Filter working fine. Very helpful at first. Chlorinator does not work properly or is not of good quality. Does not chlorinate my pool enough. I hate to give a bad review as overall, but not happy that I paid over 150 for a chlorinator and labor that doesn't work. So I have to put chlorine tablets in my skimmer basket and get a $4 floating chlorinator to help. I would have just saved the money if I knew it wasn't going to work. I called a couple times and emailed for help as to why it didn't work or if there is something wrong. Once they got the install money, they never called me back. So I still don't know if it is broken or just not big enough. Seemed like a nice guy. Was surprised that I got ignored after. Maybe this review will get me an answer.
Description of Work: Installed a new DE filter with a chlorinator.

To this date 4/15/17 this customer has not contacted us back for his own issues of operator error. Below is copies of the email interactions we had when we was not following my directions for cleaning his own pool. We did not provide him any cleaning services, but lots of free training, advice and even repaired additional equipment that we did not charge him for. Please read my response to your review and remind yourself of what we did for you beyond the work we were paid for, much time was spent trying to teach you how to take care of your first older pool. I would expect the review to be changed to reflect the extra work we did before, during and after the repairs we did. After that we can always be contacted at 281-213-9991 or 281-931-5443 to speak to us directly. We completed this job over 6 months ago and we very promptly responded to numerous calls after our work was done, every time you contacted us. The last time you contacted us was 6 months ago and we have not heard back from you after our last reply. See copies of last emails below. We completed this job by installing the best filter and the best in-line chlorinator the industry has to offer, no one in the industry will dispute this and I assured you of this. All your questions after our work was done had to do with teaching you about cleaning your pool and the amount of chemicals to add, which I spent much time giving you pool school advice about. Your new property pool water was dark green when we did our repair work and I spent an extra hour of my time discussing to you and your wife about how to take care of your first pool and how the "bad pool plaster" and the "stacked flagstone in the water" would cause you to need more chemicals and more maintenance than normal until you wanted to remodeled the pool and fix those major issues. BELOW IS THE LAST COMMUNICATION WE HAD: On July 21, the last time we heard from you, You wrote: I don't think I got a response to my last email I have the chlorinator you installed turned all the way up and it's keeping my chlorine between one and two looking closer to one. do you think there's anything wrong with this? (***We responded with a phone call and left a message for you to let us know current condition of pool and reminded you that filter probably needs to be completely cleaned due to how dirty pool was originally.) On Sunday, July 6, 2014, You wrote: You are right. sorry. double zeros in the separation tank column threw me off. Tell bill that things are better. The drains don't work at all. I put the vacuum head in the deep end and let it suction down there all day and night and it made a huge difference. Went through two bags of DE backwashing it so much. BUT I CAN SEE THE BOTTOM. I have the chlorinator up all the way and my chlorine is only around 2-3. Maybe this is all the rain and backwashing. Is this normal? While searching around for a good pool company, they were very professional and the most affordable at the same time. The first technician came over and did a walk through. The weekly technician came by, and was fast, efficient, and did a great job. They got my money!

We tried two other pool service companies before staying with Esposito Pools. They had a great price with chemicals included, were punctual and had no problems with our dog in the backyard. We move in December 2008 to an area that they did not service.
Description of Work: We used Esposito Pools for several years, from approximately 2006-2008 to do our weekly pool cleaning and chemical treatment.

I was more than happy to let them do the work, but when they came to my home, I was floored at the fact that they wanted me to sign a contract that had no logo on it and they wanted all the money up front. After those red flags, I decided that I did not want them to do the work on my pool.
Description of Work: I wanted them to come to my home to redo my 3300 gallon pool and handle some minor repairs.

This is the first time we have logged on to Angie's List and found this review. We have never asked for full payment upfront nor do we have signed contracts for repairs. We do have signed contracts and half deposits on major remodels. Angie's List had our very reputable company listed under another companies address using the same name, I assume this was a review for them. This other company was chased out of town, to Dallas - the last I heard, for taking payments and not doing the work.
