I had a very disappointing experience with Griffin Fence. After installing the fence in November 2023, issues quickly arose with the structure’s integrity, including problems with the welding and the stability of the posts. I promptly reached out to Griffin Fence on multiple occasions, starting in December 2023, providing photo and video evidence of the issues. Despite numerous follow-ups over several months, there was minimal responsiveness and a lack of accountability from their team. A scheduled visit in April 2024 was supposed to address the welding concerns, but the crew failed to resolve the root issues, and some problems even worsened. Subsequent follow-ups in July and August still yielded no effective results, and Griffin Fence’s communication was inconsistent at best. The most recent visit in September ended with their technician arriving and leaving in under 10 minutes without performing any inspection or repairs. The level of service and attention to customer concerns was unacceptable, and the unresolved issues have left me questioning the quality of their work. I cannot recommend Griffin Fence based on this experience.

We were looking for a reputable company with good reviews. Griffin fence lived up to their reputation and did excellent work. Not the cheapest, but I would highly recommend if you want the peace of mind that comes with a real fence company and not a handyman.

Great job. The team was very efficient and had great communication about how the project was going. Amazing service and an even better fence job.

I could have hired a handyman to do the work for less, but I wanted a beautiful fence. The whole project was done in 2 days and it is as straight and level as any fence I've ever seen. It's sturdy and well-built. The installers cleaned up everything when they left and I'm very impressed. I will hire them again.

It began in August 2019 and was completed in June 2020. They didn’t tell us they were using a sprayer and to move our cars and now our white car is covered with black paint. No one will call us back and come and look at it. What a nightmare!

Quality work

The job was mediocre!! The height of the back fence was supposed to match with side fence. It started a 3" below and progressively declined until it was about 6" below the opposing fence line. In addition, the two man team placed the old fence against neighbors fence while conducting work causing the neighbors fence to bend in about a foot for about 6 feet. That will need o be replaced now. The job was hurried and not what I expected

I was very pleased with the work Edgar & Greg did in replacing chain link fence. They were very conscientious about doing a good job and completed work in 2 days in spite of rain. Charmaine, office personnel, was very responsive in answering questions. I would use their services again.

Scott Andrews, the sales rep, was extremely professional and understood the type of fencing that I wanted. The price was reasonable. I did pay for the sprinkler insurance. They finished my fencing 1 week early and it's beautiful and sturdy. The sprinklers did get injured in the process, but the sprinkler person they sent also came 1 day early and fixed everything within 1 hour. I am very happy with both my fences and my gate. I had gotten recommendations from my mother's neighbor. I believe Griffin Fence offers good value and would highly recommend them.

They have not completed the work and have made a mess of our landscaping. They also messed up our garden irrigation system by installing posts and damaging my underground pipes. We have contacted Angie's List for assistance with contacting this company since they have been absolutely unresponsive to our several attempts at calling them. I will not recommend them and do not want them back on my property.

I contacted Griffin fence after generally favorable comments from friends and neighbors. I needed my (shared) wood fencing replaced and wanted to add an iron driveway gate. The wood fence work was relatively good, but the iron gate work was well below my own and their service manager's expectations. Specifically: 1.) many welds contained globs of excess welding material and were simply spray painted as is, 2.) they didn't adequately clean-up after the job and 3.) they spray painted my lawn with black paint. The gate operator installation crew however, did a much better job - they ground and sanded their welds before painting to create a finished and professional result. The service manager was dispatched to resolve the welding issues and the result is acceptable. My highest level of displeasure was with my salesperson and the amount of my time he wasted throughout the estimating and installation processes. 1.) The delivered estimates for the fencing and iron gate were virtually unintelligible by me or my neighbors 2.) Apparently lacks adequate knowledge of the iron gate operators he sells - power requirements and placement, what will actually be delivered, operator tips/tricks 3.) No written confirmations or adjustments to work/material estimates to ensure invoicing can be tied back to an estimate/quote. The result: 1.) I expend hours creating spreadsheets that decipher the estimate and the appropriate neighbor cost splits 2.) The iron gate power source is not stubbed-out in the ideal location and I must self-research the gate operator website for tangible information 3.) Lack of estimate clarity creates invoicing snafus - invoices that do not match the written estimates, what was actually delivered and are not split between my neighbors as was mutually agreed upon. I simply paid the invoice to end the frustrations, but then I was invoiced three times more with no explanation as to what for or a reconciliation with what I have paid already. I expressed my dissatisfactions with the work and invoicing situation with the sales person via email and requested a call to discuss. The iron gate quality of work issues were resolved as noted above, but beyond this, I never received the call I requested. All I received was an email from the sales person containing an empty apology, a twisted implication that I was to blame for their invoicing issues, that he did everything right and he further implied that was simply a perpetually unhappy customer. Nice. The reality is that I do not expect perfection, but I do expect the firms I do business with to own the mishaps they create and to understand that any mishaps are mutually unpleasant for all. Good firms typically accompany a sincere apology with some form of compensation - acknowledging the inconvenience to the customer of not doing the job correctly the first time. Not so in this case and with ample opportunity to do so. It is a shame that this story and review did not end on a high note, it would have been so easy to rewrite the ending.

I did not expect such poor customer service from Griffin Fence! BUT, I GUESS THEY ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN PUTTING UP NEW FENCES , NOT PROVIDING SERVICE TO THEIR EXISTING CUSTOMERS.

