They wrapped mostly all furniture however my wall unit although wrapped was broken due to not securing the drawers. One worker was verbally abusive and argumentative when I pointed out the drawers were disleveled and top of unit was torn apart.
After about an half hour of trying to repair on my time they called the owner who told them to bring unit in for repair. I was charged $342.00. $200 paid in advance (deposit) I paid the balance due per the owner (Chris over the phone) $142.00 minus (5%) Angie's coupon however, I was not given an invoice. I decided to pay by check so I would have a record. I also wanted something stating that the unit was taken for repairs. It was hand written on the back of their mapquest copy. After 2 days I called asking when unit would be repaired and returned spoke to owner (Claudia) who had no idea what I was talking about. Had to call husband (Chris) who called several hours later stating unit was still on the truck however it would be repaired and returned about 6p.
The unit was repaired and returned at approximate 9p. The same movers returned the unit. It was stated at that time that there had been a error in calculated final cost and an additional $20 was due. I did not feel obligated to pay it due to there own errors.
I would not rate this company as professional movers. They are neighborhood movers. They did not wear uniforms, 2 workers swore the whole time due to furniture being heavy. Just not a professional outfit.
The only problem I had was resolving a billing error. We inadvertently overpaid for our move. I learned of this when I received an invoice the next week. I called and they said it indeed looked like we had overpaid. They would research the transaction fully and a check would be cut to us in 1-2 weeks. That was mid-June. I didn't receive the check until mid-September after making at least 5 calls. Each time they said we were owed a refund and I should receive it in 2-3 business days. Each time we spoke, the company was very professional and polite. They were just very slow in refunding our money.
They also moved us two weeks later. This was no easy task as we had our own 4 bedroom home to move plus furniture and boxes from my father's estate that took up half the garage. They were punctual, professional (worked the entire 7-8 hours), respectful and friendly. My husband and I were extremely impressed with their work ethic.
The company is also extremely flexible. Because home closings often don't happen when originally scheduled, they are always willing to change your move date or time. Dealing with these movers was the least stressful part of selling our old home and buying a new one! When our new buyer's pod arrived hours early, they were able to find a way to accomodate the pod and still load their trucks. They are top notch! Even my realtor got their name because she was so impressed with their ability to deal effectively with change.
