DC Kitchens

Rick, owner, was excellent to work with. He installed a new double-oven to replace an old separate microwave and oven. This required modifying the existing cabinets, building a new taller pull-out drawer, and color-matching the existing stained/varnished cabinets. The quality of the new drawer was excellent, matched color (despite the previous color no longer being sold in stores), and installed the new oven (delivered previously by a separate vendor). He came a week prior to install to take measurements, check that our electrical was sufficient to handle the new oven combo, and built the new drawer off site during that following week. This made install quick and easy the following week. Rick was kind, easy to work with, worked around our difficult work schedules, and did really excellent work. I would not hesitate to hire him again and highly recommend him.

After months and months the guy did show up and did the design so at least we now have the design on my phone. I bought the deal in March but he didn't come out till June. I liked the guy and I liked what he said and what he suggest we do and all that sort of stuff. It did take a long time of me calling to get him to come out and do it. Numerous delays so that was a negative. But the guy that showed up, I guess he's the owner, knew what he's talking about. Once he showed up everything was great. When he finally did show up he was punctual. It took about 3 months for the $49 design thing.

Rick and his team did an outstanding job. They combined their creativity along with outstanding craftsman ship to combine into a beautiful work of art. A showplace that I am very proud to call mine. It was like having a friend show up everyday. I did not use an architect or decorator and allowed Rick to use his best talent to create a showpiece. I could not be happier. If you are looking to remodel you defiantly need to meet Rick. He is an artist when it comes to cabinets and ideas.

Rick ordered raised panel doors of birch and matched the stain to our existing cabinet doors,, installed them, and also installed side panels inside which were stained to match also. He installed the oven, and cleaned up nicely. The job took a couple of hours and was completed in a very professional manner at a reasonable price.

I was referred to Rick from a good friend of mine who has had her kitchen and closets remodeled by him. Called and set up an appointment for him to give us a bid. The recessed space for our old entertainment center was 8 feet high by 14 feet long so it is quite large. We had received several bids, Rick was in the middle as far as price and due to the gorgeous work he did for our friend we chose him. We wanted a new one the same dimensions and had some pictures we found online and rudimentary sketches of what we wanted. He took his measurements and made some suggestions and then sent us a drawing a few days later of what it would look like. Rick did a great job and it exceeded our expectations of what it would look like. We went with him to the granite place he uses to pick out a counter top for the entertainment center and after looking around he pointed out a piece we had missed. The piece was perfect for the entertainment center, a very nice piece of marble. When he came to install the finished cabinets I was even more impressed as they looked so great. After the install was done it exceeded our expectations again, it totally transformed the living room!!! We plan to hire Rick again to do our closets and bathrooms when we remodel those. We get lots of great compliments on the look of the entertainment center.

We got a referral from our two of our friends who had remodeling work done by DC Kitchens. After reviewing multiple service providers, we selected DC Kitchens because Rick, the owner of the company, made us most comfortable and confident with his expertise and experience (and his sense of humor). The result after all said and done is fantastic! It was delightful to work with Rick, from design to materials selection to installation to final touch up, everything was done to our satisfaction. Rick and his team were responsive and accommodating, and did everything with a "Do it right" attitude. For example, when we were not sure about our color selections, Rich helped us crystalize what we were looking for and provided custom-mixed color samples to show his understanding of our vision. He made it easy for us. Since our remodeling, we recommended DC Kitchens to one of our friends who had a much bigger project to do. I just visited their home today and saw how beautiful the remodeled areas are. Our friends are delighted. They told me that they have recommended DC Kitchens to two of their friends.

We had an old kitchen with low end appliances and fixtures in a difficult space that made using the kitchen difficult, and detracted from the value of our house.  We knew we needed something better, but could not imagine how we could change it because the space was so difficult.  We met with Rick Davis and explained our problem.  He was very personable, straight forward and listened carefully to understand what we wanted when we weren't even sure what that was.  He came back in a few days with some drawings to sketch out his ideas and they were spot on for what we needed to make the space work.  We settled on the contract price and he started work promptly and according to plan.  He was available whenever we had questions and was helpful.  He finished the work on time and on budget.  The thing I liked most about working with Rick is that he does not have the usual contractor approach of cutting corners where it can't be seen in the finished product and you only find out much later that the job was less than you paid for.  Rick builds it right and treats it like it was his own house.  It's top quality inside and out, whether you can see it or not, and that matters.  Rick is the kind of guy that after the bill is paid, you feel like you are friends, and that's because you are.  That's the kind of guy Rick is.  I still call Rick from time to time whenever I need a recommendation for anything related to his business (appliances, contractors, etc).  He has never failed to direct me to top quality help.  Our kitchen went from a problem to a center piece of the house that makes you say "Wow" when you see it. Rick has taken a big negative in our house and made it a positive that will not only help sell the house, but get us top dollar.

I could not speak more highly of DC's customer service and efforts to complete the job on time and under budget.

He's a cabinet guy and when we worked with him on our kitchen remodel, he didn't like being a general contractor leaving the supplemental items like Sheetrock repair,appliance installation and paint up to you to coordinate the other contractors. But it's not that challenging to do and he might be more flexible with that now then a few years ago when we did the kitchen. The closet was a no brainer and came out wonderful. The kitchen sold out old house. We would use him again without hesitation and recommend him regularly to others.

Everything went according to plan - from approving design, selecting granite, cabinet color, to all details involved in a total redo. Workers showed up as scheduled. Mr Davis was definitely fully involved in this project. Results: Beautiful Master Bath. Extremely pleased with entire process of this remodeling job. The updates on two smaller baths also went as planned and they look great.

Everything went great! The guys were late getting there one day but overall very professional and the work is amazing. I love my custom furniture!!!