Griffin Fence installed an eight foot cedar fence and a wrought iron gate around our pool in 2010. At the time I was pleased with the work and would have recommended them to friends and family. Since then we have had problems with the gates and I have not been able to repair them myself and want to get them fixed to make sure the pool area is secure. I have contacted Griffin several times and they do not even bother to call back to speak with me about the problem. I am not expecting them to do the work for free, I only want them to come out and see what needs to be done to fix the problem so that the pool area is secure.

I called 3 highly rated fence companies to give me an estimate of the cost of replacing our fences.  Each of them contacted and scheduled time to see the job and 2 of the companies sent me an email with their estimate within a couple of days of their visit.  
Why did we select Griffin Fence?  Great communication and assurances that an experienced team would work on our job. John Barclay was the sales rep who gave us the estimate, which was in line with the other companies' estimates.  He responded quickly to questions I sent via email or called me back to discuss concerns.  Since three of us neighbors were sharing in the cost of the fence, we made some modificiations to our original plan and had to call John a couple of times.  And even tho we still did not make a commitment to Griffin, he responded quickly.
We also had heavy vines growing on parts of the fence.  The other companies based their estimate for removal of the vines on the entire length of the fence.  John, however, gave his estimate based on how much of the fence actually had  vines growing on it.  For example, the fence that was 98 linear feet, John estimated that vines had to be removed from 43 linear feet of fence.   Whereas both of the other companies included charges for vine removal based ont he full 98 linear feet.  That did make a difference in the total cost of the fence. About one month after we signed the contract, our fences were installed over a 3-day period.
An experienced team--Honorio + his sons--were punctual and professional throughout the job. We are very pleased with the final result.  It?s changed the look of the whole yard.  It would take a pretty strong hurricane to knock these fences down.  Honorio was exacting in setting the posts in concrete 3 ft deep into the ground.  The cedar pickets are tight and Honorio aligned the height of the wood fence to the height of the facing brick fence, presenting a smooth continuity between brick and wood.  
The fences really are the work of a master craftsman.
On the last day of the job, they loaded their truck with all the femce materials and the heavy vines, but had no more room to load additional branches that were stacked on the back alleyway behind our fence.  John later sent someone over to remove those branches.

Griffin originally installed the gate and did a good job on other previous repair work. My main concern has been that the gate opener seemed to need a lot of maintenance. I was told that mechanism was wearing out quickly because of the rusted chain. I purchased what was described as a nickel plate non-rusting chain. The chain began rusting within 7 or 8 months and now is very rusted and the mechanism is audibly struggling. I spoke with a manager at the company and was told that nickel plated chains will rust and are not warranteed past 6 months. Also, service manager promised to call back about the chain problem and for a bid for related work. He never called.

I found the salesman to be very knowledgable and a straight shooter. When my neighbor requested the highest quality wood that isn't typically used for outdoor fence construction they were receptive and made it happen. During construction I noticed an issue and called my salesman and he worked it out to my satisfaction.

They have done a fabulous job and their price is comparatively reasonable. I just cannot ask for more from them. They are working from book that my husband bought. When I showed it to them, they studied it and said that they can do it. They gave us suggestions that were really neat and we can add them on later. Overall the fence looks pretty.

They do a lot of work, and they did my neighbor's fence. They're good, its a beautiful fence. I'm not exactly sure what we paid for it because me and my neighbors split the cost. The fence looks so nice. It's a wooden privacy fence and it's really nice looking compared to what it used to look like. They did the job quickly and we have nothing to complain about at all. It even stood during Hurricane Ike, which blew down a lot of other fences. It is a big fence company and they do a lot of work. They must always do a good job because people are always using them. I would use them again but this fence is going to see me out.

OUR FENCE WAS REPLACED IN ONE DAY. I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL AT 7AM TO TELL ME A CREW WOULD BE OUT WHEN THEY COMPLETED ANOTHER JOB. THEY ARRIVED BY 10. BY 5 THEY HAD CLEANED UP THE AREA, LOADED THE OLD FENCE ON THEIR TRUCK AND WERE GONE. THE SUPERVISOR ALSO TOLD ME ABOUT A BROKEN WINDOW IN THE VACANT HOUSE NEXT DOOR. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE A REPORT WITH HPD. I WILL DEFINITELY CONTACT GRIFFIN FENCE THE NEXT TIME I HAVE FENCE WORK TO BE DONE.

RETURNED INITIAL CALL PROMPTLY; SHOWED UP FOR ESTIMATE ON TIME. NOT QUITE SO RESPONSIVE IN FOLLOWUP CALLS. TEENY BIT OF SCHEDULING PROBLEM BUT RESOLVED IMMEDIATELY. THEY DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB ON THE FENCE AND A FANTASTIC CLEAN UP. AFTER THE INITIAL SCHEDULING CONFUSION, THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME AND WORKED HARD ALL DAY, COMPLETING THE JOB IN 1 DAY. I WILL CERTAINLY USE THEM AGAIN.

THE JOB WAS WELL DONE AND IN GOOD TIME. PLEASED WITH THE TWO MEN. REASONABLY PRICED AND WOULD RECOMMEND THEM AGAIN.

THE WORK WAS EXCELLENT AND COMPLETED ON TIME. THE EMPLOYEES WERE POLITE AND MADE SURE THINGS WERE CLEANED UP WHEN THEY WERE DONE.
