They deserve to be sued and put out of business due to the hazards their garage doors cause across Houston . Our garage door fell on top of our car and our neighbors almost fell on top of their family including a small child. This is a frequent occurrence with all of their doors throughout communities . They continue to state that this is not their problem despite three doors falling off their tracks on our street alone. They are liars, they don’t show up on their appointment time, and they don’t even tell you when their appointment time is. We took multiple days off of work, they never showed. They used the excuse that the employees were sick and hospitalized and then when I’d respond with but I spoke to them 2 hours ago they’d stumble and say well we’re not sure. We were forced to use them when buying a new home however, if I could have the choice I would tell them to leave a garage door off the house and not pay for such a terrible and deadly service. For your safety, DO NOT use this company.

I’ve purchased multiple garage doors from this company and all of them have had problems. They charge you to come and service their shoddy work. Terrible.

GDS was able to answer our questions about the MyQ garage door automation. He didn't charge us for the maintenance (oils and adjustments, etc.), since we purchased the hub for the MyQ. There was some miscommunication about the hub in that he left it for us to install, but it was relatively easy to figure out, so we were still pleased with the service call.

I would no longer work with this company, except they hold the warranty on the garage doors-new home construction.
Their customer service is lousy. They never call back. I have had to call them everytime something was to be scheduled. They recently told me they no longer made the part needed to fix my door. How did they suddenly stop making it in the six months since the door was installed? Why is it the new house 3 doors down from me has the part being installed as we speak?
When we had an issue with the opener failing, it wasn't covered under warranty and we were told it would cost us over $500. 
No one in the company can answer any of my questions. I have spoken to 5 different people about 1 issue. It is extremely frustrating. I even attempted to reach out to the manager listed on the contact form of their website, but my email was returned as no such address.

First I was given a noon-5 window which I feel is a very large window and the company should be able to plan their business in a more effective way as to minimize their windows. The technician had not arrived at 5 after I had taken time off to be at the house in the entirety of my time slot. I then attempted to call the company, and there message mentioned that there was no one in the office, and gave no mention of a service number I could call or how I could get into contact with the technician. I then assumed he wasn't coming and was about to leave the house when the technician showed up at 6:08, more than an hour out of a 5 hour time slot that I was given without a call or any indication that he was going to be late. The technician was able to fix the problem by banging on the various parts of the garage door with a hammer and spraying lubricant on the joints (and getting a considerable amount of lubricant on my finished garage walls). He also borrowed my ladder which I thought was odd, and stood on the very top which made me nervous and proved that he paid no consideration to safety. The job got done but I would not recommend this company. Note: I put the cost at $0.00 dollars because the company was contracted by my builder and I went through them so there was no charge to me.

1) First the call center is in Dallas so you will not know who will be coming until the day of the service call (if they show)2) The installer arrived with wrong parts and left without completing.  Retunred unexpected two days later3)  He failed to adjust the openers so they would not operate.  It required multiple calls to the call center to get someone out that was supposed to know how the system was to be programmed.  I basically had to do the trouble shooting for them.4) They by-passed a safety feature to make the units operate.5) They installed backup batteries.  One was not secured properly and nearly fell from an elevated height in June6) Set screws where not secured so both doors lost thier range setting from couplings sliding.7) This month one operator stopped functioning.  Service was scheduled and they called on the day they were supposed to arrive, 19 June to reschedule for 20th.  I agreed and arranged to be home.  They never showed and when I called the call center they said it had been canclled.
This is a low quality outfit dispatching technicians not able to get the job done correctly in a timely and effecient manner.

The contractor was in and out quickly and reset everything. We've had no problems since, and the problems in the original construction were corrected. He was professional and explained the problem to us carefully. I would definitely use him again if we ever had any more problems.

Garage Door Service of Houston did a satisfactory job for me. I was able to get the door and opener at a great and fair price. I feel the installation really went smoothly. The guys came out and got everything taken care of very fast. They also explained how to use it and what to do in certain instances. I felt very good about the way they treated us and the garage has definitely been improved by their product and work.

BIRCH WAS ON TIME AND INSTALLED IT. IT HASN'T GIVEN ME ANY PROBLEMS.
