It was chaotic. It just took a long time to get this done. Instead of one hour, it took about three hours to finally get a dog and finally get everything attached and put in the car. It was just kind of slow in the way they worked. They worked well, but not real educated as they could've been. I think it's a pretty good place.

We have a friend that volunteers there and she kind of found the dog for us. She found the dog that was in the parameters of what we were looking for. She identified the dog so we went to look at it and didn't have a lot of exposure with the organization. It was my birthday present. We didn't really shop around. We love the dog. The person behind the counter was pleasant and acceptable to deal with when we paid for the dog.

I grew up with my dad always picking up stray animals. That's close to my heart. My kids and I are just animal lovers. Strays need rescued the most.
