We wanted tile in the kitchen and bath, carpet in the bedrooms, and laminate flooring throughout the rest of the house.  We did our homework by contacting two big box stores and three carpet stores to provide us with samples and prices.  Jack's Carpet's price was not the lowest price, but the courtesy and professionalism of salesman Rob and manager Jonathan won the day for Jack's Carpet.  They spent the time necessary to help us select just the right quality materials and stay within our budget,  They answered questions and concerns promptly and accurately.  Installation went smoothly and on time.  They even worked with us after the installation was complete to resolve minor issues.  I would highly recommend this Jack's Carpet store and Rob and Jonathan to anyone seeking new flooring.

This process from the beginning went wrong because of the salesman in this particular store.  He only wanted the sale and did not follow through with promises made and showed unconcern that I was not happy.

Our installation was scheduled to start on Wednesday 7/20/11 with ceramic tile going first.  Day 1 was a success and the installer did a good job.  Thursday 7/21 started with the laminate flooring which is where everything started going down hill.  We were never originally told that the laminate would take 3 days but we went with the flow at the time.  We allowed the laminate installer to work until 8PM on Thursday, 6PM on Friday and then he came back again on Saturday until 6PM.   On Friday 7/22 the laminate guy was able pick up the carpet job for our house as well even though he wasn’t finished with the laminate.  So on Friday, he laid carpet in the two back bedrooms which took time away from him working on the laminate.  So we were now into day 3 of the flooring and the only thing completely finished in the house was the ceramic tile.  They also ran short on carpet in order to complete the master bedroom (he over cut the back 2 bedrooms which is why he ran short, I have lots of excess carpet in my garage). On Saturday 7/23 he came back to supposedly finish carpet and laminate.  They informed us that the carpet had to be ordered again so the master bedroom still wouldn’t be completed!   On Monday 7/25 we called our sales rep  to let him know the transition pieces were coming up off the laminate flooring and we wanted to know the status of the carpet arriving so our order could be completed.  Our sales rep said he would call us back (my husband called about 10AM) and by 4PM my husband had to call him back to find out what the status was.  We were told that he wouldn’t have a date for the carpet until Tuesday 7/26 but he would call us back on Tuesday (never got a call).   Someone was sent to our house on Wednesday to fix the transition pieces and to re-stretch the carpet in the back 2 bedrooms (they were able to remove 2 1/2 additional inches from each room).  Our original transition pieces were installed with white caulk which they removed all the caulking and installed the pieces with liquid nail. Friday 7/29 and my house still isn’t complete!  We were suppose to have our carpet installed today in the master bedroom but a rain storm this morning delayed all installations by 3 hours.  At 1:30PM we called to find out this information ourselves!!  Since I can’t give up another Saturday to Jack’s Carpet, it’s been scheduled for Monday 8/1.  On Monday 8/1, when we called at 10AM to find out where the installer was, we were told they couldn't find our paperwork!  Our house is now completed BUT NO ONE FROM JACK'S CARPET WILL ACKNOWLEDGE THEY DID ANYTHING WRONG!
