**I can assure you that I am not a scam reviewer. Just look at the other reviews for work done in the same time frame as mine - late 2014, early 2015 - and you'll see the same types of delays described as I experienced - blaming the cabinet company, blaming the shippers, etc.
Pictures of the work in progress can be seen at https://picasaweb.google.com/105648843183920851778/KitchenCabinetRefacersLLC
As you can see, the outcome was not bad, but the HEARTACHE and HEADACHE involved were immeasurable. I have to reiterate, I wouldn't wish my experience on my worst enemy.
"Our company is not a scam and unfortunately, we have someone that is making up reviews that are not REAL! We have not heard of (removed member name) nor have we done any work at the address listed. Not sure why they would stump so low into making up negative stories regarding our company and jeopardizing our good name."
We signed a contract on 10/2/14. We wrote the first check on 10/10/14 and were told by the owner, Paul, that the work would be done the week after Thanksgiving - around Dec. 1st. The second check was written on 10/15 when the installer, Pablo, came to take measurements. Then, a few days before Thanksgiving, Paul called and said the factory wasn't able to get the product out on time. No problem, we thought. A week or so delay is understandable. But, that week or two went on and on. We called repeatedly to find out when the work would be started. Each time we were told the factory wasn't able to get the product ready yet.
Finally we received a call asking us if the work could start the day after the Super Bowl. Needless to say, this was terrible timing and did not work for us. We asked for a delay of 1 week. That delay put us off another 3 weeks and then finally we were scheduled for the work to begin. But, even after calling and setting up a day for the work to begin another delay of two days was necessary. So, our kitchen cabinets and drawers were empty and we were in disarray for an unnecessary time again.
The work was started in the middle of the week and Pablo, the installer, did a wonderful job as well as his Father who assisted him. They were professional and knew what they were doing. Unfortunately the factory had sent 2 cabinet doors that didn't fit and one of the installed doors had a scratch. Pablo notified them immediately and they put a rush order on them. They arrived the following week and everything was finally finished. Pablo even came back the following week and added some trim that was not originally in the order.
Thank goodness for Pablo and his Father and the work they did.
It took from October 2, 2014 to March 4, 2015 to complete the job as promised. That's 5 MONTHS.
"Yes unfortunately the order was delayed because of terrible icy, stormy weather, The factory is located in Minnesota and when the weather is bad it's horrible. We had some of the products shipped by U P S Air, The problem was the lost the 3 packages, it was around Thanksgiving, it took them a week to locate them and finally it was delivered and we were able to commence with our work. As a good faith gesture the homeowner asked for several hundred dollars worth of molding installed and we did it without any charge. We made their kitchen beautiful."
Critical visit was excellent, owner very helpful in selections and provided detailed history with examples of previous installations. Installer has excellent detail and precision in making cabinets having symmetry. Door pulls ? alignment. Excellent product and people.
They required a 75% deposit up front. Time was of the essence, and we agreed they would expedite my order so it would be installed before a certain date (within a 3-week period). After 1.5 weeks, they informed me that they could not do the job because their manufacturer would charge them more than our contract price. They stated they would not refund my $7,800 deposit until they received a refund from their manufacturer.
When I asked why they would not issue a refund immediately, so I could still try to get the job done by someone else on time, they said the "did not keep that kind of cash." I was shocked that they would not have enough assets on hand to refund my money, given that no work whatsoever had been done and it was doubtful (to me) that they would have ordered any materials, given the manufacturer's position on the price.
The only assurance they have given me that I will see my hard-earned money again is "their word", and I am just praying that I have not been scammed.
Beware when dealing with this company in the future!

To follow up: I finally received my refund--around the date when the entire project was supposed to have been done. The company blamed the manufacturer for poor communication. It's probably fair to place some blame with the builder but these guys still fell too short.
"Partially the story is true but Incomplete. The homeowner was told to pick a door from the catalog that was on the list of doors that was available for immediate shipment, but instead she selected a custom made door that took a longer time to make, we were unable to meet her date for installation, her deposit was originally sent to the Manufacture, while we waited for the deposit to be returned we kept in touch with this customer, as soon as we received the deposit we notified her and she came to our office to pick up a cashier check for the amount she gave us. Unfortunately this happened to this nice lady, over the many years in business and thousands of satisfied customers I am truly sorry this happened. Thank you. Paul Schwartz CEO"
