Houston's Make it EZ Movers Inc

Overall it was a fair experience. I wanted professionals to move me instead of family members because I didn't want anything broken or mishandled. This is why I  contacted and joined Angie's List however I would have gotten as much professionalism as my family compared to the movers.  They were minimally fair at most. They took there lunch hour during the move ( I was not charged for the hour)
They wrapped mostly all furniture however my wall unit although wrapped was broken due to not securing the drawers.  One worker was verbally abusive and argumentative when I pointed out the drawers were disleveled and top of unit was torn apart. 

After about an half hour of trying to repair on my time they called the owner who told them to bring unit in for repair.  I was charged $342.00. $200 paid in advance (deposit) I paid the balance due per the owner (Chris over the phone) $142.00 minus (5%) Angie's coupon however, I was not given an invoice. I decided to pay by check so I would have a record.  I also wanted something stating that the unit was taken for repairs.  It was hand written on the back of their mapquest copy. After 2 days I called asking when unit would be repaired and returned spoke to owner (Claudia) who had no idea what I was talking about.  Had to call husband (Chris) who called several hours later stating unit was still on the truck however it would be repaired and returned about 6p. 

The unit was repaired and returned at approximate 9p. The same movers returned the unit.  It was stated at that time that there had been a error in calculated final cost and an additional $20 was due.  I did not feel obligated to pay it due to there own errors.

I would not rate this company as professional movers.  They are neighborhood movers. They did not wear uniforms, 2 workers swore the whole time due to furniture being heavy.  Just not a professional outfit.

My experience with Houston's Make it EZ Movers Inc Company was excellent.  They did a very good job.  They were very professional.  I loved the people in their team.  They were very cooperative and very friendly.  There were no damages; everything was okay.  I would use them in the future if required. 

Overall everything about the move was great.  The company was easy to work with and was available when we needed them (I called either 1 or 2 weeks ahead).  They arrived when they said they would and made quick work of hauling everything into their truck, including packing up some things we didn't get ready before they arrived.  Unloading and set up at the new place was equally efficient.  There was no damage to any of our furniture or belongings.  It was a 2-man crew, and both men were professional and polite.

The only problem I had was resolving a billing error.  We inadvertently overpaid for our move.  I learned of this when I received an invoice the next week.  I called and they said it indeed looked like we had overpaid.  They would research the transaction fully and a check would be cut to us in 1-2 weeks.  That was mid-June.  I didn't receive the check until mid-September after making at least 5 calls.  Each time they said we were owed a refund and I should receive it in 2-3 business days.  Each time we spoke, the company was very professional and polite.  They were just very slow in refunding our money.

I was very impressed that the company delivered used and new boxes to my home. All boxes were less than $1.00, even the extra large ones! After delivering 100 boxes, 12 rolls of packing tape, and 2 large rolls of packing paper, they picked up a dining set with china cabinet to deliver to a relative's home and also picked my the kitchen table and chairs to go to their consignment store. All of this included one trip charge and up to two hours of road time ($145). When my items sell at the consignment shop, I receive half of the total price. 

They also moved us two weeks later. This was no easy task as we had our own 4 bedroom home to move plus furniture and boxes from my father's estate that took up half the garage. They were punctual, professional (worked the entire 7-8 hours), respectful and friendly. My husband and I were extremely impressed with their work ethic.

The company is also extremely flexible. Because home closings often don't happen when originally scheduled, they are always willing to change your move date or time. Dealing with these movers was the least stressful part of selling our old home and buying a new one! When our new buyer's pod arrived hours early, they were able to find a way to accomodate the pod and still load their trucks. They are top notch! Even my realtor got their name because she was so impressed with their ability to deal effectively with change.

If I ever need movers again I will just make sure I talk to the male boss and not her... and I suggest you do the same!  I had a hard time accurately rating the company due to the drastic difference between the mess before and the actual moving process.

They were outstanding. They moved some stuff from storage to my daughter’s new apartment, and then they moved from one apartment to another in the same complex. They could not have done anything better. They probably moved things that weren’t even packed. They were fantastic, and we would rate them highly. We will use them again in the future if necessary.

Well, they were early, but politely waited outside in their truck until the agreed uon time since we were not ready for them yet. They worked very efficiently and took no breaks. They even re-relocated pieces after I changed my mind about the placement. "The best money I could have spent" stated my boyfriend because of the price and he was spared from having to do the moving!

Very professional, without damage to old or new house. I appreciate Herve hooking up the washer and dryer for me.

1st 2 times, the moves went very smoothly. They even made multiple stops to pick up furniture. Also, without supervision they delivered and set up the furniture in the assisted living apartment. The 3rd time went well also. They were able to fit everything into the storage unit which was already half filled. They did a great job and were very helpful.

I called with just a few days notice and they were able to schedule me for the time needed. Two quiet, hard-working men came about 45 minutes late, but that's my only complaint. I was worried that they wouldn't show up. Once they got here, they got right to work and quickly loaded the truck. They found our isolated lake house with no problems and unloaded everything very efficiently. It was raining but they carefully wrapped the furniture in pads. Nothing was damaged or broken. I was very pleased with their service.

The two men were friendly and organized. My special pieces of furniture were well packed in their truck. The move went fast, they worked quickly. I had several big heavy pieces- one that went upstairs and they knew the techniques to do the job. I had written the room I wanted the boxes in on the box and they put everything where it was marked. They were about an hour late but called to explain.

Everyone worked non-stop from 9:15 AM when they arrived, until 2:45 PM when the truck was completely unloaded at our new home. They did arrive a little late, but only by 15 minutes. Isidrio and Fernando were careful with our furniture wrapping them with blankets and plastic wrap. They knew what they were doing. They made use of dollies to take multiple boxes at a time which was efficient. Their communication lacked some, but the work was good. Charges worked out as follows: $50 for the truck, $75/hr for two movers, 7.5% added for stairs at one end of the move. It would have been 15% if stairs at both ends. ($50 + $75/hr x 5.5 hrs) x 1.075 = $497. I didn't argue over $3. Claudia Cantu was a pleasure to deal with over the phone when scheduling. Also, they will supply boxes at very reasonable rates and deliver them. They will buy back any unused boxes. We used all of ours. In conclusion, I would use Make It EZ Movers again, and recommend them based on my experience.
