Owner picked up my table to refinish. When he returned it I was very pleased because the table looked just beautiful. However, very soon after we started using it spots started appearing, specifically small uniformly sized circular spots which I finally figured out were from a rubber footed trivet I used to put pots and pans on. After numerous calls and trips to his shop he finally picked up my table to re-finish.
When the table was returned it again looked beautiful. I promised myself to use extreme caution with the table from then on. I used a large trivet with felt feet to put all my pots and pans on, but soon I noticed spots of a uniform size and shape as the felt covered feet of the trivet. The trivet with felt on the feet even left spots!
The finish J & G put on my table is complete trash. The owner doesn't know the first thing about furniture refinishing. $500 down the drain. Live and learn!!! I learned to use Angie's list from now on.
