It went well to start with but now several years later I can not get them to come back and fix the 2 lights that do not work.

They never finished the work. She did a sketch and sent me a couple of pictures that took maybe 15 minutes. It was automated stuff and didn't identify the plants that I needed. It didn't identify anything on the plan. It didn't happen. It wasn't more than the big deal. She was a nice lady and came out to look at what we had. She never got back with a plan, other than the sketchy thing. She got back with me in the beginning but, then her computer went down and I didn't hear back from her. She was punctual for the first visit. She was professional when she came out but, didn't do a follow-up, or perform the services.

We moved into a brand new house the first part of October that needed a total landscape design for the back yard.  After reviewing Angie's List recommendations, I called 2 different companies, and ended up selecting K&E Services, which turned out to be a huge mistake.  Sarah came out on the day of the appointment, and appeared to be quite professional and dependable.  We reviewed our ideas with her and chose a type of plan for her to complete that would give us the total picture of the finished product.  She did tell us they were so booked with Christmas lights that they could not complete any work, other than possibly planting some trees, until February, which was fine with us.  We paid her then, and the check for $395 was deposited quickly.  She assured us she would be back with us within a week with the draft of the design.  A little over two weeks went by and I didn't hear anything.  I tried calling her and left a voice mail, which she never returned.  A day or two later, I called the office number, which was answered.  The lady I spoke with told me she would contact Sarah.  She did, and Sarah then contacted me.  A follow-up appointment was scheduled.
Sarah came back out to the house with the black/white drawing of the plan.  We asked for a few very minor changes, which she said would be very easy to do.  Again, she said she would have the completed, full-color, laminated plan to us within a week.  She was also supposed to get some quotes on having some trees planted immediately, which she assured us could be done.  Although our plan was to implement this massive (to us) landscaping project in stages, she did tell us the total cost, once completed, would be approximately $30,000.  However, I guess this type of cost is not worth their time, since three weeks later we had still not heard from her.  
I called the office and left a message; no return call.  I called the office the next day and talked with another lady, who took the information and said someone would call me back; no one called.  I called the office again, and was told that she had told Matt, who had talked with Sarah, but she didn't know what the outcome was.  Matt was supposed to call me back; no return call.  I called again, and just happened to call at a time that Matt was there.  During the conversation with him, he told me he knew nothing about the problems we had been having and that no one had said anything to him.  He assured me he would contact Sarah and would call me back.  He did call, and told me Sarah would be calling soon, that since the problems were with her, she needed to address them.  Sarah did call back within less than an hour.  
Sarah apologized for her lack of response and her total lack of follow through.  She even mentioned this was not her general style, although reading the reviews that are on Angie's List leads me to believe that others have had the same experience with her.  She assured me she would get me the tree quotes and the finished plan by Friday, November 27.  I told her she could forget the tree quotes since we had already gone out on our own, purchased 5 trees, and they were already installed.  She tried to excuse her lack of follow through on how busy she was with Christmas lights, but had no excuse for never contacting me to inform me that she was behind on her commitments.  When she asked how she could "make this right," I told her that all I wanted was my finished plan and that we would not be doing any business with them in the future.  
Sarah delivered the full color plan on Friday, November 27, as agreed, but it was not laminated, as had been promised.  However, I will not be pursuing this with her since, frankly, I don't want to have to deal with her or this company any more.  I also wonder if I was overcharged for the plan, since other reviewers reported plans being developed for much less.  We also did not, to my knowledge, receive the Angie's List discount, even though I told the office during my first call that I had found their name on Angie's List.
In years of using Angie's List, this is the first negative experience we have ever had with a vendor we picked through Angie's List.  I also guess they have all the business they can handle since a $30,000 project does not appear to be meaningful to them.  I would highly caution anyone looking for a landscaping company to stay as far as possible away from K & E Enterprises in general, and Sarah in particular.

The young lady Sarah came out and was very nice and polite. We discussed what I wanted in the plans and what I did not want. I went over what I knew would not work that I had used over the years. I had the list of Do's and Don'ts based on what works with the weather that we have in Houston. She sent the pictures on August 20, 2015 and it was everything I stated that I did not want. She had added her own huge rocks, but I wanted to use my own rocks that I have spread throughout the yard. I have attempted to get the plans corrected and they have not followed through with sending the correct plans.

Matt's crew made time to take care of us. The end result makes our house look brand new. The crew was very friendly and hard working. They came when they said they would and then did even more than they had promised. If we were staying in the area I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.

It went okay.  She was professional, on time, pleasant. The drawing of the  proposal wasnt' exactly what I had in mind, so I need to follow up again with her to see what other ideas she had.

She didn't really give me what I had asked her for, but she did invite me to follow up with her if I wanted anything changed, which I didn't do.

Sarah came out to see the property and then prepared a design that we loved. Once we have the money together, we will definitely be hiring them to do the work.

Landscaping is beautiful!  I was very impressed with the quality of service and responsiveness.  The price was very reasonable and the work performed was even better than expected.  Matt is a true professional that stands out from his competition.  Also had him give me a quote on lighting and landscaping for my own yard since I was so impressed with his work on my listing.  We plan to have the work done in the future.  Highly recommend!
