Dishonest company. Listed a table we bought from them as having a concrete top, with material being concrete... when we received the table, the material was actually wood covered with laminate. Absolutely shocking how misleading the advertising of this item was on their website. We sent the item back as soon as we received it. They should be ashamed of themselves to deal with dishonest suppliers.

My experience has been pretty good. They have quite a variety of style furniture. It's a pretty comprehensive store. They have everything from curtains to fabrics there so it's a wide variety of style. One stop shopping helps. Overall it's a good experience with the store. One good thing is their clearance section which pretty much takes up half of the floor. We can often find things a lot cheaper in the clearance section. I found a lamp that was five hundred bucks at one store and I went to High Fashion and in the clearance section it was on clearance for $99 so it was quite a savings. I had to look at it three times of course it was one of those situations where it was a scratch and dent kind of thing because not everything there is perfect but a lot of things are. We have to make careful note of the condition of the item because there are no returns once they are on clearance. I really looked at the lamp and I had pictures of the other lamp because I was about to buy it. When I walked in there was the same lamp for one fifth the price. Sometimes it's not easy to find people to help us. Some are overpriced and some are drastically reduced. The quality is pretty good. When we find somebody on the floor they are very responsive and very friendly. They are all pretty professional except for the folks in the front. The people on the floor are very knowledgeable and very professional.

It went really well. They are great about getting you swatches and handling returns.

I have bought items there many times and they have the most eclectic and unusual collection of furniture/accessories in Houston and carry items from traditional to mid-century inspired to ethnic.
They also have the largest selection of upholstery fabrics outside of of a design center that I have seen available to the public. Some associates ( definitely not all) can be nonchalant at best and downright snarky at worst, but over all my experiences at the store have been good. I would recommend it for those looking for furniture/ accessories you won't find in everybody's living room.

I got two windows covered floor to ceiling (about 13 feet high). I purchased the material and they turned it into curtains with backing. I like their ability to make floor to ceiling window treatments because I couldn't find anything long enough that was pre-made. They had a wide variety of home dand eacute;cor that is out of the box. You are bound to find something that you like and it will be individual to make your home your own. The quality is good but was a lot of money; it definitely isn't bargain.

I was familiar with the High Fashion fabric store, so I thought I would see what their Home store was like. There was a huge selection of materials from which to select. The materials are well displayed and are kept neatly in order. I really like the one I chose. I had tried some other places in Houston, but this store had the best selection for my traditional tastes. I thought the person who helped me was professional and knowledgeable. I know the work on the upholstery was done well. I know what it was supposed to look like, and I have no criticisms at all. I have not posted a report before now because I only joined Angie's List in May. I was searching today for someone to make some pillows for me, and I came across this store again. I was shocked at the low rating given it. I will call them next week about making the cushions for my kitchen breakfast nook. If they do not do something so small, I will see if they can recommend someone.

I was very impressed with the large selection of fabrics. All of the help were very nice and helpfu. I browsed every level. I plan to go back and focus on just the fabrics. I am not sure if I will use their upholstery services or use an individual we have used before that we know is tried and true. Stay tuned.....

Disaster! We had three separate issues with the sofa. The first issue was a problem with the fabric on the buttons, which was handled quickly and efficiently by customer service. The second was a stain on the side fabric panel, which I noticed within two weeks of delivery. After several discussions, they offered to replace it with a floor model or to return it. As I had purchased the matching chair, I didn't want to return it. The floor model wasn't a good option either as it had been sitting in the dusty showroom for a couple of years. We decided to live with the sofa as it was. After we'd had the sofa a month, I noticed that the sleeper mechanism bar was resting on our hardwood floor and notified HFH of the problem. It took nearly TWO MONTHS before a replacement sleeper had arrived and they were ready to repair. When the upholstery repair company took the sofa, they dropped it on my front porch. When it was returned, they had not done the work promised and the sleeper was still resting on the floor. I called HFH and asked them for a full refund on the sofa (which was given) and indicated that I wanted them to pick it up-not the upholsterer as they'd already done enough damage to our home. They sent the upholsterer to pick it up anyway. Essentially, we're stuck with the matching chair ($1000) that doesn't match anything and are looking for a new sofa. And the quality of the product isn't as good as we had thought-it isn't holding up well to daily use.
