We chose Heights Hospital for Animals when we brought our puppy home this spring. We were immediately impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of the entire staff. We've had several visits for the check-ups, vaccinations, and tummy bugs that are inevitable with a new puppy. Each time Dr. Duncan and Dr. Martinez have taken great care to answer all of our questions and ensure our puppy is happy and healthy. The team is courteous and responsive to each patient that walks through the door. They consistently follow up with phone calls after a visit to ensure everyone is doing well at home. We highly recommend Heights Hospital for Animals and will continue to entrust them with our puppy's vet care!

Happy place. Entire team seems to love their work and working with one another. Extremely clean. No wait time. Will go back and will take my other cat next time too. Heck, they think my cat is beautiful. What more can I say? These people are brilliant!

We think he's really good, we like him. We're really pleased, everything has gone well. He wasn't overly expensive.

Before Dr. Duncan moved to the Heights, where I live, I traveled up to
Spring to be able to bring my animals to his clinic. He is by far the
best vet I have ever had for my pets--He solved my cat's urinary tract
problem with diet and distilled drinking water when another vet was
recommending surgery.
I also love the new hospital...I have not
needed the boarding services, but love the vacation themed kennels for
the dogs. The art deco building fits in well to the Heights and sure
makes it easy to spot.
I don't think you can go wrong by choosing Dr. Duncan and Heights Hospital for Animals.

I love this vet. I have been using them for a year now and have 2 dogs and several cats, one of which is diabetic and needs to be seen often. I love that the staff is always nice and friendly and Dr. Duncan is great. pricing is a little high but I pay it for the good care. I would like it if they would charge only one office visit per a visit not per pet. If I come in for a visit with several pets they want to charge me an exam fee per pet.

They are one of the best. He is an excellent veterinarian. My dog has had diabetes for about a year and a quarter now and I just still haven’t been able to get him regulated, so I go there every two weeks. I still can’t get my dog regulated 15 months after the diagnoses. I spent $79.50 the last time I took my dog there and that is when they had him for 12 hours and they are popping him every two hours testing his glucose. This facility is clean, the people there are very pleasant to deal with, and they truly care about animals. Dr. Duncan seems to be one of the better vets I have dealt with in the course of my life and I would not want to change vets. I am actually considering moving out of Huston by 90 miles, but I will not change my vet and I will come in to Huston for that. I think that their prices are reasonable.

We chose Heights Hospital for Animals after researching different vets online. They received good reviews so we brought our dog in and were happy with our first visit to Dr. Duncan. However, our dog started having stomach issues and after many visits Dr. Duncan still couldn't determine the cause. We suggested a food sensitivity at the beginning of our dog's issues, but Dr. Duncan dismissed it. After many expensive and unnecessary tests that showed nothing was wrong, we decided on our own to switch our dog's diet to limited ingredient and saw a dramatic improvement. Other issues we had were that we always felt rushed when meeting with Dr. Duncan and he wouldn't take the to answer our questions. Also, there were several times that no one would answer the phone when we would call to make an appt. and we would have to call back the next day or days later. We had also left messages on their voice mail on several occasions but we would never get a call back. The final straw was when we had our dog neutered in the fall at Heights Hospital for Animals. We had noticed slight hair loss on his nose a two weeks after the surgery, but Dr. Duncan didn't think anything was wrong after examining our dog. Two weeks later, our dog started loosing a lot hair on his nose and had a nasty skin infection on his groin area. We tried calling Dr. Duncan several times on a Monday (a day they were supposed to be open) but no one ever answered the phone. Fed up and concerned for our dog's health, we called a different vet who was able to get us in the next day and diagnosed the problem as dermodex mange, and told us that this was a common complication following surgery. However, Dr. Duncan never told us that our dog could have these issues after being neutered, and had we known, we would have brought him in much earlier for treatment. A lot of money and wasted time later, our dog is healthy and we are happy with our new vet.

I'm up there all the time getting medication for my old dog. I spend a lot of money on the medication. Dr. Duncan is fairly young and remembers everything about me. I don't feel like I am just a client there. He really loves my animals and his staff is really good too. He was off one day, and the person covering for him came to my house and put one of my dogs to sleep in my home for me because I didn't want to take him to the veterinarian for that. I thought that was a very kind thing to do because I had a dog that was terrified of going to the vet, and I didn't want that to be the last thing that happened to him. My dog was able to be here in his home, on his bed, where he was comfortable with me and he really didn't know what was happening. Dr. Duncan is overall excellent. He is also excellent in terms of price, quality, responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism.

A newly opened vet clinic we've found that I simply have to share. Located in the heart of the Heights in a brand-new building, this is a full-service clinic for your pets, with some of the most caring and capable staff we've known in the 30 years we've had "repairs and maintenance" done on our dogs. Dr. Duncan graduated from Aand M in 2000, and is the son of a long-time vet in the west Houston area. As the only doctor at the clinic, he maintains a close relationship with each pet and their owner. He makes personal phone calls to inquire about the pet's progress, and he seems very up-to-the-minute on procedures and practices. Dr. Duncan is very thorough in explaining his work, and is happy to give you options for treatments which range from the minimal to the most inclusive, depending on your desires and your budget. The clinic staff is also pleasant and friendly, thanks to the up-front assistance of Pat and others. The facility itself is state-of-the art, even the waiting room sparkles with its comfy chairs and oil paintings on loan from local pet artists. We've gone to different vets over the years, but I have to say that Heights Hospital for Animals is a real find. Just don't confuse this place with the similarly-named Heights Veterinary Clinic which is in the same general area. Close in name, but not related.
