Cool Aid Services

The AC was making a horrible noise. We turned it off and called Cool Aid. Jason was able to work us in that afternoon. He explained that all that was needed was an inexpensive part. Unfortunately the part had to be ordered as ours is an older unit and Harvey intervened. However, the part came in the Wednesday after the storm and Jason brought it that evening, immediately after it arrived, braving flood waters across Houston. No attempt was made to up sell us on a simple fix and I appreciate the honesty and effort.

I would give them very high ratings. They get straight A's. Yes, I would use them again.

I wish all companies were as reliable and competent as Cool Aid Services! Great work.

After the service work was completed, Cool Aid spent some time with us to fully understand what our issues and expectations of the system were. We had the unit installed about six years ago and have never been happy with the overall performance. They had reasonable solutions to improving the performance and correcting some issues with the prior installation. All of this was communicated in a very professional way. It had been communicated to us before that our low price contractor that installed the system may have cut some corners. Cool Aid confirmed some of this and gave us some options as to when it would be most economical to fix the problems.
We found them to be very honest and knowledgeable. We will have them fix the issues we have with the original installation. They will also be our choice for service work. Very impressed, they don't get much better than this,

They were really nice guys. They get it done right the first time and you don't have to worry about anything. They are honest. The quality of work and customer service is excellent.

We had noticed that it was getting very hot in our house, so we called this company as they had installed a new furnace a few years prior. We had dealt with the owner for the furnace installation, but this time they sent out a new person. I got the impression that he was trying to con me. He tested the outside a/c unit and said that it needed to have a device installed to help it run better. After installing the device, the fan stopped working. He then said that the fan was spinning in the wrong direction, and that we needed a new fan motor.
They also charged us labor for the time they spent to go pick up the fan motor. When I called to complain about the price, they did knock $65.00 off the bill, but after speaking to my father-in-law, an electrician, he said that it shouldn't have cost more than $350.00 for the parts and labor. The repairs did solve the problem, but still seems like we were gouged.

I did not find them through Angie's List but they were recommended to me by somebody. I have a very old air conditioner. They did a very good job. Everything was very clearly explained to me. The job was done very efficiently and very politely. I would absolutely use them again in the future.
