Mark and team were always on time, and completed the project quickly and solidly. He constantly asked if we had any questions, and would always give us a chance to offer input before moving to the next step. We knew that we wanted the front walkway replaced, but didn't have any idea for the new design. Mark gave multiple amazing suggestions, and we're thrilled with the layout that he installed. Mark Reyna and his team did a great job replacing the driveway and repairing a tiled patio. They were able to match the tile and so the patio looks good as new. The driveway installation was fairly painless and looks very good. Would highly recommend.

I hired Houston Hardscape after interviewing several concrete companies. Price was a big consideration for us since this was the first phase of a large project and I thought his prices were reasonable. His crew was excellent and Mark was on site daily. He was very accommodating, patient with my many questions, and very responsive and easy to work with. It was an extensive project and he made it as stress-free as possible by giving me daily updates and checking to see if I had any questions. He helped with the design before and during the process. His crew worked carefully around my landscaping and mature tree roots and did not rush the work. They finished ahead of schedule despite some weather delays and left the site clean and even restored some sod areas which was above and beyond the scope of the work which I really appreciated.
Customer service was top-notch before, during, and even AFTER the project was completed. We have an electric gate that had to be disconnected from power while the project was underway. Mark came out twice after the project was done to provide information to my electrician when we were restoring power to the gate. This really went above and beyond for customer service. I am very picky and can say I am completely satisfied with the quality and appearance of the work. I recommend Mark and Houston Hardscape without reservation and intend to use them for the remainder of our project.

Mark Reyna was super fast, very friendly and professional, and did a fantastic job on our driveway. Pricing is toward the above average side, but totally worth it. We're very happy with the result, and will definitely hire Mark again for other work if needed.
We had a sinkhole developing under our concrete slab driveway that was beginning to collapse under the cars. Mark went the extra step to dig out the hole down to look for the source of the problem - turned out we had a small break in the sewer main (on our property). Mark found us a plumber who was able to repair the main within 24 hours, keeping the whole project on time: three days to take out an old driveway, find the problem, repair it, and get the new gravel drive in place. Beautiful work, will last for years, we're very happy!

Mark was fantastic to work with and we will not hesitate to call him again on any other projects. He was very responsive, planned his work well and we could not have been happier with how up to date he kept us during the whole project. He finished within the schedule that he set and his crew did a great job of being courteous to our neighbors even though they had to work in close proximity to other townhomes in our neighborhood. We were highly impressed with how well his job was managed and how they cleaned up while they were working. The end product was better than we hoped for and we could not be happier.

Old driveway was removed in just two days. Houston received a lot of rain in the following days, so installing the new driveway took much longer than expected, but we we happy to wait for dry days when pouring concrete! Mark Reyna and his crew were very professional and exceptionally hard working. We are very satisfied with the final product.

I called three companies all on Angie's list, 2 answered one did not. Mark with Houston Hardscape called back and set an appointment for a couple of days. He actually called me and asked if he could come earlier as he had some time in his schedule and could work me in. I was available so agreed. He arrived on time and we discussed the job and all of the small extras that I wanted done. He told me I would have a bid by the end of the following day, which I got. Mark stayed in contact with me the entire time. On the day of the job was to begin he arrived as scheduled on time, requested if I had any questions and answer them timely and efficiently. During the job, I did have a couple of things that I wanted to add to the job and Mark agreed without changing the price; although they were small additions he stuck to his price and included them in the job. The job went exactly as planned with no issues and finished on time per Mark's agreed completion date. The yard was cleaned up and everything was left to my satisfaction. I would recommend Mark and his company Houston Hardscape to anyone having this kind of a job done. They were professional, courteous and did exactly what they contracted to do. Mark Reyna (and crew). is the most professional, respectful, reliable contractor I have ever worked with. His communication skills are beyond reproach. I told him that he should give 'contractor communication and client expectation' classes and I meant it. Every detail is discussed thoughtfully, every question answered thoroughly and clearly, every text returned with a phone call or text immediately. As each step of the job was complete, we did a walk through before proceeding, Mark worked with me and my schedule and the weather. If all contractors were like Mark and crew, people would build their own homes and enjoy the experience. From the first contact to the last detail of clean up, the job was done extremely professionally, with all the permits and planning require to do the job right. He took the time to listen and develop an installation that looks great, functions as intended and will last a very long time. He provided options, design ideas and recalculate costs as plans changed. Once plans were agreed to, he executed in a time manner to the exact specification requested, no excuses, changes or delays. The neighbors were so impressed with each days progress and attention to detail, Mark should have more neighborhood business this spring. Even the city inspector was happy at each step of the way.

Mark and his crew did great. The finished product looks excellent. Mark called frequently to see if I had questions. He kept me informed of, and stuck to, his schedule. His crew found a cut street light power line, and Mark made multiple calls to the power company to get that fixed rather than cover it back up. I know Mark's crew didn't cut the line because it was too far out of his work area, and the city's contractor had done work on a water line replacement right where the cut line was.

I received 3 quotes for concrete working and Houston Hardscape was the mid priced option but I decided to use Mark because he kept in contact with me and was extremely quick with both the home visit estimate and the quote (within an hour.)
He also waited patiently for the HOA approval which took weeks.
1 day job and everything was finished in approx 7 hours.
Would highly recommend and plan to use when we redo the driveway.

We only got through the bidding and planning stage with Mark and his company but his professionalism made me want to post a review. Mark takes great pains to get his job planned right, with attention to proper drainage, city code and materials. We ultimately did not act on Mark's bid, so I did not get to see his crew or his finished work, but based on his prep time I am sure it is excellent. He spent two months planning our driveway and patio, surveyed the slopes, and sketched a detailed plan of what he was going to do. He was always responsive and on time, in fact more so than I was as I missed a couple of our appointments. Ultimately we went with another contractor's plan and bid, but not out of any concern for quality--we wanted different materials and aesthetics that Mark was honest enough to let us know he did not think he could do for us economically. If we had decided to go with the concrete driveway with brick bands as Mark orginally planned and bid, I would have hired him. I'd definitely use him in the future for another job.
