Company president, Laura Virgadamo, and master Houston electrician, Dennis Virgadamo, began the Harmony Electric company in 1985. In 1986, it was decided that the company should be moved to a more prime location; the Houston Heights. Houston Heights is known today as one of Houston's most historic districts. Our Mission The Harmony Electric Company, Inc. is committed to "harmony" and what it represents as it involves much more than just connecting a few wires. Excellent every time. I trusted the guys in my house if I had to run to the store for materials, they did not have their trucks. Dennis arranged arrivals around my schedule and I usually never waited more than 36 hrs. for an electrician, many times they arrived same day or over night.
You can call, leave a specific message and Dennis will reply the following morning. These guys saved me from electrical fires in my old house. They know me now via my address and kindly respond as soon as they can. These and very friendly people.

"Mr. [Member name removed] did not want to pay his bill and kept giving us the run around. He ordered work to be done on property he does not own and then wouldn't pay the bill. We simply advised that we would start legal action. He doesn't own the property so he is giving a review on property he does not own. He is not the tenant or the owner. When we attempted to collect the bill, we learned that he is not the owner. He called the tenant stupid and said they should pay the bill. I suspect we corrected a problem created by an unlicensed contractor. He would not give us the owner's contact information. The tenant actually had to contact him to pay the bill. Please remove this posting. We were firm with him but not rude after we learned of his misrepresentation."

I was taken back by the total charges for the work they did. I am not sure if this is the standard charge for electrical services.
I am not sure if I will use them again because of the high cost.
"The first time we were there, we corrected electrical wiring in the ceiling that was not installed according to code. We had to diagnose the problem and rework the electrical that was not properly installed. It takes time to diagnose a problem created by unskilled labor. Our technician attempted to call you but there was no answer, therefore we could not get approval to do additional work at that time, however, we were able to reach you and get approval to replace the 7 ballasts, and have completed that work as well. That will be billed today. If you have any questions or concerns about the work we performed, please call us."

Calvin and James were knowledgeable and, judging by the quality of their work, seemed to have extensive experience. They were safety-conscious and were careful and precise in all the work that they did. They left the work site looking better than it did when they arrived.
Their next stop was to do some work for a large commercial client. Considering that Harmony Electric has clients that can afford to pay much more than I can, I felt lucky to have the opportunity to have an hour and a half of their time.
When I need electrical work in the future, I will call Harmony because I trust that they will provide high-quality work at fair prices.
