The plans for the building site say that the foundation should not have been built on a lot with over a 5% grade, and this was obviously violated. They did not drain the slope of the land surrounding the home properly so during a moderate rain water flows up and backs up on one side of the house. We also found cement inside the 2-inch pipe of our sink as a result of the foundation pour. They apparently did not cap the pipes when they poured the cement. We now have to rip up the kitchen tile and concrete foundation to fix this issue. They missed various sections of insulation in the upstairs attic. There is a large crack spanning across the middle of the house at the foundation. Two structural engineers verify that the foundation is failing. We are in fact currently in litigation with the provider as the damages will cost tens of thousands of dollars in repairs, and we have already paid thousands of dollars in attorney fees.
