Wesley Ferguson did an excellent job of tracking down a defective and potentially dangerous circuit that has been wired outdoors with an indoor extension cord.  He replaced the wire with proper outdoor wire and traced the entire circuit back to the the box to make sure the line was safe and properly installed.

He was good. They got the job done in about 30 minutes. The scheduling was easy.

Throughout the work he was very professional and friendly.  He was also very helpful with the City of Houston permit process.  Patrick was at my house when the city inspector came to view the connection of the oven.  He did not charge extra for being here with the inspector, it was all part of his work ethic to be with a project from start to finish.  I would highly recommend Patrick to all of you that want your home or business project done properly.

This task was done promptly and efficiently. At other times, Mr. Ferguson has provided me with helpful information and advice on electrical matters around my house.

patrick came and did some pre-sale repairs for my electrical system - fixed some lights, traced some non working circuits, & inspected old damage. he wrote a report and competed all the agreed upon work. and he arrived EARLY. he also explained all the things he was doing which I appreciated.

Patrick did a great job....very professional.  Thought he was a little high but a job well done.  We would use him in the future.

Called Patrick on Sunday, 5/12/13 and he responded immediately.  He was prompt and arrived at the time he indicated.  He was professional and answered all questions.  I was very happy for the prompt service on a Sunday and very happy with the work performed.

Mr Ferguson showed up on time, and did  great job.  He gave a lot of helpful tips as well.

The job from start to finish was an excellent experience.  
Patrick arrived and looked over the work to be done then gave an estimate of the cost to do the work.    He gave me different options of what work to do with the costs which was appreciated.   I asked for the service charge which he said could be done in one day.   We used email to detail the work and costs.
He was able to schedule his time and coordinated a convenient time with me which was really nice.  He was able to get the permit very quickly to start the work in a couple of days to meet my schedule.    
The day of the service change, he arrived early and completed by the end of the day.   His was very clean and neat working in the house.
He did an excellent job and I will definately use him again.

The quality of work that this company does is excellent, but my problem with them is their lack of communication and reliability.  This work took several months to complete because they failed to show up on 3 separate occasions.  Patrick, the owner, was having some problems with finding workers because of an illness of his main electrician.  I understood why he couldn't come on one occasion due to illness, but then he would totally forget about our future appointments.  When I would call him to say when are you going to be here, Patrick would tell me that he forgot about me.  On one occasion he called to tell me that the parts were in and he needed to schedule theinstall but then didn't show up for the install appointment.  I called and left him a message on his phone and sent him an email but received no response from him.  I called again 2 weeks later and told him how frustrated I was with his lack of responsiveness so he did come out that day to finish up the work.  This company may do excellent work, but I can't see how they'll ever stay in business if they treat customers with such a lack of respect.  There is absolutely no excuse for not calling the customer when there is a scheduling problem.

My overall rating is extremely high.  I thought the price was steep, slightly higher than I expected in comparison to previous price quote for replacing the circuit breaker box.  Nonetheless,  I would rather pay a slightly higher price for an excellent product and service.

Prompt service, especially for a non-emergency, and the electricians they sent were very friendly and professional.  I felt comfortable with the work and the cost.

Called him when three rooms in our house lost power. He quickly identified the problem and didn't try to scare us into spending more than necessary.

I will always use Ferguson's for electrical work in the future. The electrician was scheduled to arrive at 3:30. Because of traffic problems on the freeway, I was slightly late in arriving and was relieved to discover the electrician (Jeff) was still waiting for me. He was business-like and efficient but took time to be kind to my curious and eternally pesky 5 year old daughter. The work was done promptly. Best of all, Ferguson's price was MUCH lower than other companies. I used Universal for similar work last month and the price charged was over twice as much with fewer lights being installed.

In conclusion, I rank this company highly because of good customer service and great prices. I would recommend Jeff and Ferguson's to anyone.

I put off replacing knob and tube wiring since I purchased this house in 2008.  Since purchasing the house, I've had at least four different electricians (excluding Ferguson) provide quotes to replace the knob and tube wiring.  Quotes ranged from 10,000 to 25,000.  One company quoted me 5,000; however, I could never get them to show up and do the work.  My wife found Ferguson's on Angies List.  The owner, Pat, arrived when he said he would and provided me a time + materials quote.  He gave me a "best case" and "worst case" price range, with 5,000 being the "worst case" (i.e., the City requiring repairs/upgrades to out-of-scope items).  Low and behold, the City inspector did in fact raise issues with electrical items on which Ferguson's wasn't hired to peform work.  In other words, the increased price was through no fault of Ferguson's.  In fact, I was appreciative of Pat forewarning me that the City inspector may take issue with certain out-of-code items.

All in all, I am extremely pleased with the work Ferguson's performed.  My top 5 reasons why I will hire Ferguson's from here on out for electrical work and why I will recommend him to friends as well as Angies List subscribers:

1.Price - Most competitive price I found over a 3-year time period.
2. Punctual - Ferguson's always arrived when they said they would.
3.  Responsive - I called Pat's cell number numerous times over about a 3-week period while the work/inspection took place.  Not once was I sent to voicemail.  Pat answered every single time.  He never sounded "put out" with me or my [uneducated] questions about the work his guys were doing.
4.  Dependable - I'm renting this house out.  The day after Ferguson's completed the work, my tenant called to inform me the A/C wasn't working.  Hoping that the A/C issue had something to do with the electrical work, I called Pat.  It was a Saturday.  As always, he answered my call immediately.  In 30 minutes, his guys were at the house, hooking up a wire that was mistakenly not reconnected.  Mind you, this was all on a Saturday afternoon. 
5.  Honest - I believe all of my other comments evidence Pat's/Ferguson's honesty.  For example, some people would not have admitted that the A/C wire referenced in #4 was mistakenly not reconnected.  Of course, after getting to know Pat over the past few weeks and the way he operates his business, I was not the least bit surprised by his honest response.

I was going to put it in myself and when I got to it I decided that I would call someone to do it. the comments people made as well as the location. I also read what he does. I also made sure he was certified. And just sounded like a good bet. And he did a good job. I am getting ready to call him again.
