They said they would be here at 7a.m. and they were here on time, Shawn was very polite, meticulous, and thorough. Everything was left as it was, clean. He showed us how to install app, and operate it. He was , fastidious and gracias

These folks were very responsive & professional. Told us when they’d be at our place to review & quote. They were there promptly. After accepting their proposal, they told us when they’d be there to do the work & they were there when they said they’d be. The quality of their workmanship was excellent & their cleanup afterwards was as well. Definitely recommend them.

The installers were polite and courteous. The lead explained everything. They tested and carried away all packing. I would use again in a heartbeat.

Guys were punctual. They draped the floors and countertops and cleaned up their mess. Small problem was with the sheetrock noted upon completing the job. We compromised. I assumed I was getting a bronze trim; it turned out to be white. Wasn't told about the color choices during the sales pitch.

Smooth process from estimate to repair. Loved chatting with the salesman, and the 2 guys they sent to do the work were clean, polite, efficient.

Went great. Dan was punctual with the appointment, and the guy that did the installation was timely, kept the work area clean, and explained everything when he was through.

The initial install was fine (no issues).
In February 2014, one of the zippers on my Attic Tent malfunctioned and came off the zipper track. I tried to fix the issue but was unsuccessful. I called Innovative Skylights and Attics and asked to speak with Dan Marshall. Carol informed me she could help and advised me I needed to call Attic Tent because this was not their issue (it was a manufacturers issue). I called Attic Tent and they agreed to replace the Attic Tent.
I asked Carol at Innovative Skylights & Attics if they would install a replacement Attic Tent at no cost. Carol spoke to Dan and advised me the cost would be $150 to install a replacement Attic Tent. I questioned the cost and she spoke to Dan again and he agreed to install a replacement Attic Tent for $100. They charged me $75 to install the original Attic Tent. For this company to suggest charging me more than double what I initially paid for the install is ridiculous. There was a lack of professionalism, concern and customer service on the part of Innovative Skylights and Attics. I will never use this company again.

I am really pleased to recommend Dan Marshall and his Innovation Skylight and Attic Company. This job was professional from start to finish. My wife is especially pleased by this new skylight that is directly above her bathtub. It is now brighter, better insulated with clear glass that is cleaner than the old plastic dome skylight. Our old house needed replacement windows, including this builder grade plastic bubble dome skylight. A friend told me "builder's grade" is just a polite way of saying "cheap crap". I chose Innovative Skylights for three reasons. First, different window company salesmen advised me to get a skylight expert, second and third both Angie's List and the BBB rated Innovations highly with Angie's List giving details I could relate to. Our 16yr old builders grade domed skylight really needed replacement and was about to cost us a lot because it was starting to leak around the edges condensation already made the lower corners rot. The original installation must have ben made in a hurry since roof tile edges could be seen from inside. Also the old dome was not insulated so there was a cold downdraft when it was cold outside. Finally the plastic was discolored by age. I understand these have a 5 year expected life - fortunately I think my 16 yr old plastic dome lasted longer since it was not in direct sun all day. The Innovation workman showed up on time, formally introduced himself and set about protecting the tub with a special panel board and the bathroom interior with protective drop cloths. Our roof is very steep so another worker arrived and together they prepared the roof with safety boards. they carefully removed roof tiles and the old skylight, then they prepared the opening with a double framed 2x6 box they called a curb. They did an excellent job with the rainproof flashing and they matched the roof tiles exactly with new pieces. This last of many details was thanks to Dan Marshall who planned out the job during his earlier visit when he gave me his estimate. Before they left the workman cleaned up both outside and inside. It looked like the new bright skylight was always there. Its been two weeks now and my wife and I are very happy with this new skylight that brightens our every morning and gives my wife insulated comfort when she takes her bath. I would strongly recommend this company and its hard workers to anyone who needs a replacement skylight and.to consider installing new ones or at least one of their sun dome lights.

