Massive disappointment.  I called the number given to schedule my installation and delivery.  Since this is first time using Geek Squad I had no idea the delivery was a different contractor and the installation was another.  As such my LCD delivery was perfect and on time and guys were very professional.  I asked them if they also do the installation and that's when I learned another contractor was coming.  So being a little confused I called the number and soon discovered that my installation was not scheduled.  What's even better my previous call to the schedule the appointment was not even in their tracking system (see my lesson learned note below).  So not only did my LCD did not get installed when i wanted it I was forced to accept the next available appointment which is another week of waiting!

Also the telephone automation system sucks.  I wasted 30 minutes in my first call which turned into a bust.  My second call was slightly better at 20 minutes after the call back option which is still slow in my opinion.  If business is that good hire more people!  It's like these grocery stores with 20 checkout lanes and only 4 lanes are open.  Customer's time is important and if I know the service is slow i will buy else-ware.

Lesson learned is to make sure you get a service number from the service agent.  That will ensure that your service is in their system and then you can go online and double check to make sure everything is setup right.

The new system required wires and cables that were not included in the purchase nor part of my current system that could be scavenged.  This was a hidden cost to the installation, but not a 'Geek Squad' issue;  they had the cables and sold them to us for a nominal fee.

The set up was painless and smooth.  System looks and runs great now that it is up and running.

I went to BEST BUY to set an appointment to have my TV repaired. The guy was very professional. Today I got a phone call from the Geek Squad telling me my appointment was set up with the wrong techs. They scheduled me for PC tech. Now I have to start over! And I think a week is too long to wait. How long will it be now?

Michael was very professional and knew his job, My Comcast cable box was not compatible with the system, but he was able to get everything else working very quickly and efficiently. Geek Squad central gave him the wrong appointment information. My appointment was 8 to 12 and they told him 12 to 4. Michael was on time anyway! Give Michael an A, his schedulers a C. Installation was complete in just over an hour.

Tech mounted our TV above fireplace.  The TV turned on but was not connected to my cable provider.  I asked why could he not connect it like it was when he arrived.  He said that the cable was stapled inside the wall.  First of all I don't know how a cable can be stapled inside an already built wall, but ok.  He said I would have to call my cable provider in order to get cable to my TV.  That's funny because when I left that morning I had cable connected.  After he left I just went outside on my deck to watch TV.  I found that all 4 TV's in my home were not connected to cable!!  I called Tech support.  He proceeded to call the tech, Patrick, that did the installation.  He told me that Patrick would be giving me a call back to walk me through it.  This is 2 days later, still no call. I called again and was told it would be 2 days before they could get someone out.  My husband had to go in the attic and found that "Patrick" connected a cable to my TV but then shoved it in to the attic with the end cut off just laying there.  My husband, after working 13 hrs, had to go in to the attic and repair the cable and connect it.  This is the entire reason I contacted Geek Squad, so that my husband would not HAVE to do this!  I paid $149.99 for a service that WAS NOT performed.  My husband has called and spoke with a store manager, I have called and spoke to customer service and they say they will not refund the $149.99 because the service was performed.  Really, pretty sure we connected the service.  Then the customer service rep tells me today, well we can send someone out to reconnect everything.  But let's see that would be in a few days.  Ok so I am suppose to be without a TV for 4-5 days, and I actually paid for this?  This is by far the WORST so called "service" I have ever paid for. My husband and I own an automotive facility on a very busy highway.  If I ran my business the way Geek Squad (Best Buy) runs their business, my doors would have been shut years ago!  Horrible, Horrible service.  I am across the street from a Best Buy, and have bought a lot of equipment from them including large items for my home.  I will never again step another foot in to that store or any Best Buy!  And I will certainly never use Geek Squad again.  Gone is customer service.  Horrible!!!

I'd done some research on the computer on what I was looking for. I wanted a GE brand at 1100 watts. I bought one that sat on the counter. All of the salespeople are young folks and I think they are doing the best job they know how to do. I spoke with someone in the photography department who was very intelligent and knew his products.

As soon as I walked in and they opened up my computer, they started finding other things wrong with my 2 year old computer. I told them to just fix it, do what had to be done.  I brought in back up disc, and brought in other disc so they could back up my recent info.  They gave me a time of 3 days.  After a week I hadn't heard from them so I called them.  They said my computer was ready. I got my computer home and the disc I gave them to back up my recent info was empty.  They had forgotten to back it up.  Plus they did not reinstall my backup disc.  After I installed my backups, my computer still didn't work.  When I installed my backups info was dropped and lost. I brought my computer back to best buy, and they said for another service charge they would be happy to look at it.  Forget it. I took it to a independent computer shop and they told me I would be better off buying a new computer.  They were shocked at the mess best buy had caused and would not fix. I ended up buying another computer. Totally inept,and not truthful.  Did not back up their own work.   They have lost my business on anything forever.
