"Thank you very much for your business and choosing us for your moving needs! Let us know if we can serve you in the future."
"Thank you very much Mrs. [Member Name Removed]! We appreciate you and your business! May the Lord bless you and make your stay in South Carolina prosperous! By the way, just a quick correction, we are agents for National Van Lines, not Nationwide Movers (this is another company in Houston) :). Thank you again and God bless!!"
"Thank you so much for the great review and for your business! God bless!! Let us know if we can serve you in the future"
"Thank you very much for the great review and for the business! God bless you and let us know if you need anything in the future! :)"
The first stop was the new apartment. This was very difficult too. The complex does not allow any trucks to pull inside of the fence. Thus, they had to park on the street and haul everything down the road at least 100 yards to get to the elevator and come up a floor and then down the hall to our apartment. Again not a word of complaints.
After that was done, they drove over to the storage unit and hauled the 42 boxes to the unit and put the boxes in numerical order!
We were so pleased with them and their job.
"We did move the member and her friend on 5/18/12. The move apparently went very well according to the friend who said on an Evaluation report we have that this was, "one of the best moving experiences I've ever had... and I've moved a lot!" and she also said it was an "excellent job!"... The member is claiming sticker shock on the price when the move came to a total of $1,089.00 and the estimate that was given to them was $902.00. It did go a little longer than estimated, but not grossly over. Also, with the damages or dings that the member is speaking of, we have never heard anything from them about this until this Angie's List review. When we have dings and damages with our moves, we do the best we can to take care of our customers with this. We are sorry to hear that the member has a different opinion of us than her friend. This is a very tough business to be in and we try our hardest to please our customers, but there are some customers that simply cannot be pleased. Once again, we have never been called about the dings or damages that the member is claiming to have had on the move. We still try to provide the best moving services in Houston, TX and we strive to continue to do so."
"(Member name removed), we wanted to send a great thanks to you and your family for your business in the past! You have been a wonderful customer and we wish you the best! It's always good to hear comments from customers that appreciate the hard work and stress that moving brings and we always look forward to calming any stress for our customers and serving as best as we can!"
"WE MOVED THE MEMBER IN AUGUST OF 2005 AND SHE IS NOW MAKING A REPORT ABOUT OUR COMPANY. THIS IS A VERY POOR THING TO DO AS A CUSTOMER OF ANY SORT, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE CLAIMS THAT SHE IS MAKING ABOUT OUR COMPANY WERE EITHER RESOLVED OR SHE DID NOT REPORT THEM BACK IN 2005. WE MADE A SETTLEMENT WITH THE MEMBER BACK IN SEPTEMBER 27, 2005 FOR SOME ITEMS THAT WE DAMAGED AND SHE ACCEPTED OUR SETTLEMENT. SHE IS CLAIMING SOME THINGS IN THIS REPORT THAT SHE DID NOT CLAIM WITH US BACK IN 2005 AND WE ARE ASHAMED THAT SHE WOULD DO SUCH A THING TO TRY AND DESTROY THE REPUTATION OF OUR COMPANY THAT HAS BEEN RUNNING FOR 40 YEARS AND RARELY HAS BAD REPORTS. THE MEMBER CLAIMS THAT THERE WERE MANY ITEMS THAT WERE BROKEN IN HER POD, HOWEVER SHE ONLY CLAIMED TWO ITEMS THAT WERE DAMAGED WHICH WE MADE A SETTLEMENT ON. MAYBE THIS IS NOT THE SAME MEMBER AS WE HAVE ON RECORD, BUT WE DO NOT HAVE ANY OTHER RECORDS OF MOVING ANOTHER PERSON BY THIS NAME FROM 2005 ON. WHY WOULD A CUSTOMER MAKE A REPORT ABOUT A COMPANY 4 YEARS AFTER THE SERVICE WAS COMPLETED. THIS CLAIM THAT SHE IS MAKING WAS RESOLVED IN SEPTEMBER OF 2005."
"THIS CLAIM WAS RESOLVED SEVERAL MONTHS BACK IN 2008. THE MEMBER WAS PAID BACK FOR MANY CLAIMS THAT SHE MADE, WHICH DID NOT ONLY ENTAIL THE PACKING PART OF THE MOVE. BEFORE WE EVER SCHEDULED A MOVE FOR THE MEMBER WITH NATIONAL VAN LINES, INC., THE MEMBER TOLD ME THAT SHE BELIEVED "THERE IS A SPECIAL PLACE IN HELL RESERVED FOR VAN LINES". THE MEMBER ALREADY HAD IT OUT FOR THE MOVE THAT SHE WAS GOING TO CLAIM SOMETHING BECAUSE SHE HAS MOVED MANY TIMES BEFORE AND EVERY TIME HAS BEEN A WORSE EXPERIENCE. MY PACKERS TOLD ME THAT WHILE THEY WERE PACKING, THE MEMBER WAS TELLING THEM TO UNPACK AND REPACK BOXES THAT WERE POORLY PACKED BY SOMEONE ELSE. THEY ALSO REPORTED THAT THE MEMBER SAT ON THE BOXES TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY WERE PACKED WELL. IT WOULD BE RIDICULOUS TO THINK THAT YOU WOULD PACK ANYTHING ON TOP OF A BOX THAT IS THE WEIGHT OF A HUMAN BEING AND THIS TEST OF HERS IS SEVERELY FLAWED. FURTHERMORE, THE MEMBER HAD MANY BOXES STILL PACKED FROM A PREVIOUS MOVE AND WE DID NOT PACK ALL OF THE BOXES THAT WENT ON THIS MOVE. WE PACKED UP 165 BOXES ON THIS MOVE AND THERE WERE AROUND 300 BOXES FOR THE MEMBER. I WOULDN'T DOUBT THAT THE BOXES SHE IS CLAIMING DAMAGE ON ARE BOXES THAT WERE PREVIOUSLY PACKED OR THAT SHE PACKED BECAUSE I KNOW THAT MY MEN PACK PROFESSIONALLY. ALL OF THE CLAIMS THAT THE MEMBER HAS MADE FOR OUR COMPANY HAVE BEEN RESOLVED."
