UPDATE So now 2 weeks after Erik Pena came to fix 4-5 zones for me, 15 out of my 19 zones no longer work (and I honestly don’t know for how long; only tested it 5 days ago and found out). So Pena came back today and said some line “is cut” and the office told me he’d get 30 minutes to find the cut and then would go from there. Of course 30 minutes later, they said couldn’t find the cut. I checked on them an hour later and they were checking in the areas they’d worked in last time. They now told me they were checking to see if my old lines in that area worked (a complete 180 from them wandering around looking for a cut line). I came out later to check on them and Pena was on the phone chatting and both of them were not working. He made eye contact and clearly saw me walking towards him but he decided to ignore me and walked away towards his truck and kept on talking. After a couple minutes waiting, I decided to record. Then I asked his partner, Darwin, if he was calling the office, to which he said “I dunno.” I called the office to double check and while I was waiting for office to check, Pena came to tell me he’d need to run whole new lines of wires for me because my “wires are too old, too many cuts”….. After a few minutes, he found out I’d called the office to check on him and got real mad, told me I should’ve been man enough to ask him “face to face”…Well, I said I would if he didn’t just deliberately walk away from me. And I asked his partner Darwin face to face, man to man, whether Erik Burgos Pena was talking to the office. He was too butthurt and decided to walk off my property and said someone else would do the work. And he overcharged my hours deliberately for today, “2.75 hours”…for the work done between around 10:15a-11:50a. I know because I specifically looked at the time knowing this guy. In response, Pena said he got the time too and I could talk to the office if I want, then he drove off. I sure called the office and Yolanda sure confirmed my time and readjusted the hours. Pena had the audacity to FLIP ME OFF as he was driving away from my property. REMEMBER THE NAME. REMEMBER THE COMPANY. That’s all I gotta say. Read the other negative reviews. There are plenty of other companies. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY ERIK BURGOS PENA. —————- I have spent over 5K on these guys in 2023. They did complete system checks and still missed leaks I would later find. They changed a bunch of leaky sprinkler heads for me (I have 19 zones and a lot of problems/work for them) in April and May. One of the ones they just replaced started leaking profusely again so I asked them to come back to fix. They said they never replaced that and showed me the pictures of what the other technicians had taken. If I have the ability to spend over 5K on them, another $40 for a sprinkler head doesn’t carry a lot of weight for me. I certainly don’t need to be making anything up. It was infuriating to see a company not only refuse to take accountability for their work but wouldn’t even take the courtesy of calling up the prior techs to verify. The prior techs were also the only ones that worked around the valve boxes and now a few weeks later, they came and found the wires “cut”….And I had to pay $1900 to fix that. It couldn’t have been the landscaper (lines were buried) and I certainly didn’t dig in those areas (just have to trust me on this). DON’T USE THEM. I certainly never will.

Do not trust the good reviews on this site. Go look at them on Yelp. I'll sum up my review to start things. If you are considering them - save the heart burn and find another service provider. We recently used JB for work on our sprinkler system when the company we typically use was not able to get to the work in a timely fashion. The problem was straightforward, the sprinkler system was not turning on. What a colossal mistake calling JB. They came out and worked the system to the tune of $2,350 on the first visit. They left with assurances that everything was in fine working order and sent an invoice and pictures detailing some of the work including pictures indicating they inspected and signed off on the controller box. The system never turned on even once after they left. When I contacted them later to come back out they sent a different representative who rather quickly diagnosed that the control box needed to be replaced. Now understand that the system did not come on once after their first visit. Another $715 which included this technician's time to come out and do the work. When I called to complain about the technicians missing the bad controller box the first time they came out - they gave me the run around and tried to tell me the box must have failed the moment their team left. I certainly don't believe in coincidences like that. The box was bad from the get go and they did not figure it out. This lead to a redundant trip and some redundant charges. As previously noted, if you are considering them - save the pain of getting taken advantage of and find another provider.

called them to fix my sprinkler system. They came and charged me 125 to diagnose the issue(they tried to charge me 155 instead), after that, they said all the repairs would cost me over $800.00 ON TOP OF 125 diagnosis charge. I had to pay them diagnosis for not doing anything at all AS THEY wouldnt leave if not paid. Later another contractor charged me $200.00 to fix everything, no diagnostic charge at all. No one should pay just to get a quote. I want to give them negative star if I could. DONT USE THESE GUYS.

