When I went in to have the oil in my car changed the mechanic tested all the fluids and recommended changing my brake fluid, transmission fluid, and other unneccessary repairs. He made me feel very guilty about my car so I took his recommendations. I ended up spending over $400 when all I wanted and needed was an oil change.