I originally found this Innovation company thanks to their A ratings on Angie's list. I decided to call them for both this attic work and also for replacing our old, leaking plastic bubble skylight. I'll say more about the skylight in a separate review. Dan Moore, the owner came to our home and made a very detailed inspection inside, outside and especially up in the attic. He patiently described his findings and recommended alternatives. Unfortunately our home does not have sufficient air coming into the attic from below the eaves and soffits to circulate out the extremely hot summer air that builds up under our roof. The result is that the house is very uncomfortable in the summer, our two air conditioners run constantly and our electric bills go through the roof (even if the hot air doesn't). The Innovation company's installer arrived on-time, identified himself, and diligently completed his work even though it was so cold and windy that I called earlier that morning to ask if they wanted to cancel. The work included installing a solar powered exhaust fan, six roof air intakes, an insulated tent cover for the attic access ladder and plugging numerous holes between the outer walls and roofing tiles. Now that the work is done it looks great. By "great" I mean that its hard to tell that the air intakes and solar fan on the roof were not originally there all along. They matched the color of our roofing tile and strategically mounted the intakes to keep the air conditioning systems well ventilated with outside air mainly from the shaded parts of the roof during the afternoon sun. They also plugged the "hotel entrances" where little critters managed to get into the attic. We've been having problems with little visitors (squirrels, field mice and worse) ever since we bought this 1998 house 4 years ago. The many mouse traps and poison pellets in the attic are testament to the ongoing battle. Now, thanks to Dan and his crew, its all silent on the attic front. We look forward to a cooler more comfortable summer and our daughter will be able to sleep better without the sound of little dancing feet above her in the attic. . For building, repairing or replacing things in our home, I learned its important to do the research to find the best products but also to find the best professionals to do the work. The most expensive is not necessarily the best and the cheap can turn out to be very expensive.

After the initial call to the after hours phone which never got back to the person in the office, everything went as planned and the service was Excellent.

Really disappointing service. I have tried to contact them over the course of a week, via e-mail and via telephone. I've left voicemails, and messages with their answering service, and have not heard a single response. Clearly they're not interested in actually doing any business. Since they are the only Velux Authorized Installer here in Houston, I'm going to contact Velux and ask them if they can recommend somebody else.

The guy who came was very good.  He was very personable.  He brought the man that he brought with him to help do the actual work.  They did everything in one day.  They were both very respectful and seemed to be knowledgeable.  They worked well together.  I did not feel at all uncomfortable with them being in my house.  Whenever he receives my message, he is very prompt to call me back.  Our communication was pretty good.  He came exactly when he said he is going to come.  He finished when he said he is going to finish.  It was a good experience.  I think their service was fairly priced.

Called Innovative to talk to someone about getting some Solar Tubes put in.  Spoke to a gentleman who said he would have a consultant call me back to discuss.  It has been a month and I haven't heard anything yet.

I had an appointment set for today to get an estimate on 3 10" sun tunnels which I wanted installed in two hallways and a bathroom. I was told that Dan would be at my house between 11:00 and 1:00, so I took the day off work and waited for him. At 1:10 pm, there no one had shown up or even called. I then called to find out whether he was on his way, and when to expect him. The woman who answered the phone let me know that she'd check on it and call me back. Twenty-five minutes later, I still had not heard back from her and there was still no sign of Dan. I called AGAIN. This time, she unapologetically said, "I spoke with Dan and he's running very behind schedule. He wants to know if there is another day that would work instead." Informed her that since no one had called to let me know he was running behind schedule and I had unnecessarily waited around for him for hours, we would be using another company that is more reliable. Innovative Skylights and Attics is EXTREMELY unprofessional and I'm glad I found that out before I made the mistake of hiring them to do work on my home. What a waste of time.

The owner of the company arrived on time to discuss installation of a sun tunnel for our kitchen upgrade.  He evaluated our lighting and made recomendations based on our needs. He was able to answer all our questions about the product, its efficiency and the install. We set up the install before he left that day.  The installer arrived on time and finished the install  professionaly and efficiently .  He also installed a light kit in the tunnel for use at night.  We really enjoy the natural light the tunnel provides. We would use thier services and products again and do recommend them for any looking to add natural lighting.

Innovative is friendy and professional.  The estimate was received when scheduled and the work was done as scheduled.  The skylights look great, any mess created during the removal and installation was cleaned up. The installation was efficient and went very well.
Overall I am pleased with the work.  The new skylights do filter the sunlight much better, however the rooms with the skylights still get quite warm.  I had hoped for better heat dissapation, like double paned windows.  They were more expensive than I expected, but Innovative still gets an A grade from me.

Dan came out and gave us a reasonable quote for a new skylight with a crank and screen. A week later the skylight was installed. The process went smoothly and we are very pleased with the work done.
