The problem we have with this company is not with the installation but with the price charged for services rendered. Robert charged us $885 for 4 grab bars plus installation saying the grab bars are a Moen product and the charge was so high because Moen products are quality products but are very costly. Each time we asked about the price Robert blamed Moen. After the services were rendered and Robert and his wife were paid, we did research to learn that Moen products are NOT extremely expensive. In fact, we received a quote from a different contractor after-the-fact and the quote was $500 less. We subsequently called Robert four times and have yet to hear back from him! We have also emailed Robert twice with no response. BUYER BEWARE!! My husband had just been released from the hospital and we needed the grab bars immediately for safety reasons. We feel Robert took advantage of us - an elderly couple who needed his services for safety reasons. We have attached a copy of his invoice which we received after his services were complete. Bear in mind, we were originally quoted $770 but Robert then charged us an additional $80 saying the bars we chose were more expensive. Again, this was a lie and nothing but a ploy to overcharge us. DO NOT EVER HIRE ROBERT AND LEONOR GARCIA, doing business as eZaccesbathroomS.com.

It was fabulous. They were very good. Better than we even expected. They were definitely very knowledgeable about handicap codes and needs. They told us exactly what they would do and gave us the exact cost up front. They didn't give us any extra charges.

A beautiful job from start to finish. The contractor showed up on time and did a high quality job. They worked around other contractors
and coordinated their schedule so they would not interfer with each other. They were very neat and cleanned up the work area each day. The old 1960's era pink bathroom is gone and a beautiful new tiled bathroom with walk in shower is in its place. They never made changes without consulting us and patiently listened to our recommendations and incorporated them or explained why they wouldn't work.
As an amputee I wanted plenty of rails to grab on to so I wouldn't fall. They provided these and showed me how they anchored them to 2x12" in the wall.
I had another contractor remodeling the rest of the house and he even commented on the high quality of the work and said their price was very reasonable.

In early spring of 2011, a stain appeared on the ceiling of the closet below the shower. I immediately contacted Mr. Garcia and it took two weeks of numerous calls and emails on my part to get him to come and take a look at the problem. Unfortunately, look is all that he did. I showed him the stain as well as cracks in the grout. He didn't even turn the water on but said that the problem was caused by the shower door, which he chose and installed. He suggested that I pay him an additional $1250 to install a new door.
Instead I called a plumber who came to the home and did a shower pan test (even though Mr. Garcia said that could not possibly be the problem). I tried to get Mr. Garcia on the phone with the plumber but he would not take the call. The plumber's recommendation was that a new shower pan be installed. Unfortunately, since the floor and the entire shower was tiled, this meant tearing it all out.
Once Mr. Garcia was presented with the facts and realized that the shower pan was indeed the problem, he stopped responding to my emails. I sent all emails to Mr. Garcia as well as to Mr. Sanchez, owner, via both their website as well as their email addresses so that I would have copies. I told them that if they would not correct the situation that I would have to hire another contractor to do so. I got two quotes to correct the problem and both contractors said that the entire structure would need to be torn out and redone. Work by the new contractor started on June 6, 2011, well over two months from the time I first notified Mr. Garcia of the problem.
Once the walls were opened, it was discovered that there was significant damage due to a slow leak caused by a nail protruding through the shower pan (pictures attached). The wood in the support wall as well as the floorboards had rotted as the water seeped through the defective grout and then through the hole around the nail. It wasn't until the wood was too rotted to absorb any more water that the stain finally appeared on the ceiling below and the problem became obvious.
The total cost to me to have this conversion properly redone as well as to have the damage to my home repaired was $10,649. Although Mr. Garcia, once I threatened to sue, promised to make it right and said that he was speaking for himself as well as Mr. Garcia. They sent me $2500 as a first payment and then reneged on their word. I have sent a demand letter for the balance but I am planning on filing in small claims court next week since I doubt that anything less than a legal judgement will get this company to accept responsibility for their defective installation.
This problem is the main reason that I joined Angie's List. Although not an accredited member of the BBB, this company at the time showed an A+ rating. They market primarily to senior and/or handicapped individuals. I have never been so badly burned by a company before and want to help other consumers avoid the problems that I encountered.