Well the company is extremely pricey. They charge $125 just to come out to tell you what is wrong. Even if you have them perform they work the recommend, that price only includes one hour of service. Any time spent over one hour is billed in 15 increments. I had them replace my outdoor controller with a brand new RainBird for a total cost of $442.17. That was in 7/19. In Sept 2019, I had to call them out because the controller they installed was giving a warning notice. Again, $125 just to come out to look at what they installed just two months earlier. This time they said an electric valve was not working on station 6. So again, I paid them to perform the repairs and again there were additional labor costs for time spent over the one hour. So for that visit, I paid $356.07. The system has not worked for several months but given the season I waited to get service. I did not use them because their prices are excessive. I used a very good service that provides FREE estimates. And guess what, the controller was bad and the electric valve on station 6 was bad. Not even one year later on either, even less time on the valve repair. So I call JB Irrigation and yes the controller is covered for ONE year only but I have to pay for all labor costs - $125 for showing up and anything that takes longer than ONE hour. The valve is just plain not covered any longer - the one they replaced in 919. They offered no solutions and really did not care if I was upset or not. I asked to then just get my replacement controller that was under warranty but they would not do that unless I BROUGHT THE OLD ONE TO THEM!! The service man from my new company was here while I talked with JB Irrigation and was totally shocked at the service and the warranty period. I showed him the receipts for the services they had performed and he even took pictures of them. He was in shock at their warranty and service policies. Needless to say, I now have to replace everything JB Irrigation did less than ONE year ago at a total price of $445 for both the controller and the valve and have a 2-3 year warranty and they come out to repair their work with no cost to me. My advise is to NEVER use this company unless you don't care how much money you spent with them due to the poor quality of their work and company policies.

JB Irrigation has serviced my yard for more than 10 years. They are quick to respond and absolutely thorough in their inspection, repair and replacement for preventative maintenance. They have never, not once, over-sold me on unnecessary parts or service. I see what some neighbors go through when the temperature drops below freezing for several days or they fire up their systems when winter is finally over, they have breaks and/or spouting sprinklers, which I don't have thanks to JB. They must be a good company to work for because the same crew has been coming all these years. They have given me French drains, moved my in-ground sprinkler heads when I changed my landscaping, and provided annual service. I couldn't be happier with this company and have never considered going elsewhere. You can trust JB Irrigation.

We were in the flood and they came out to make sure the system was working properly. They do good work. To improve the service was to be more punctual, but they are doing everyone in the flood so I understand.

(1) Punctual. Received 30 minutes noticed and arrived within 2 hours appointment window. (2) Good communication with homeowner and knowledgeable about sprinkler systems. (3) Checked that all systems operated properly. Adjusted heads and spray patterns as needed. (4) Replaced two damaged leaking spray heads and one damaged leaking buried line. (5) Detailed itemized bill of services at reasonable costs. (6) Efficient 2 man service crew. I used JB Irrigation 2 years ago for similar work with equally very satisfied results.

JB Irrigation takes care of our sprinkler system when it breaks. So I was excited to see that they also take care of drainage issues in the yard. The company was quick to come look at our drain problem in our back yard. I was given good details about what they would do to fix the problem. The service was prompt. The men did a great job with the project and placing all of the grass back over the new drain. I am very pleased with the work and the great communication.

Terrible experience. Please note: This company did NOT give us an estimate, just started the work without our "ok" to start the work. We were told the hourly rates labor rates on phone, in fact we were told that ***IF*** we decided to use their service, that the service call fee would go toward our first hour of labor- this sounds reasonable. The guy came to the door and asked where the leak was, and I showed him. The next time he came to the door, he had a bill in hand for over 1 thousand dollars. We were never given any sort of estimate or even an option to move forward with the job or not. We would have never chosen to have this company do the work at that price. We would have paid the service charge and moved on, but we were never given the option. This is the first time we have ever had a company do work without giving an estimate. If I could go back, I would have "babysat" the workers and asked a lot of questions about price, but who should have to do that? Although we're not upset with the labor charge (4 hrs), the materials added up fast were much more than ever expected. For example: He charged $320 for two electrical valves. Our sprinkler system worked fine before except the leak, so then why do electrical valves need to be replaced? Why couldn't they use the old ones? Did they do it because they wanted to? I don't have any answers to these questions, because there was no communication from JB irrigation. I never had a chance to ask why, or decide if we wanted these-- they just did it anyway. Why did they not come to the door to let us know that the materials were going to more than the labor? wish I knew. We will not use their services again, nor can we recommend them. The work was probably fine, although in my opinion, the prices seem high. No communication combined with no estimate is a deal breaker. Also want to note that we had asked for a phone call before arrival, and never received this. The guy said he was never told to call, but it was printed at top of the invoice with my number.
