and respectful. They also explained things really well and answered all my questions. They also try to work on something that I suggested, even in the middle of the work. They cleaned up everyday after they were done with the work for the day. They did a wonderful job and I was very satisfied with their quality of service.
