CUSTOM LIGHTING & HARDWARE

I purchased the lights from Houston Lighting and Hardware and when picking up the fixtures, Jordon Patrick, who works in the warehouse overheard me discussing the difficulty in finding a good installer. He gave me his card and a price sheet which looked really good. I hired him instantly and he showed up that evening around 6:30PM. We fed Jordon since we assumed that he did not eat. Things started well with the chandalier in the dining room but quickly turned bad when he attempted to hang a ceiling fan in my daughters room. He couldn't attach the light to the fan due to the type of connection, which he should have connected while on the ground in lieu of hanging in the air. He decided it was getting late and stated he would be back once my new lights arrived for the rest of the house. So I had one light hung and part of a ceiling fan hung that he charged 125.00. Although the one light was priced on his sheet at 50.00 I went ahead and paid as if I could trust his return to complete the project. I've called for Jordon 8 times but to no avail. I spoke with the manager (Calvin) at the lighting store and was told that Jordon was avoiding me. If Jordon had at least "Manned-Up" and told me he wasn't going to return for any reason, I would have accepted his excuse and moved on, but, he decided to leave me hanging and avoid me. I believe Jordon Patrick would have ended up billing me approx. 1500.00 if he had completed. Lessoned learned-do not hire installers from the warehouse of any store.
