Everything went very smoothly. The project was estimated to take two months, and that proved to be accurate. Mr. Gullo was professional and easy to work with...he was accessible at all times, and kept things moving along. The subcontractors were all wonderful (painters, dry wall workers, tiler, electricians, carpenters, etc.)

I found Frank to be an outstanding contractor, knowledgeable and experienced in his craft, gracious and refined. With him in my home, I felt comfortable and confident, and that's important to me in a contractor. He took careful notes and clearly listened to my vision for this bathroom. He never tried to talk me into other, more expensive, options. Rather, he respected my desire to keep the custom cabinets as well as original mirror and relatively new porcelain tile flooring.
Among the contractors I have dealt with on this project, Frank leads by far in responsiveness. He never once kept me waiting, and his bid came in far more promptly than most. Many kept me waiting so long, with no word, that I nearly gave up on them altogether. But with Frank, I would send an email and have a response within hours. I never had to worry about that part. He also volunteered to take me to the granite yard to select granite, for I had never been to a granite yard. At every turn, he was there for me. 
Ultimately it was a toss-up between Frank and one other contractor. My hurdle was the additional money it would cost to go with Frank--around $3,800 as I recall--and just for this one room. Many more projects remain. In my turn-down email, to which he quickly and graciously responded, he explained that he uses only licensed subcontractors, and it does cost more to employ them. I certainly understand and respect that. Important to know. I remember, too, that he said he has had the same people working for him for many years. That says a lot about him.
If you're looking for a top-notch contractor and are able to play a premium for quality, I think you will be pleased you had Frank provide an estimate for you. Be sure to check out his website too. He did a great job.

It went fairly smooth. He did a good job and his staff was trustworthy. He was responsive and followed up on items and our requests. The results were what we wanted and expected.

My wife and I recently spent just over $200,000 to have our entire house remodeled. I bought quite a few books on remodeling and each book had something a little different to offer but one thing I found in all of them was that you need to trust your general contractor. 
Frank is a longtime contractor and in talking with some of his vendors most could not recall how long they had been doing business with him. The plumbing supplier said that it had to be 20 years or more. Frank is methodical, thorough, very fair and transparent on costs and contracts. If I had to do it all over again I would use Frank even if I had to wait months.
If you are doing major work on your home it can be difficult and stressful. Be prepared and use Gullo Construction as your general contractor.

Their price is very fair. Their estimate is very reasonable. Mr. Frank Gullo is a contractor and he does a good job. He is trustworthy and he does not try to force you into things that you do not need. He is very honest, honorable and thorough. We would like to grade him highly across the board. We would absolutely use him again in the future.
