Connie & Joey are a great team. Fantastic communication from start to finish. Joey walked me through the whole project giving me options but also teaching me why certain items would result in a better patio cover. And it DID !! I love my new patio area and even raining, I can enjoy sitting outside. Now coming up with more projects for them. Thank you DC Builders !!

I had sidewalks repaired recently. Connie was the project manager. I appreciate the extra work that Connie did in providing the site plan and obtaining a city permit. All work was done on schedule by Jerry and his crew. The work site was left clean and tidy when finished. I would highly recommend DC Builders to others.

DC Builders were extremely great. There were a couple setbacks int he schedule due to concrete not being cured and getting an actual concrete truck to come out, both not within their control. In a way, the fact that they would not coat the concrete because it was not dry enough is not a bad thing, they could have easily done it and I could have had issues down the road, but they elected to come back the next day and try again. They even matched my existing concrete to the new concrete perfectly.I would definitely hire them again if I needed more concrete work done.

My wife and I recently hired the team at DC Builders to pour a new driveway and build a pretty hefty carport at our house. We were fortunate to get to work with Connie as our project manager and Joey as our builder. In the interest of not making you read to the end of my rambling review, they were fantastic and the quality of the their work was top notch. Starting with the bidding process, they were incredibly responsive, courteous, and patient while we honed in on what we wanted the structure to look like. We ended up changing the scope on them a couple of times and they were incredibly accommodating each time. After selecting DC Builders to do the work, things started moving at an impressive pace. They took care of working with an engineering firm to generate the structural drawings and site plan for city and HOA approval. After getting the HOA approval, they were able to get the permits from the city in just two days! This is a true testament to the value that Connie was able to bring to this project as we needed multiple permits for the driveway cutin, the structure, as well as the City of Houston traffic division given that we live on a "major thoroughfare". We did hit a small snag with the city approvals, but Connie handled it like a champ and we were able to continue the project without any delays. Joey and his team started construction the very next day. They were very considerate about keeping the work site clean and tidy while they built the structure and concrete forms. All trash and excess materials/dirt were hauled off daily and there was no damage to the yard despite the fairly heavy construction that was going on. The team worked consistently and I felt like the construction was completed in as timely of a manner as possible. Upon completion of the work, Joey and I did a quick walk-through to identify any issues. The one issue we did have (a small shard was partially separated on one of the columns) was resolved shortly thereafter. The quality of the project management and the construction was top notch. We will continue to work with DC Builders for any future improvements at our home.

Joey and his crew did an outstanding job on our new pergola and concrete project for our new hot tub. The electrical subcontractor they chose to complete the electrical side of the project was just as good as DC BUilders. All questions and details were reviewed and answered prior to the start of the job -SO NO SURPRISES! They cleanup everything and left the backyard in good shape. I would recommend DC Builders for any of your home improvement needs. Great job guys and Thank you.

Ms Lednum with DC Builders provided excellent customer service. She talked through numberous options to help pick the right colors. She also communicated during the process letting me know what to expect all the way through. The work was done timely but not rushed. We are thrilled with the outcome and love the look of our patio. Highly recommend this company and their work.

