ANGIE LIST MEMBERS: MAKE sure you get several estimates before having your trees trimmed!
The difference in pricing can be incredible!!
My real issue with the "professionalism" matter comes with the estimate, the ultimate contract, and them playing games with the Angie's List coupon. The first guy out to my house gave me the verbal quote and said I would get an email from the office with the contract. (I had told them I was an Angie's List customer when I first called.) He almost left without my email info so I had to stop him and give it to him. I called the office to ask about the 10% off coupon offered on Angie's List. The woman I spoke with said the price quoted already counted that in, that the price was originally $1100 but with 10% off it was $1000. She said I would see the "Angie's List" noted on the initial quote I was given by the first guy out. Well, he didn't give me a written quote, or anything written at all Also, the math clearly doesn't work, since if the original price was $1100, after 10% reduction it would be $990. Also, there is no way the guy giving me the quote did any math since he so quickly just threw out a grabbed-from-the-air number - not a problem in itself, but not supportive of the office personnel's argument. So what I perceived as her game-playing to get out of giving me the discount bothered me, much more so than the loss of $100 (or $110) dollars.
All in all the work was was fine and I hate to give a negative review, but I felt I overpaid for merely adequate services and the behavior of the office staff really seemed unprofessional.
"As member stated in the beginning, (a good offer, but I still should have just waited. That's my fault.). Houston Tree Team was aware that member was an Angie's List member, since the first call she did. The estimator was given the same information for his appointment and provided her a 10% discount on her proposal. A 90 day contract was prepared before the service was started and yes the weather did take an effect. This was an all day project with a crew of five members and was professionally completed. As member stated once again at the end, "All in all the work was was fine and I hate to give a negative review, but I felt I overpaid for merely adequate services and the behavior of the office staff really seemed unprofessional.""
timely upon contact for estimate, scheduling service, performing service and all the work was completed quickly in one morning.
very pleased with this company. have already made recommendations to others based on my experience and will continue to do so.
