Elegant Upholstery and Slipcovers

These guys are easy to work with and very responsive. Sam is very responsive. The reason I gave them a B is because I feel like the end product would have been better if they'd spent a little more time thoroughly assessing the job in he beginning. Sam did offer a discount due to the minor mistakes. We declined the discount because they did do a good job, it just wasn't perfect.

We used Elegant Upholstery to recover 6 dining room chairs and were very happy with the work and the service. The owner, Sam, was responsive to emails and calls and worked within our short timeframe. He had fabric books for me to choose Le from at very reasonable prices. I would use them again and would recommend them.

The chair is beautiful. I'm pleased with the work that Sam did. Mary was helpful with the fabric selection. Sam picked up and delivered the chair in a timely manner. His prices for labor and fabric were fair/in-line. When the need arises, I will again contact Sam to do the work.

They made custom slip covers for 2 club chairs and ottoman, and a couch, and they turned out beautifully! The custom slips from Pottery Barn would easily have cost me $2700, are non-returnable & I could not have been certain that they would have fit as well. The slips from Elegant upholstery are completely customized to our pieces, so fit beautifully & made better than the PB slips I have seen in person.

After contacting them on Angie's List, they offered an online budgetary quote and a timeline. Both seemed reasonable and I decided to give them the job. After getting my own fabric which they allowed, I dropped off all of the materials, and explained which way I would like the complex pattern to be aligned.  I contacted them periodically over the course of the next three weeks to check on their progress, and they assured me of meeting their timeline. Right at three weeks they called to let me know that the job was finished. They came in on-time and on-budget. It wasn't until I got home that I noticed that the patterns on the cushions were not only aligned in the right direction, but they all matched. Each cushion was started at the exact location in the repeating pattern within a quarter of inch of each other. (Yes, I'm an engineer, and I actually measured.) That is what I call attention to detail. I am impressed, happy, and complimentary.

Owner picked up chairs at my home, which was very convenient. Since he had another pickup in the area, no charge for this. Owner gave me a very accurate time frame and redelivered 4 beautifully reupholstered chairs, delivered with care wrapped in plastic. The workmanship is superb and it was so convenient!

He was very punctual. Hi price as very good and he did an excellant job. He promptly told me how much fabric I would need and provided me with my options.

Sam came to pick up the chairs on July 23 and brought them back on August 17 (Saturday).   The chairs were beautifully done:  new leather matched the old perfectly; all details (such as folds on the foot rests) on the chairs were very nicely done.  I couldn't be happier.  The only caveat---the job took 3 1/2 weeks.  These are the main seating spots in front of our TV--we really had some difficulty adjusting to being without them for so long.  Sam did his best to get the chairs to us when he did, and we appreciated the Saturday delivery.  He was also very responsive to my email messages during the process.  I thought the price (including pick up and return) was very reasonable.  I was happy that we could recover the chairs instead of buying new.
