Houston Tree Team

The team appeared early on the scheduled day and worked all day into the evening removing a large old water oak infected with hypoxylon grinding the stop and cleaning up.. Work was professional and efficient. Their estimate was well below that of the others I contacted.

They were able to come by the same day we called and Jorge gave us a good estimate for all the work that needed to be done. He also gave us the liability insurance information for the workers which is nice to have in case something goes wrong. They started the work on the day we called and had to come back a second day to finish the job which is to be expected because of the amount of work. They showed up on time, finished the work properly and cleaned up after themselves. We will definitely use them again.

They have not finished the job. They were supposed to come and fertilize one of the trees and haven't. They also haven't charged me either. They did good otherwise. I would probably not use them again.

Great

Houston tree team came out and gave us a quote to remove a large diseased red oak and a hackberry tree as well as grinding several stumps. They gave us a great quote and did the work the next day. They did a quick and very clean job on the tree and stump removal and built a flower bed around the live oak we had them plant. The cost was reasonable and the work was great, and they cleaned all of the sawdust up so you could barely tell they had been here. I would use them again if I needed additional services.

It went very well. They replied with ALL OF MY REQUESTS. I asked them for specific requests on certain trees in my backyard and they complied. I was also impressed that they were already loaded up in their vehicles and one of their men returned to my fence and cut some small trees. They noticed I was looking at the trees and returned to make sure everything was right. I WILL USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. JORGE (Supervisor) was a pleasure to work with.

The Houston Tree Team was recommended to me by neighbors.  I called on Sunday afternoon and spoke with Denise.  Jorge came to give me the estimate on Monday evening.  I was very impressed with his knowledge of the trees and other plant life.  I was pleasantly surprised at the estimate, expecting it to be much higher.  The team arrived as scheduled on Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. and they are cleaning up as I write this review at 5:30 p.m.  WHAT A DIFFERENCE!  I am extremely pleased!  The team of 5 plus a supervisor, (Ricky) worked quickly. They were very polite and respectful.  All the debris has been cleared away and they even used a leaf blower on the driveway and sidewalks.  Jorge has stopped by a couple of times today to check on the progress and made sure I was happy.  I gladly wrote the check with a tip for the team included! 

It went just okay.  I felt that I paid for arborist-level services but got the same service I could have gotten if I called one of the guys who's always leaving cards on my door. The first person who came to my house was polite and seemed professional.  I told him I absolutely needed on tree trimmed for safety reasons but wanted to price additional work.  He told me they could do all the work for $1000 (no calculations, just tossed the number out.)  I said I would wait on the rest, then. He said they could take payment installments (a good offer, but I still should have just waited. That's my fault.)  I asked if they could get to the unsafe tree very soon even if the others had to wait. He said he would send a crew out that afternoon. They never came, though earlier weather may have set them back.  They came later in the week and did all the work.   They did an adequate job but left without a word and left some of their supplies in my backyard. (gas can, some other empty liquid bucket.)  They cleaned up most of the tree trash well, though.  
My real issue with the "professionalism" matter comes with the estimate, the ultimate contract, and them playing games with the Angie's List coupon.  The first guy out to my house gave me the verbal quote and said I would get an email from the office with the contract. (I had told them I was an Angie's List customer when I first called.)  He almost left without my email info so I had to stop him and give it to him.  I called the office to ask about the 10% off coupon offered on Angie's List.  The woman I spoke with said the price quoted already counted that in, that the price was originally $1100 but with 10% off it was $1000.   She said I would see the "Angie's List" noted on the initial quote I was given by the first guy out. Well, he didn't give me a written quote, or anything written at all  Also, the math clearly doesn't work, since if the original price was $1100, after 10% reduction it would be $990.  Also, there is no way the guy giving me the quote did any math since he so quickly just threw out a grabbed-from-the-air number - not a problem in itself, but not supportive of the office personnel's argument.  So what I perceived as her game-playing to get out of giving me the discount bothered me, much more so than the loss of $100 (or $110) dollars. 
All in all the work was was fine and I hate to give a negative review, but I felt I overpaid for merely adequate services and the behavior of the office staff really seemed unprofessional.  

It looks great, they did a great job. They cleaned everything up wonderfully. They had previously removed a mulberry tree completely for me. The crew was great, there was 3 people who came out. I have referred them to others already.

Had a little mess up in paper work and they never showed.  So I called and they came out almost immediately and got the job done in no time.  I was very impressed.  We gave the men a little extra when they where done, hope they got a cold beer or two.  Nice guys and fast. Cleaned it all up like the trees where never even there.  Thanks.

They were real good.  They were prompt in getting out to give an estimate and the amount they charged was the same as the estimate.  The work was done on schedule in a timely fashion and they cleaned up well after themselves.  Overall, I’m pleased with their service.  The quality of their work really stuck out to me.

Their service went fine. They went above and beyond taking care of that. They came ahead of when they were expected, they told me a different day and then they were able to move it up to an earlier date, which was very helpful. They were very quick and efficient. They did offer an additional service. They noticed something that we hadn't noticed where a tree was touching the roof and they offered to take care of that in a package deal and it was still very affordable so we took them up on it.

We were referred to this Co. by a friend who highly rates Angie's List.  The Salesman that came to us was prompt, dressed & acted professionally & immediately gave us a thoughtful written estimate.  He told us that it would take 3 weeks before the Team could work us into their schedule.  Because of his professional attitude and the price we agreed to wait.  The Team arrived on time on the correct day & immediately got to work.  It took them about 4 hours to remove this huge tree & clean up all debris. 

They were phenomenal to work with overall! They were prompt, courteous, and professional. They did a great job.

I called on a Friday morning to see if I could get an estimate and Jorge showed up at 12:30 that same day.  We walked around and talked about what needed to be done.  He gave me an estimate on the spot of $800 (before taxes).  He also stated that as part of his normal service they would clean out all my gutters.  I was thrilled at the price, as I already had estimates ranging from $1400 to $2600.  I was also excited about my gutters, as I live in a 2 story house and they don't get cleaned enough.  Jorge said they could do the work the following Friday and I agreed.  I got a call from Denise the next week confirming and she said they'd be there between 8:30 and 9:00.  They showed up at 9:20 (pretty darn good!) and I showed them what needed to be done.  They immediately got to work and by 10:00 the "cutter" was at the top of the dead pine starting to take it down.  They were completely finished by 1:00.  They never stopped moving and did an excellent job of being careful about my garage and my other plants.  They did a fantastic clean up, and after they left you wouldn't have know they were there.  There were only 2 minor things:  they didn't clean out my gutters and Jorge never ever showed up to check on things or talk to me.  I was going to mention the gutters to the crew, but I was in the front yard with them and realized that they didn't have any ladders so I wasn't sure they knew they were supposed to.  I decided to let it go.  And I didn't really need to talk to Jorge (although I would have asked him about the gutters), so it wasn't that big of a deal that he never came back, I just thought it was odd.  But they were great and I am definitely going to use them again.  I have several trees that need to be cleaned up and they will be doing the work.  Very efficient, very hard working, very good at their job.

George was excellent! They were here for an hour and half. They cleaned up very well afterwards, were efficient, and were very respectful.  I was very impressed with their service and even offered to be a reference for them!  I can't say enough good things about them. I am planning to call them for more work in the future.
