It went very well. My wife and I are very please with the craftmanshIp of pir cabinets. He also replace all the doors to match. I was surprised at the quality of work. I would definately recommend Joe.

Working with Joe was a great experience for us. Joe is a very friendly person, prompt to respond and focused on delivering a quality product. Our project demanded a true wood worker. A simple installation of pre-fab cabinetry wasn't going to get the job done.
It has been a year since our job was completed. I think we're actually more pleased with the end product now than when it was initially completed (and, we were pleased when the job was completed). Joe's cabinets have held up to our 10 month old swinging on the cabinet doors, running walkers into the cabinetry and all sort of other infant mayhem with hardly a scratch.

It went very well. I gave him the wrong dimensions and so when he brought it and I first saw it I was aghast. I told him I had made a mistake and he was very helpful, took the vanity back to his shop and over the weekend fixed it. He brought it back the following week and it is fabulous. If I could I would load a picture of it for you to see. It looks wonderful. After the granite was installed he came back and fixed the bead board they had to tear out and the baseboards and trim...
If you need a high quality, artisan type person... you should call Joe. He is a true artist when it comes to cabinetry and carpentry.

Joe was awesome. I sent out 2 previous emails to other Handymen on this site. Never got a reply. Took pics of my cabinet and asked for a quote etc. They never bothered to respond. I then typed in Cabinets and up popped Joe. He responded right away and came to my house to take measurements etc and see exactly what he needed to build a cabinet to fit my space. My cabinet was over 30 years old. He quoted me a price. I gave him half and he said it would be ready in about a week and a half. Well, one week later he called and said it was ready. He and his helper came and took out my old cabinet and replaced it with his new one. He had to take my marble slate off the top and also my mirror above the cabinet. He made sure he cleaned up after his work. It looks terrific. I thank him because he is a busy guy and did a small job for me when the others I contacted on Angies List didn't have time to even respond back. He is one great craftsman and cabinet maker.

I contacted Mr. Culpepper regarding a project that needed to be completed within a week. I was concerned that he wouldn't have enough time to complete the work. He was very cordial and easy to talk to. He asked for some pics to further understand my needs. I sent those and promptly heard back from him confirming that he could do the job. He contacted me 3 days later and had already completed the work. I drove to his location to complete the transaction and I was completely thrilled with his work. He completely exceeded my expectations and finished the work so quickly. I would certainly use Culpepper Custom Woodworks for any future projects. I would also recommend this company to friends & family.

Joe did a great job and was very timely in his services. His quality is second to none and was a very pleasant experience all the way around. Joe came in and drew a design up for me and had pricing back the same day. He gave me an estimated time of completion which was right on point and the installation couldn't have been a smoother process. Great work from a great person, you will definitely be satisfied with the all around service and quality. Will be calling Joe again for future work.

Joe was extremely responsive from the very beginning. The very first time I called he answered his phone, talked to me at great length about what I needed, and set up an appointment to come see the space and take measurements. He came a few days after our initial conversation and we talked about my requirements and timing. I was looking for something simple, not too pricey. I wanted them stain grade. He quoted me $1,300 for the 3 pieces, made from maple. I told him I wasn't in a big hurry. He took all the measurements and told me he'd build them in his shop and then install them. I wanted the vanity to be 24" deep, which he made note of. A few days later he called back and was worried that he might not be able to fit a 24" cabinet through the bathroom doors. I measured the doors and sure enough we would have had to remove the door and jamb stops to get the cabinet in. We changed the width to 23 1/4". I was so pleased that he thought ahead, I would have been very upset (with myself) if he had built it at 24" and then couldn't get it in the room. He finished the cabinets in only a few weeks and was ready to install them. I actually had to put him off a week, I wasn't quite ready for them. When I was ready, he came late one day after I got home from work and installed them in a matter of about an hour and a half. They are absolutely beautiful. I was beyond thrilled. I only had one issue, a warped door that wouldn't close properly. Joe worked on the door but couldn't get it to close, so we decided to build a new one. He had it ready in a week, brought it over, and installed it. It closes perfectly. He also left me the old door and some scrap pieces to try out stain colors.
I can't say enough good things about my experience. Joe is just so nice, hard-working, prompt, and really good at his job. I will most definitely use him again when I move to another room in my "20 year remodel".

All we can do is read the reviews of the particular specialist we are looking for, contact them, discuss our needs...pick one and then cross our fingers and hope we made the right choice. The proof, is of course, in the finished product. I picked Joe Culpepper and hoped for the best. Well, Joe just drove away from our Condo and my wife and I could not be more pleased with what he left us with...we are both 'blown-away' with his superb craftsmanship.
We contacted Joe to build us a Media Center w/ bookshelves in our Master Bedroom. It was tricky in that it was a combination of curved shelves coming around a corner to connect with some straight lined shelves. Joe made it look 'seamless' as though it was one complete unit and not individual units that had been expertly pieced together and made to look as one. His design was well thought out and he gave us a unit that gives us a lot of flexibility in arranging the appearance of the shelves and their contents.
If you are looking for someone who knows how to 'work with wood'...your search is over. You will not need to cross your fingers as Joe is a 30 yr. veteran and knows his stuff. In the future when I need custom work done, Joe will be the man I call and I encourage anyone reading this review to do the same for your woodworking needs. 'BIG' thumbs up for the skills of Joe Culpepper.

When Joe arrived at my house to look at the staircase, he looked at the spindles and we decided on a shape for the new spindles. He then asked if I had the original paint. I explained that we had just moved in so no we didn't. He then asked if we could check in the garage for the paint. We did this but I was unable to locate a can of paint marked for the stairs. Joe however thought one of the cans would work and insisted on taking that one. When he installed the spindles he made no mention of the color difference and when I mentioned it just said the other spindles needed to be painted also.

I knew what I wanted overall and Mr. Culpepper did a great job of listening and building exactly what I envisioned. Throughout the entire process he was good about keeping me informed of his progress, and the finished product is beautiful.
