I've used him for probably 30 years. To my estimation, they are the best. They check with me twice a year at the beginning of each season, Spring and Fall. They are, to my way of thinking, the best. I pay them on an annual basis for them to come out and do this and everything to estimate and maintain the service. They check the system, they make sure everything is working properly, the heating, the a/c. They provide any kind of adjustments that it needs. If I need parts or anything like that, I get a discount on the parts and the labor is generally included in that $100 on an annual basis unless it's major.

My AC went out during the night. I called Dave Lane first thing in the morning. They were at my house that afternoon. Their technician was knowledgeable and professional. He worked quickly and had my unit cooling my house in no time. The price was fair and reasonable. Unlike another recuse service I called. I would recommend Dave Lane to anyone who asked. They have a A rating here on Angie's List and no complaints with the BBB. If the service I received is their norm I understand A ratings and no complaints.

I called them at 9:00. They were here by 9:30, and finished by 10. They replaced my heating/AC about 8 years ago. Whenever I have an issue, they have responded promptly and fixed my problem.

Replaced my 2nd story 2 ton ac and heater with a Trane XLi 20.  New duct work for the upstairs and relocated the 1st floor return from the 2nd story to the 1st floor.  I live in a 1968 house.  By moving the return airs down stairs and having a true split system with the Trane Xli 20 the upstairs stays nice cool and crisp.  I can keep at 74 with no issues.  Awesome job by Dave Lane AC

Maybe it is just chance but since they've been doing our inspection, 'tune up' we've had zero problems with our heat and a/c unit. They always show up in window given, are super polite, ready with advice and like I said, seem to keep us up and running.. we've been using them for four years now and will continue to do so. I do see ads now and then with lower rates at other companies for the same surface, but it's not enough to change.

It was great, I've had no problems. I've been using this company for around ten years and would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

I have 2 A/C units and we ended up just replacing one.
They had come by the previous summer when I first had A/C issues. They worked on my 2 A/C units and got them going without replacing them. They fixed leaks, cleaned the drain lines, added frieon and maybe replace a pump.. What they did gave me another year without having to make a panicked decision. The others that had come by all wanted me to replace both units. And replace them with bigger units - no less....
When the A/C units were struggling again 12 months later, I called them back. I got 3 or 4 other quotes and only one other company was close to theirs. I am very happy with the unit that I purchased and the service. I plan to call them again.

They are just the most wonderful guys. I used to be a single mom and I didn't have alot of money. They were just awesome and worked with me with to be able to keep heating and cooling in my home until I could have it replaced. Personal service exemplified.

We have used Dave Lane since 1986, when we first moved into this house . My parents had been using Dave Lane since he opened and were pleased, so we called on them. We bought a new air-conditioning system shortly thereafter. It lasted until 2006, when we had Dave Lane put in another new system, and boy, were there some great advancements in technology by then! Anyway, they showed us a great variety of options and we settled on one that has done the job (and saved on our electric bill). Over the years, we have had excellent service, always, from these folks. The few times we have had an A/C emergency or issue, they are quick to respond and to take care of things. The people who work for this company are always professional, always prompt, and always careful of my home. I highly recommend them. I've recommended them to many friends over the years, but only by word-of-mouth, so it's time to get my 2 cents worth included here at Angie's List!

I had a coil replaced in the system but continued to have cooling issues. Multiple repair trips, including trying to sell me a control board after the coil replacement and the issue was still not fixed. The company kept putting in freon into the system without ever locating the root cause. I contacted Dave Lane and told them my issue. The system was a Trane and Dave Lane is an authorized Trane dealer. The tech showed up and within 20 minutes identified a leak caused by an improper installation of the new coils. While I probably could have contacted the company that install the new coils, I was done with them. Dave Lane took my problem as their own, worked to replace the coil under warranty, installed and charged the system.We have now hit the summer months and the system is cooling great! If I ever have additional AC needs, Dave Lane is who I'm calling!

We got a recommendation from a friend. I very much like his company. They're punctual and I've been using him since.

I initially sought to three bids for this job. Dave Lane was not the cheapest but definately made the best impression. I then found out from a friend who works as an architect for an architectural design/build firm that they have been using Dave Lane on residential remodels for years, with excellent results, and that sold me. I signed the paperwork just before Thanksgiving and we agreed on a start date. The crew was on time and finished the job in two days. I was out of town, but a neighbor who keeps an eye on things reported on how clean they were as they worked, and my cleaning lady's reaction was the only clue that anything had changed was the new thermostat. I did find a couple of minor things that required correction, and a crew was out the nexst day to take care of these. You can find people who will do the work cheaper, but professionalism and the good quality of this company is hard to top.

He is excellent! I have used him over 20 years. I trust them to come into my home without me there. Their quality of work is terrific! I wouldn't use anyone else.
