Joan gave great advice on how to best prepare my house for listing, she had a professional photographer come and take great photos, she negotiated with several buyers to come to the best agreement with one day of listing. She is like having a close friend working for you. She has now assisted me in both buying and selling a home. I will definitely use her services again in the future.

Joan sold a rental I owned and it was a difficult transaction - and she stuck it out.  What a class act.

We have used Joan House for three real estate transactions, the sale of our first home (modified FSBO) in 2004, the purchase of our second home (2004), and the purchase of our third home (2016). We were very pleased with Joan's work for the first transaction, so we have continued to use her for all of our subsequent transactions (with the exception of the sale of our second home, which was a company-managed relocation). Joan is very experienced, works hard for her clients' interests, and has provided good, reasonable advice when needed. For our most recent home purchase, we looked at roughly 20 homes, and Joan was very patient the whole time! She was easily reachable and available for showings (which were all evening and weekend appointments), and communicated quickly with us if she would be unavailable due to other commitments. She managed the closing process completely, so that we only had to do the minimum amount of work prior to showing up at the title company to sign the paperwork. We have a great deal of confidence in Joan's expertise and experience, and would certainly recommend her to anyone looking for a real estate agent.

She was great, one of the first at that time to post lots of pictures on har.com mls and often stepped in to correct errors made by showing agents from other agencies who were clueless about  the process.  Always on time or early for appointments or showings and always available to answer any questions we had.  We referred Joan to all our friends that were buying or selling and all were happy with the results. Some have worked with her several times over the last 12 years.

We could not be more satisfied with the services that Joan provided us with.  We worked with her to sell our home in Bellaire in August of 2013.  When the buyer backed out - Joan's incredible contractual expertise secured our earnest money.  Within a few weeks the house was under a successful contract.    NOTE 1:  Joan sells homes on a flat fee basis - $1500.   It seemed to us there had been quite a bit more work than "normal" with the sale of our home - but Joan only took her $1500.
Joan worked with us for the next year as we tried to get our next home.  Joan met us anytime we saw a place we were interested in.  She never once commented on the work and time it took us to secure the home we wanted.  We think Joan's contractual skills and negotiation skills are excellent and believe that is why we were able to get the home we now have.   
 Note 2:  Joan reimburses the buyers some of the money she earns from commission.  It is a graduated percentage - depending on the price of the home and her commission.
What we particularly appreciated about Joan's services were her constant professionalism, her incredible listening skills, and her inability to get frustrated through any of this process.  Joan listened to what we wanted, what we did not want and most importantly guided us through each step so we received what was fair throughout both our selling negotiations and buying negotiations.
We were first interested in Joan's services after we saw her fees.  We saved thousands and got much better services than with any of the previous realtors we had worked with.  However, her caring attitude, her contract and negotiation skills, her listening and patience though the closing process were absolutely outstanding.  We don't wish to move again - but we would never use anyone else if we decided to.
