I purchased a door from another vender but the hardware was a Buffalo Forge Cast Bronze Handle Set. The set looked great when it arrived but during installation it became apparent the internal mechanisms were of the quality you would expect on a much cheaper door set. At a retail price of $1395 for a door set, I would expect a much better quality. Additionally immediately after installation, the finish began coming off. I would not recommend Glasscraft door H/W

My contractor picked up the doors for installation. They were covered in plastic wrap and cardboard so they could not be looked at. When he got them back and the installer came, they were a complete mess!! Stain and glue all over the panes of glass. It was pathetic. I would have never allowed for something looking like that to have left my store without some sort of check list. Then I noticed that each pane of glass (6 lite doors double paned which equaled 24 paned of glass) had four lines of etching on it saying tempered glass, etc. I was never told this would appear on the glass, the doors in the showroom did not have this etching on all pieces of glass and the sales book did not have a disclaimer saying that each pane of glass would have the etching in the corner by the bevel. I would have NEVER ordered these doors if I had known they would look like this. I went back and forth for several weeks with some of the ladies up there asking, begging for someone to come out and look at these doors. They are hideous! Finally they sent someone out to clean the glass of glue and stain and he scratched the glass after spending almost three hours cleaning them! It was such a waste of my time. Because I am not a home builder I am a lowly residental customer, I was not given any consideration for the issues. The panes of glass look like there are smudges where the etching was done so negligently and haphazardly, it isn't even straight or even consistent etching on the glass! To put this in every single pane of glass 24 times is ridiculous especially for the crappy job of etching that was done. No one would help me, no one would make a trip out to visually inspect my doors and no one would return my emails other than a customer service person. No one cared. They took my $3800 and basically just hoped I would fade away. Well, I am reporting this company to the BBB and Tx State Atty Genetal. No one should have to spend that kind of money and get treated so badly. Worst company ever in my books. Highly disappointed and you will be too if you spend what I did and got what I got. I have never given a company an F but if it could be WORSE than an F, they would get that rating from me. Residential buyers BEWARE!!!

Glasscraft had the best selection of anyone we looked at in the area. They were helpful and answered our questions. They even directed us towards a discounted door that was already on the floor. It was exactly what we had wanted (from looking at their catalog online) except for one thing, and we decided that the price difference made that one thing unimportant. Their online catalog deserves another word of praise - it was very complete and easy to use and helped us figure out what we wanted. They came out and measured and were very professional. They could have explained things just a little bit better - once we were making the phone calls to finalize the deal, we found out a few other details that we hadn't known before, but they weren't a big deal. When they came and installed the door, they were punctual, very precise, polite, and cleaned up their mess. The door is beautiful and seems to be very good quality. It is a huge improvement on what we had before. The price is a little high, but apparently all good quality front doors are expensive. Overall we were very satisfied. I would definately recommend this company.

We went to their showroom and viewed the available doors. After choosing a door, the sales associate informed us how the process worked. There was a bit of a delay to install the door. The installation turned-out very well. I was somewhat concerned since they had to cut out the orginal door for the frame, but the two men did a great job. They had to match the stain on the frame to the door that we choose. I couldn't have asked for better work.

Sales staff was easy to work with at the showroom. The items on the floor were reduced due to slight imperfections. The irregularities were well worth the savings. We bought a $1500 door for $500 (plus installation and tax). This is quite a savings over ordering the same door from them. As a bonus, the one we chose was unfinished so we got to choose the stain. The installer was on time and did a good job in a reasonable amount of time.

I request Glasscraft to refinish a new door that they had sold and installed at my house a month earlier. This was because the outside finish had gotten some spots on it either from some pesticide spray or the lawn sprinkler. Their charge for the service was $250 plus tax. They told me that the charge to refinish the door on site was so high because it took their technician 3-4 hours to do the job. After some scheduling delay the workman arrived a couple of weeks later. He used some quick spray can type product to spray the door with clear urethane and left in less than a half hour. When he was done the outside door handle and lock set were covered with urethane overspray and the door had a very dull finish. He also sprayed over the dirt and dust that was on the door. A few phone calls later the technician was sent back out to redo the finish and clean the door handle. The guy cleaned half the handle and told us that nothing could be done about the door finish.

They were a little hard to get a hold of on the telephone. He also had to reschedule the time of installation because the door wasn't ready. All the other work was well done and I was satisfied with the work.
