Our family has used J&T Automotive for nearly 20 years.  This family-owned enterprise is very service-oriented, and exceptionally trust-worthy.  They often explain why you should NOT do something to your vehicle (e.g., suggesting a more cost-effective approach considering your plans for the vehicle). They are very honest and committed to long-term relationships with their loyal following of customers.  Zack, Soto and Sophia and the entire crew at J&T have been a very well-respected and trusted fixture in our neighborhood for decades.  We highly recommend them!

They initially did a repair, and we had to bring the car back and they did not charge us for the second visit.

I have used them many times before and I would not trust anyone else to work on my car. He is very honest, trustworthy, informative, very good at communicating everything he is going to do, reasonably priced and professional. He always does a thorough job but does not do things that are not necessary. I would highly recommend them for any automotive needs.

We're very happy with them. It only took a few days to do, and we didn't have to take the car back.

First they drove the car with me and made sure they understood the problem. After diagnosis they determined it was actually a previous mistake by another service location that caused the problem, they replaced the faulty part (bushings)and after a free tire rotation the problem was solved. The manager then kept the truck one more day just to make sure there wasn't something else they missed. Very thorough, good prices and very professional.

They're very honest. The price they charge is reasonable. Overall they provided me a good service.

Couldn't be happier. Zack (the owner) treated me very well, and the work was finished very quickly. About a week after the service was performed I started hearing a very faint and quot;knockand quot; every time I turned a hard corner. Of course, my wife couldn't hear it, so I started wondering if I was making it up. I decided to take the car back anyway, and I'm glad I did. Zack took me seriously (WOW!) and went to work trying to find the source of the problem. It turned out to be a manufacturer's defect in one of the strut mounts, so they replaced it and re-aligned the car for free. This was something that could easily have been dismissed by another mechanic, but Zack took ownership of the problem and make sure that it was fixed. Who could ask for anything more?! I will definitely be going back!

Do call J and T. Not only are they very professional, but excellent auto service repair. Family oriented, family owned and been in busy for a long time in the same location.

My car is almost seven (7) years old with only 37,274 miles. Jand T can not follow a maintenance schedule for my car based only on mileage but rather on the age of the car. They beautifully maintained this and my last car so well that my last car was still going strong at 11 years of age. I think this kind of care is what happens when a shop really knows the customers and their cars. I took the car in today because an oil change was due and with the heat wave we have been having I also mentioned checking out the air conditioning. I mentioned that occasionally the battery was turning over more than a few times.
I have peace of mind regarding the condition of my car because I only have the car serviced at Jand T. I have been a customer there for more than 10 years. Many, in fact, most of the customers I meet when I go into Jand T are also long time customers and I think that is a testimony to the fine reputation of the shop.

The serpentine belt broke while driving on the freeway on a Saturday afternoon. I chose Jand T because of location and good reviews on 3 different consumer websites, including Angie's List, but I had never been there before. Zack was very courteous and they provide complimentary shuttle service to and from their location. I asked for an oil change while he was at it since it was just about due for one at the time. After examining my car Zack called me to explain what needed to be done and the cost, and offered to show me the part that needed to be replaced. I gave him the go ahead and made arrangements to pick it up the following morning, although it was ready that afternoon. When I arrived the following morning, Zack explained in detail what was done, why, and that it is important to bring your vehicle to the same shop for all repairs and maintenance so that potential issues can be avoided. I felt assured that although it was an expensive repair, I had come to the right place. Zack actually reduced the price to a figure lower than what he quoted me. I noticed that the oil change was not listed on the invoice so I assumed he had just forgotten about it so I didn't think anything of it. But when I got in my car I noticed the upper left window sticker indicating that he had, in fact, changed the oil-- he just didn't charge me for it! My car runs like a top and I couldn't be more pleased. It was worth every penny to be able to trust that I was not being taken, and that the job was being done right. Zack is now officially my new mechanic.

Two or three months later I went in for an inspection sticker somewhere else and that mechanic pointed out I had an oil leak. I took it back to J&T and he said no problem, they would fix it. I assumed after the second time it would have been fixed but five or six months later I was out of town and had to use another mechanic. This mechanic explained the same thing, I had a gasket leak. I explained I had it replaced twice already by J&T. He then explained to me that it appeared they had pried the gasket cover up causing the lip to bend and now the gasket does not fit correctly. I went back to J&T and requested a refund which he refused to give me. He said that I should have came back to him to fix it. I was out of town when this happened so it would have been impossible, plus the spark plugs had been damaged from the gasket leak. He still refuses to do anything about it. I even sent a letter to the president but have yet to get a reply.

I was thrilled with the honesty and integrity of Jand T. Zack was great and they have made a long-term customer out of me because I know they are trustworthy. I've never known any auto shop that would take full responsibility for something that was repaired a year before! I can't say enough good things about Jand T!

Overall Jand T Automotive provides excellent service. I have been using the for four years now for my out of warranty vehicles and they do excellent work. I have never had a problem that they did not immediately try to resolve.

Everything is always done right the first time. I think the very first time we used Jand T was to have them diagnose an electrical problem in a vehicle that we wanted to sell. We took the truck to ten or eleven different mechanics, who all took our money, and most assured us that they KNEW the problem was solved. Wrong! We messed around with this truck for months and months. Then we happened to be talking to a neighbor about this problem and she recommended Jand T - that Jand T had diagnosed something in one of their vehicles that no one else could. We immediately took the truck to Jand T, got it back and within two days we were able to put the truck up for sale and be done with it.

In the 8 years that I have owned my current truck, they've directed me to a tow service when I had a flat very far from their location, lamented the labor costs associated with cleaning a particular valve that caused the check engine light to come on, and provided some doughnuts early on a Saturday morning.
