They were very professinal and did a great job on the design plans. They even helped with locating an Engineer for the building plans.

We needed someone with more experience and more creative design.  He did everything we asked him to do.  We were disappointed by his lack of creativity.  If you know what you want, Erick is your guy.  If you need some ideas and assistance with design, I would work with someone else.  We were also disappointed that Engineering drawing were not included in his drawings.  We had to hire another professional for this service.  We were unaware of this until the first set of drawings were submitted for our approval.  
Erick gave us basic drawings.  If you are looking for more detail, including engineering drawings, I would look elsewhere.
On a positive note, Erick is very punctual.  He was able to turn around drawings in a very short time.  Our communication was via email and an occasional phone call.

I worked directly with Elton and he was great. He came out within a few days of me calling and sketched out a few ideas within 10 minutes of being there. We took a staged approach where he made some preliminary/rough drawings before agreeing to move forward with more time/money/detailed drawings. Elton was very knowledgable, courteous and responded in a timely manner. And overall Garcia and Hernandez were very competitively priced. I would definitely recommend and would use them again for future work.

I decided long ago that I wanted my first home to be a custom home. The detail and uniqueness that comes with custom homes is not easily surpassed by builder stock plans. In doing my research, I learned that the designers for Garcia & Hernandez Custom Homes had worked many years for an architectural company that designed multi-million dollar custom homes before they decided to go into business for themselves designing smaller homes. When I went to them they were very professional. They never said no to any request I made. I, myself, am not a very creative person, yet they made the process easy. We started by making a list of all the things my custom home had to have to make me happy... things like a Mediterranean style home, at least 3200 square feet, a stucco exterior, a car wash shower, a 2 story great room, an indoor balcony overlooking the great room and a small mechanic's shop. I left them to design the first draft based on my requests, and not too longer after, I was amazed by what they had created. There were details that I would have never thought of and that I fell in love with right away. They included columns around my bath tub and dome ceilings in my study, which they uniquely placed midway up the stairs. There were arches and niches throughout the house, and every room had a unique ceiling design. The breakfast area was a circular masterpiece, and they included 3 outside balconies extending out from the study, the guest room and the game room. The back patio included a 2 story porch, and they turned small empty wall spaces into closets and secret compartments so as to not waste space. When I requested that a few minor things be changed or added, they did it quickly and willingly. My home is now in construction, and the framing and roofing is complete. The detail of their design is starting to show and my future neighbors are impressed (and my home is being build in a neighborhood where everyone has a custom home)! The designers are still playing an active role in the construction of my home. They show up periodically and unannounced to the building site to walk the home and ensure quality work and adherence to the design.

If your looking to build a custom home, no matter how big or small, I would recommend these guys 100%. They are affordable. They pay attention to detail, they stay involved and they have a talent for bringing your visions into reality! 

Overall this was a painless experience, which is not what we anticipated. We thought we were going to be left alone making all of the decisions and that was not the case. This group was very professional in all aspect of the word. They were able to give us the what if's and the why not's. Example: The need to have permits pulled and what will happen if that is not done prior to beginning the job.

I have recently purchased a few more horses to add to my livestock. With this being, I was in need of adding a few more stables and a bigger storage area. Although I was area that Garcia & Hernandez worked in Residential Design I decided to inquire if my project would be something they were familiar with. After dicussing my ideas I decided to hire them. The design process was harmless and I got more than I even envisioned. My calls were always answered and any questions I had were addresed. A+!!!

After a few months of considering a Kitchen remodel, both my wife and I had been up in the air on how to go about things and the deign/style that we would both agree on. We ran accross Garcia & Hernandez Custom Homes, which where local, and decided to go into their office for the free consultation. After meeting with them we decided to hire them and glad we did. The Design process was not as hard as both my wife and I had thought, especially since we both do not see eye to eye on the same styles. Again very happy with the process and results.
