"When we were notified of this problem by [removed member name] our company immediately came to the home to inspect the damage. We found that initially there had been no steel plate protecting the pipe. A flooring nail did accidentally pierce the pipe. We called OUR insurance company and they came to the home 2 days later to inspect the damage. The insurance company filed a claim and immediately issued a check to cover all repairs. However [removed member name]not only refused the insurance check but also did not answer her door when we went over several times after that to schedule the repairs with her. She also refused to answer the door to a her neighbor (who referred us to her) she then sent a text message in July stating that she & her husband didn't want any repairs done after all and that the damage "was not that bad". Our insurance company canceled the check. And we have had no further communication with her."
