5-star operation. Dean and his crew were professional and responsive from the get go. They installed new quartz countertops on our existing cabinets - which is something most contractors scoff at because it's not easy to do. Case in point: they ran into an issue with the cabinets being out of level. Instead of doing what cheap "hit and run" contractors would do (ignore it, throw the backsplash up, collect final payment and start screening my phone calls once I noticed the mistake), Dean did it the right way on his own dime. I can't say enough about these guys and would recommend them to anyone looking for interior remodeling.

Poorly, Work was never supervised. Five days work was not finished after 80 days. Wrong size granite bullnose was installed. Tile workmanship was awful.

"Hi, Sorry to see this negative review when an opportunity was presented to complete the work. You mentioned that the job took 80 days. In fact, the actual job only took 4 days, and the rest of this time period was lead time. We were very upfront about this: we clearly stated that there would be lead time. Keep in mind that these countertops are over 20 years old, and a seam opened up over the dishwasher due to a lack of support. We explained that it would not be perfect for these reasons and that we would do our best to improve on the original job. You agreed and said that you understood. We got your dishwasher installed before your guests arrived, and you were very pleased. You even called and thanked us for doing so. We also explained that the only available material that matched yours had a slightly thicker edge on it which is hardly noticeable. At the time, you approved of this. We would have been more than happy to complete the final phase of the job (which was replacing two broken tiles), but your wife was very disrespectful to the tile installer. She said that she could do a better job herself when, in fact, this installer has 20 years of experience, and you can see his name mentioned many times on our review list. That being said, your original concern was making your kitchen functional again, which is what we accomplished. We never left you without a kitchen. I’m sorry you felt it was necessary to go on a public forum and do a destructive review. Thank you."

Late Thurs afternoon I called Dean Friday of DMV - who had done our kitchen and bathroom remodel over 10 years ago. He honored his guarantee and sent his crew this morning and repaired the sink - NO CHARGE! His team did an excellent job and I'm ready for the house guests I am expecting tonight!! Dean is honest, personable and a delight to work with. Customer service is at the top of his list and he and his crews work hard to make sure you are happy with the job. I highly recommend their excellent workmanship and they way Dean keeps his word! Great job DMV!!!

TDVM kitchen and bathroom remodeling did a great job for us. They are not the cheapest but I got what I wanted, quality workmanship and materials. All done in record time. Thank you Dean, you have a great team.

Do not recommend DMV. Hired due to positive reviews on this site, but was not a good experience. Individual members of the crew were nice and courteous, but whole project took much, much longer than expected because of work on other jobs and although Dean initially seemed pleasant to work with, he became increasingly difficult and unprofessional. The quality seemed good when it was initially finished, but within a few months a large crack started to develop around the grout on the tub and the grout started to come out of the edges (likely due to lack of proper support for the tub). Three large cracks have developed around the shower door and the tile is starting to separate in that area (think because of either lack of proper support for the door or water leaking through non-sealed holes in the tile causing the wood to expand). The project was very expensive and is now becoming even more expensive because we now need to hire someone for repairs.

Dean Fridy, dba DMV, and crew did a fantastic job remodeling our master bathroom! DMV remodeled a neighbor's bathrooms two years ago and we were impressed with the quality of work and creative design with the contrasting shower tiles, tub surrounds and vanity tops. Angies List had a negative review on DMV that was some what concerning but there are always two sides to a story and we decided to proceed wiith DMV based on the quality of work and design we had seen and our neighbor's recommendation. We don't regret it!. The remodel looks great! DMV crews were very professional, neat, friendly and a pleasure to have in our home. Great care was extended to minimize the constuction dust and protect our floors and furnishings. We highly recommend DMV and Dean Fridy's crews if you want a great remodeling job at a fair price. We are happy to recommend them and would hire them again for a remodeling job.

After six months of missed deadlines, horrible stress, and dealing with mistakes and damages, Dean and his crew walked off the job. Leaving us with an unfinished mess, a broken newly installed french door, damaged and leaking plumbing, uninstalled and vitiated appliances, cabinets not aligned and damaged, door pulls falling off, plywood covering hole in the wall, debris and dust everywhere, and a cracked/broken quartzite countertop that was the centerpiece of our kitchen. The stress of being a hurricane victim was compounded by being victimized by someone we thought we could trust.

We are in progress (60%+ complete) with a total master bath remodel with DMV. Dean and Scott listened to our needs and worked with us to come up with a great plan for the remodel. The plan included not only standard items but also special touches to accommodate my disabilities. Unlike some contractors, we felt that DMV understood our needs and how important this project was to us. The bid process was easy and Dean made sure that we understood the project's scope, schedule, and costs. The workers arrived on time, did excellent work, and cleaned up afterwards. We cannot ask for more than that. Once this remodel ends we will definitely call Dean for our next one. UPDATE 10-13-17 Project is complete. Bathroom looks fantastic and is much more functional than old layout. Am very happy with the results of the remodel. Thanks to Dean and his crew for a great job.

Had an excellent experience, a first-class service. Every was done on time as promised, fair pricing, that paid for the quality of the work. Most of the arrangements were also done remotely (phone, text), and it made everything much easier, since I was away from the home. In summary,y a professional service with a caring, customer-first, attitude. Highly recommended.