A picture says a thousand words. Poor quality work and customer service. I have put a review and pictures on Nextdoor Neighbor and will be putting pictures on Yelp and FB since this site does not have pictures. Joey was in constant contact until the job went wrong and he had my money. I contracted DC Builders to pour a driveway and porch. I wanted the porch to be stamped. I was assured by Joey that the job would be done to my satisfaction and I was getting a good price. They showed up on time the first day and built the frame. I asked that the front of the porch not come out as far, they rebuilt it and I was happy. They poured the concrete for half of the driveway and the entire porch by 10am and finished about 4:40pm. The inconsistencies of the stamped concrete were immediately apparent. The initial area stamped was nicely done, clean and neat lines. The area near the front door which was done last was very sloppy, trowel marks could be seen, lines weren't clean, and a majority of stamped area had a swirl pattern. I had chosen the large Ashlar pattern, it has no swirl pattern in the stamp. After it dried for 10 days, the area near the door looked much lighter and it has remained that way. I did not want DC Builders to seal the porch in that condition. I voiced my concerns to Joey. He would not admit that the work was inconsistent, he actually said it wasn't "that bad and stamping is an art form". I replied that he was using a pre-formed stamp and not doing it by hand so it should be more consistent. He also admitted that they had used a trowel to smooth out the top of some the stamped area which led to the swirl pattern. He then went on to suggest that the area be stained and gave me a product name. I went to Sherwin Williams, asked about the product and showed them pictures. I was advised that the product would not change the appearance of the concrete but in fact enhance what was there. I refused to let DC Builders use the product. Over the next 3 months I had to call Joey and DC Builders to try and resolve this issue. They took no initiative. They suggested another product. Joey admitted that he hadn't used the product before nor done that type of overlay. Again, after researching and calling the company the conclusion was the same, it wasn't the right product for the issue. After awhile, I was told by Joey that I would never be satisfied as a customer...this is a true sign of a bad contractor. Eventually, Joey didn't answer his phone. I couldn't leave a message because he didn't set up voice mail...how convenient. He finally suggested that I give him additional money (around $1200) to cover the cost of materials and he would rip it out and start over. I could not understand why I would need to add additional money to a job that wasn't done right in the first place. Being 3 months since all this started, I had grown weary of Joey and DC Builders. I suggested they refund me half of what the porch cost so this could be resolved. It w

I hired Joey and his team to do work. I got them through home Advisor. It happened that it took them longer to complete their job and so Joey told me that he will be charging me more money because it it's taking them longer to complete their work. When I refused that same night to pay any extra money, they completed the job. I paid for the services but then I had some questions about the job but Joey never returned my calls after many days and several attempts to reach him. He also had some particular measurements to give to me and he never did; I simply could not reach him . Use someone else.

The only problem is that the do not accept credit cards. Otherwise, the work was excellent, timely and the guys provided amazing customer service. I would recommend them to everyone.

It was an absolute pleasure doing business with DC Builders, especially with Connie and Joey. Though I have a small backyard, they made me feel like a valued customer. The team was quick to respond to all my questions and the work completed was absolutely beautiful! I’m so happy that I immediately started sharing photographs of the work DC Builders completed to friends, family members, colleagues, and even the realtor who helped me purchase my new home. Some have already said that they will definitely consider DC Builders for their next project after hearing about my experience.

My husband and I wanted to replace an old deck and flagstone walkway at the front of our house with a stained concrete porch. DC Builders were able to do the job within budget and within our time line. We had some structural issues going into the job that I was nervous about, but Joey solved the problems. I am very critical of bad craftsmanship, and I am seldom completely pleased with work we have had done in the past, but Joey and his team came in and did a remarkable job. They were there when they agreed to be and were very respectful to both me and my property. Joey kept me updated at all times. I am extremely happy with the new porch. It's beautiful!

In mid of the project, we changed and added to the design of our extended driveway project. DC Builders quickly made the adjustments and pored the extra concrete w/o any issues. Joey and Connie were easy to work with. Their crew understood the project and worked efficiently to finish the job.

DC Builders was amenable to changes I wanted to make to the design. They were flexible with permitting and HOA delays. I was always informed of next steps and they were really easy to work with.

Removed old fence, built a new wooden fence and gate to my specifications, cleaned up after themselves. I am very happy with the quality of the fence. Joey was a pleasure to work with. I will seek him out for other work around the house.

DCB replaced the old stairs, rail, and landing to my upstairs deck and created a nice new rail system for the stairs out front. They were just a little late arriving the first day of the job, but made up for it with hard work and an early start the next day. Overall, I am very pleased with what they accomplished.
