David Hicks Plumbing

We've been using David Hicks Plumbing for roughly the past five years. They've always done excellent work at a reasonable price. They're not the biggest company, so it can occasionally be hard to get them out on a moment's notice -- but they'll do their best to get you on the day's schedule in an emergency. We've used them for leaking pipes in the attic (which was today's service), garbage disposal installations, new sink faucets, outdoor faucets, and more. We've always been satisfied. Many of our previous service calls were handled by Niles (he's great). Today, we had Ian and Eric. They did a great job and were as friendly and knowledgeable as can be.

The plumber arrived on time to meet my tenant at the house, diagnosed the problem, and completed the repair satisfactorily. He was also flexible as it was apparently a busy time and other plumbers turned down the business citing that they could not take on additional work within the next few days.

They were prompt, reasonable in price, friendly and helpful and did first class work. Would highly recommend them and definitely will use them for any plumbing needs we have.

Quick response to my call, took the time to explain what the problem was and the steps to correct. Very efficient service, sticking to resolving the problem without trying to sell me "Good - Better - Best" solutions at inflated prices as the first company (J.M.) had.

It was great! We went from Galvenized to the latest and greatest. The guys read each other's mind while working. It was a super hard job! Wow! What a team! They even cleaned it up! Thanks guys! Good job David Hicks Plumbing.

I realized I had a leak so found a recommended plumber on Angies List and contacted them via their online forms (office was closed). Within minutes, I received an email requesting further detail. I followed up and sent them pictures that evening. The next morning, I called the office first thing to try to get on their schedule, and unbeknownst to me whoever had received my message in the evening had already put my name on the day's contact list. They called about 20 minutes prior to arriving (I LOVE it when providers call on their way). Upon showing the gentleman, Niles, the issue, he explained to me why it had happened and how to prevent it in the future. He also walked me through some basic understanding of the tankless water heater so I felt more confident maintaining it in the future. Unfortunately, he had no choice but to cut into the house to fix the problem, but did so minimally and with care so that it would be an easy patch to make later. He quickly repaired the problem, while wrapping it to prevent it from happening again. Every communication received from David Hicks Plumbing was with professionalism and courtesy. The fact that they were able to come out the next day and do so at a reasonable price was very much appreciated.

On the price, it's a little on the high side.

Niles and Robert were amazing! Great service in the midst of the sweltering Texas heat. Above and beyond.

They were able to come out next day and performed the job with an auger in a timely fashion and at a rate less than two other companies that I called. I would hire them again.

Their specialty is older homes, which is great for our old house. He saved us money by repairing the old and not just replacing it.

We requested service right before Thanksgiving. They were very upfront and honest about the demands and timing of service. On the first trip, the person dispatched was not able to clear the line, they needed a larger piece of equipment. Ultimately they needed to schedule another visit. On the second visit they brought the correct equipment (longer snake, ladder, another person) but it still was not able to clear the line with the longer snake. Despite that challenge, they returned to the bath and tried different ways to plunge the drain until it eventually cleared. I could have been disappointed by the multiple visits and lack of appropriate equipment at the first visit, but they ultimately cleared a difficult clog and did so at a very reasonable price given the multiple trips and people involved. Overall, I was impressed and would use David Hicks again.

They came out promptly, installed it in one day, and it has a six year warranty. The work was done quickly and efficiently.

Plumber showed up on time and completed job in a reasonable length of time. If needed in future will use them again.

Miles and Mike were amazing. They were fast and very knowledgeable. What I really liked was them including me and educating me on what they were doing and what line and pipe did what. As a non-technical woman owning a home, I sometimes feel at a disadvantage or have the fear I am going to be bamboozled. I appreciated them not only being efficient but also precise and professional. I am quite pleased. Don't want to have to use them again :-) But if I need a plumber I will call on them again.

Installed a kitchen faucet in a very tight spot in a rental apartment that I could not reach.  Did the job well and charged a reasonable price.

The person that came was very professional, and knew what he was doing! They also came w/in an hour of calling them!

These men are one of the few honest, good men left in the service business.  I have been using them for years, both at home and work.  
I had a line break at the meter out side and the city turned the water off that evening.  
By 8am the next morning David Hicks had a crew there and by 9am my water was back on.  
The following day there was some issues with some soil that had got into the line and backed up a faucet.  
I called, and with in minutes they had someone there to fix it the faucets.  
The men were courteous and so professional, and just nice.  
I have used Hicks for 15 years now and every time its and A+.

I called and left a voice mail on Sunday evening after water started leaking from my ceiling.  The plumber was at my home by 9:15 on Monday morning and finished the repairs in an hour. Not only did they repair the leak, but suggested a preventative remedy for defective pipes in my older home.   This is the fourth time that I have used David Hicks Plumbing and they are always consistently professional.