Outstanding work. Wouldn't believe it is the same bathroom. While not completely gutted (as we kept the floor tile), Dean and his team turned vision to reality. In the master bath we were able to enlarge the shower area and create a more open environment overall, replaced all counter tops, shower and trim tiles, fixtures and hardware, re-cut existing mirrors and custom framed. After master was complete worked on other bathrooms in our house and even had DMV work on the bathrooms at another house.

Fantastic, everything was completely professional from scheduling to completion of work. The sink looks like it did when I originally built the house. The best was the courtesy call after the job was done, which never happens anymore. I have to say one of the best experiences I have had. I highly recommend DMV to anyone.

We hired Dean Fridy after reading the reviews on Angie’s List for a granite installer. We were initially going to have our granite replaced with new granite, but Dean sold us on Silestone and we are very happy that he did. We love it! His countertop installer was fabulous, and a very hard worker. It is beautiful! Then we had Dean’s tile installer repair our backsplash. He was just as good. The tile person had to match original grouting and make numerous tile cuts to blend his work into our existing backsplash. Dean has a job supervisor, Scott, that was a good quality assurance person. Dean picked up after another contractor we had worked with many times before was unable to complete the job. Dean's initial proposal was just as competitive as the original job. We highly recommend them.

Dean got me out of a bind. I just closed on the purchase of my home, the previous owners had installed a New granite counter, so we had our new refrigerator delivered and much to my disappointment, the fridge wouldn't fit due to the counter top. Called Dean, even though he and his guys were extremely busy he sent someone over and had the granite trimmed back so my fridge now fits. Thanks for making my day.

I had a new kitchen sink install which did not fit the existing opening, so I had to find someone willing to do a small job of cutting the granite counter-top to make the sink fit. Trying to find some company or individual to do this small, though necessary job, was very difficult. Dean Fridy of DMV Kitchen & Bath came through and sent his granite guy to help me out. He did a great job at a great price. Thanks Dean!

Another great job. Phase two completed. Dean understands we need to do this work in phases because of the cost. We had new tile put in our hall bathrom this phase for the floor and around the tub/shower. Some needed plumbing repair work was done also. He made sue the tile we needed was a perfect match to the las phase job. He is very easy to communicate with. There were no hidden costs or fees. Job looks wonderful!! Planning to replace kitchen countertops next. I would highly recommend Dean for any remodeling job.

I am very pleased with the services I have received. Actually,, we are so pleased we are having work done on the other bathroom also. I found Dean to be very easy to work with, and he had great knowledge for this project. We were glad that a design was found that we approved and stayed within our budget constraints. The work was performed in a timely fashion, and communication with this company was excellent. I would rate the quality of this job as excellent. I would not hesitate to use this compnany again and would recommend with no reservations.

Friday morning we woke up to our kitchen sink sunken and broken loose from the countertop, at first glance we thought it was a job for a plumber so we contacted several plumbers and one came out Friday afternoon only to realize that it was not a job for a plumber. It did not stop the plumber from selling my wife a garbage disposal we did not need and he charged another $250 to take apart the plumbing so it did not cause any more damage with the weight of the sink.
Frantically Saturday morning I started searching for someone who did countertops and kitchen work to help us out. I must have called about a dozen people who all said the job was too small and not worth their time OR who could not see me for at least couple weeks out...It was very frustrating and feeling desperate I called the last number on my List.... Dean from DMV answered the phone and immediately I could tell he felt compassion for my situation. Although he was very busy himself and was working on a few jobs that day he offered to help me out. He came out a few hours later to visit the job and once he determined he could fix the problem he assured me that it would be fixed by the end of the day. Dean had to pull one of his guys from the Woodlands to help me out and while I had to wait till later that evening to get it done- I did not mind as he was the only person who agreed and offered to help me. He was very professional and courteous and he offered me a fair price although he had to bring someone from Woodlands. I was in a desperate position and he could have taken advantage of my desperation but he did not....he is a good guy who cares about people and in today's world- this was very refreshing. My sink was fixed and his guy added additional brackets so it never happens again. His workman was professional and left everything just as clean as he found it.
WELL DONE DEAN!!! Thank you for all your help and I will definitely tell everyone I know about my experience.

Wow we love the work that was done by Dean Friday. Our bathrooms look fantastic. We updated 2 bathrooms and the powder room, but the master bath was a complete remodel . Dean was available to us throughout the entire process. He made sure daily that the job was being executed properly . The craftsmanship of the work was perfect; his workmen were all professional and pleasant. Doing four bathrooms was a huge job, but with Dean's scheduling of the workers he kept our home livable during the process. We always had a working bathroom. We found Dean to be very accommodating. He has a wonderful vision on design as well as the understanding the underlying structural work needed to make sure everything works (and it does). During the process of remodeling the master bath Dean helped us in the selection of the materials needed. I felt he guided us in the right direction, making sure we did not make any costly mistakes. We made both material and scheduling changes along the way, and we found Dean to be flexible and accommodating to make sure we were happy. I can't say enough how clean our home was during all the work. He and his crew always left our home clean before they left for the day. We really appreciated the extra effort they put forward. If you want someone professional, honest, quality work, flexible and proud of the work they do, DMV is the complete contractor. I highly recommend Dean and would use their services again.
