I am so impressed with these guys. I have a home in Cherryhurst, for which this company did some foundation work back in 2008. After the drought in 2012 (or whenever that was) my home shifted, resulting in some cracks in the walls. I called Hy-Tech to see if I needed more work done on my foundation -- they could have easily told me "yes" and I'd have used them -- but they said, "No, this home is rock solid; movement has been negligible." Eight months later, I thought I noticed an area dipping down and wanted to make sure it was shored up before I had my walls floated and painted. The owner came out -- new owner, by the way, and he promoted that last guy (the super-honest one) to general manager -- and he said the same thing: "This house looks great. You don't need any work done." In this day and age, that is so refreshing. The new owner is Cullen Dieringer, and his cell is 713.301.1966. His office number is 713.686.1733. You can't put a price on this type of integrity. Big thumbs-up in my book!

Had done repair work 20 years ago, therefor Hytech readjusted a couple of the original piers and added 4 new ones. The staff was courteous, on time, professional and totally put everything back to as close to as it was when they got there. Having a foundation repaired is messy work and really tears up a yard, etc. When I got home after work was completed I was pleasantly suprised to see that they had repaired all that they did.
I chose this company over two other estimates that were basically in the same ballpark however I got the impression from both of them that they might and quot;findand quot; something else that needed to be done once they got into the project. They both kept emphasizing that fact and that it would cost more if that was the case. Did not trust either.
I would highly recommend this foundatioin repair company.

My home experienced all the symptoms of foundation settlement from the recent drought we had last summer. First I started noticing small cracks in the front porch concrete. Then the interior walls began cracking in all directions, vertically, horizontally and diagonally. The crown molding and wood flooring started developing gaps where they connect. My doors started sticking and uneven gaps developed at the top of the doors. At first I told myself that this was temporary and once it started to rain again that these problems would correct themselves but boy was I WRONG! All I could see were dollar signs passing before my eyes every time I looked at my home. But I knew if I were to save my investment that I was going to need foundation repair. I had remembered listening to the owner of HY-TECH Foundation Repair being interviewed on the radio prior to my problems and said that I would consider using him if I ever needed foundation services. So I called HY-TECH and another foundation repair company to my home for an estimate. HY-TECH was not the lowest bid but their design suggestion to correct my problems seem much more logical to me and I choose them to do the job.

I was told it would take approximately 5 working days to complete the foundation repair. On the first day they arrived on time in a HY-TECH company truck and the crew went right to work. I was scheduled to have 35 piers to be placed around my home. This just about covered the entire perimeter of my home. I think there was only 30 feet that did not require piers. What amazed me was that all the holes were hand dug by these guys. Now that hard work for the holes had to be deep enough for a man to get down into and up under your homes grade beam. Also, the front porch concrete had to be jacked hammered in several locations to allow access to the grade beam. The hole size needed for a man to get into was only 2 feet square and this helped to minimize the concrete damage to the porch.

HY-TECH’s foreman (Sam) and I got along real well. He was responsive to me anytime I had a question or concern. Two days out of the first 5 were rain outs. Wouldn't’t you know it, the lack of rain caused my problem and too much kept it from being repaired as scheduled? I took vacation time off for the whole week because someone had to be present to allow access to the interior of the home for measurements. The first rain out day I was informed by HY-TECH’s office staff of the non-work day. But they did not call me on the second day and I could have gone back to work and saved a day of vacation if I had been notified.

Over all I was very pleased with the quality of work performed by HY-TECH’s crew. They left the condition of my yard better than before their arrival. My elevation had dropped a maximum of 3” and after the adjustments my problems began to correct themselves. My wall cracks stop growing and I will still need sheetrock repair but there has not been any additional damage as of date. My crown molding and wood floor gaps closed back up and I do not have an uneven or sticking door in my whole house. It cost me dollars but in return I feel HY-TECH returned my investment back to me and backs it with a lifetime transferable warranty. Yep, I’m a happy camper once again!

If I had anything negative to say it would be how the office staff handled the closing paperwork. HY-TECH was paid infill on the day of completion and I also fulfilled the terms of the contract by providing the required hydrostatic water leak test. I requested on several occasions by way of emails, telephone calls and certified mail letter requesting acknowledgement of this. I finally received it but should have not had to go through all the trouble.

I had used another contractor 10-15 years ago; they are no longer in business . HyTech took over their accounts, but for reasons unknown they subsequently abondoned mine and would not return calls. They did unltimatleey resolve the issues with the other company's acocunts, but it took MANY MONTHS TO SCHEDULE the work. The office staff is ot very responsive.
The work was finally done expeditiously, but I was not impressed by the condition in whicfh they left my property. Holes were dug on my porch which was not unexpected, but they did not repair the concrete completely or correctly....they left two large holes at my front door. This is a liability for me and must be repaired at my expense, but I have to wait for the concrete they did install fully cures.
I was also very disappointed that my contact person nor anyone else with the company Has ever followed up to see whether or not I was wsatisfied with the work. Since their workers did not have good English communications skills, I had no ability to communicate with the on site personnel,

Examination and explanation of work to be done was very clear, and work began and ended on schedule. Hy-tech's cost is high--I believe you can get an inferior leveling job done by others--but the quality of the work is exceptional and worth the price. Curtis Miller handled the job with ease and professionalism, and the work crew left the house in good order.

The sales person for the company told me that they would fix my foundation so that it would be fixed right the first time and it would not need to be done ever again with the right maintenance. They were priced on the high side considering the other bids I got but they promised to do it right. After they started the job they decided that they wanted even more money to do the job and refused to continue until I agreed to pay them an extra $1000. The salesperson came out and said that he was sorry that he couldn't honor his word because his boss would kill him and he tried to "make me a deal". I had no choice at this point so I paid the extra fee and the sales person swore to me that all rotted wood under the house was replaced and that the job was done right. A month later we added a new front porch and when we removed the old steps under the house the wood seals that support the foundation are all rotten. The company refused to do anything about it.

Curtis Miller came out to give us an estimate. He was friendly and very professional. He used modern laser levels to exactly calculate the change in dip of our house. He also recommended to add 2 beams beneath our house (same as another contractor) because the distance between beams was pretty large. Once the crew came out to do the work, they showed up on time, were friendly, and cleaned up all left over debris, as well as showed and explained all the work they did.

I have a completely level home now. It had gotten so bad my interior doors would not even close properly. Now everything closes and the floors are level. They did the job in a timely fashion. They gave me a one year guarantee. The price was very competitive for the amount a work involved in a project like this.

They did a wonderful job! I got 3 bids from companies that I checked out on the internet and the Better Business Bureau. There aren't that many people who work on pier and beam foundations any more. Their work plan made perfect sense, and it was $400 less than the other bid I got. (The third company I talked to said I didn't need any work done -- I found out later that they are phasing out pier and beam work.) Hy-Tech exactly what they said they would do, and fixed rolls in the floor that multiple companies told me were something I had to live with. They sunk more piers to 8' than originally estimated that turned out to be needed, at no extra cost. The yard looks great, the floor inside is great, nothing broke or fell off the wall (the sheetrock is cracked in several places, and one piece of trim was bent, but the floor is flat and feels like a rock). All the staff who worked on the house were polite and knowledgeable. Can you tell I'm thrilled? I'm am delighted with Hy-Tech's work.
